Course Curriculum Overview
I choose this course because of industry demand. The carriculum is just okay for real world applications because some subjects are not that relevant for this course. Course carriculum should be designed as per current market demand and real life applications. Exams are taken semester wise. The difficulty level of exams is moderate.
Internships Opportunities
No such internship opportunities are provided. But college permits students for off campus internships. Some paid course or intrenships are provided. Only a few students can get internships in off campus.
Placement Experience
Students become eligible for campus placement from 7th semester. TCS, Infosys, Capgemini, Accenture, Wipro are the top recruiters. Higheset package in our college is 32 LPA at Amazon. In 2023 the highest package was 21.64 LPA. Average package is approximately 3.34 LPA. Percentage of students placed is approximately 60%. I would like to be placed in a company after the degree.
Fees and Financial Aid
The total fee for my course is Rs. 625000. For the first year the fee is Rs. 178000. For the second year the fee is Rs. 147000. For the third year the fee is Rs. 149000. For the fourth year the fee is Rs. 151000. The college fee is increasing year by year. Registration (MAKAUT registration) fee is Rs. 2700. Exam fee for every semester is Rs.1200. College fee for TFW category is very less as compared to general category students. Swami Vivekananda Merit Cum Means scholarship is available for eligible students.
Campus Life
Cultural fest and tech fests are held. The name of tech fests are PARIDHI and TECH EXTRA. One can access books and journals easily by taking permission. Projecter is present in every classroom. Outdoor gaems like football and cricket tournaments are held. Indoor games like chess, carrom and table tennis are also present. Clubs for other extracarricular activities like singing, painting, dancing etc are present.
Admission
I applied for Techno Main Salt Lake, Future Institute of Technology, RCC Institute if Technology etc. I choose this college because it is overall decent and matched my eligibility. I did not got TMSL because my WBJEE rank was not enough for this college. My college gives addmission mainly through two processes - counselling and direct admission. One can get admission in my college through WBJEE counselling. WBJEE and JEE Mains are the exams accepted for my course. Most students prefer WBJEE.
Faculty
The faculty to student ratio is approximately 5:22. Faculty to student relationship is good. Faculties I liked are Pritam Chandra ( Department of EC), Anirban Bose (Department of ME), Sarmee bose (Department of BSH), Jayita Pal (Department of BSH). I like them because of their behavior and teaching style. There is no such faculties I did not like. Exams occur twice in a year (in two semesters). The difficulty level is decent. Pass percentage is approximately 65%.
Night Life
The size of the college campus is very small. No gym is present in college. It has a canteen and the food quality is decent. Library remain open during college time. Students can access these during college time. No hostel that is associated with college is present. But private hostel and pgs are present near the college. The locality is safe to roam around at night but one should be stay alert.
