Remarks

Though college had a very bad infrastructure and also don't have any attractive accomodation but it has an extraordinary faculty with amazing knowledge and the main thing that is necessary for a student is not facilities but faculties. We go to college to gain some knowledge which can be only possible through a perfect professor that is provided by our college.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

History Hons is an interesting subject. Since many of us found history a boring one but there is lot many things to explore about this subject and we have many fields open after this course. Basically we have to deal with ancient, mediaeval and mordern history during our 3 years of course. I found it really interesting as it broaden up my mind and makes me think analytically.

Internships Opportunities

Yes, but the internship is not for our course. It provides internship for other courses like for economics Hons and for b.com program. Many companies regarding these subjects provides internship for the aspiring students.

Placement Experience

2.5

It is an Undergraduate College. There are less opportunities regarding jobs as it is an off campus college located in a remote area so very few companies came to pick students from this college or we can say minor companies came there.

College Events

4

We have College Elections, then Fresher Parties, then Carnival, then Fests, then Farewell, then Annual Function. In mid-time we also have Sports Day, Competitions like Debates, Essay writings, story writings, art and crafts, cultural activities etc.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Feasible, since it is a government college. The college fees is affordable to all. This college is basically meant for the girls living in remote areas. But anyone from outside can take admission in this college.

Fees and Financial Aid

The girls who scores A grade in subjects get 1000 rupees per subject that can be act as a scholarship or reward for the students. College don't provides loan. Also for further studies if a student were good at academics she can be saved from enterance exams she will be directly selected through her Merit.

Campus Life

2.5

Labs are extraordinarily superb. We had many cultural events throughout the year which includes dancing, singing, nukkad nataks, paintings, article writing, story writing, debates etc in which students from other colleges were invited and cash prizes are given to the winners. Similarly, sports day is celebrated every year in which sports like kho-kho, kabaddi, tug of war, 100 m race, long jump, high jump, short put had been played.

Hostel Facilities

3

We don't have hostel in our college. Facilities provided was not upto the mark I will rate it as 4/10. Canteen- 5/10 Sports ground-6.5/10 Basketball court-6/10 Hygiene-6/10 Transportation-5/10 Desks-7/10 Board-6/10 M.P. hall- 7/10 Union Room- 6/10

Alumni/Alumna

There are no alumni network. only the person who is good at communicating with seniors can be offered to persue help from them otherwise they get no longer in contact after finishing the degrees. There were alumni meet each year in which only few students were able to attend this meet.

Exam Structure

It is based on 6 semester and 3 year program. Exams were basically occurred in the cycle of 6 months say for December and in May. We had 26 papers which are biforgete as 4,4 in first year, 5,5 in second, 4,4 in third year. It varied from course to course.

Admission

Since it is a Delhi University's off campus college only few students know about this college. I have been selected through cut off based process provided by University of Delhi. We just have to submit all our documents regarding class 12 which includes marksheet, character certificate, admission form, also we have to attach one photocopy of our 10 marksheet.

Faculty

5

I had an amazing faculty. All the professors had best degrees from reknowned Universities and also act as a guide as well as friend with students. One thing that I like the most about them was their cooperation and their ability to deliver their knowledge with their students.

Placement Experience:

Placements are available in college, the drive is quite extensive, everyone is made aware of the choices and options and counselling is present too. It is from the third year, students are eligible to apply for placements. Companies and organisations take part such as Niti ayog, Times, Geostrata, Prajatantra foundation, etc. Those who desire usually work on their CVs, keep on doi internships and then get a placement. The packages are not that impressive to be honest.

The course is really very interesting. It keeps up with our expectations. Involves both practical and theoretical aspects to make sure that we are able to face the real world. Also, with the help of the guidance that we get from teachers we're able to ace both the aspects. The examinations also are based on applications, thus, helping us to enhance ourselves in all possibilities.

I got a seat in Ramjas College. It is a north-campus college. The infrastructure is too good compared to the remaining colleges. The teaching also going well but I faced some language problems. I'm from south India so I don't understand Hindi properly. But here mostly they teach in Hindi only and English is used very rarely.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course itself is prestigious and is mostly opted for by people who plan either on preparing for the Civil Services or those who want to pursue academia. The course structure is framed in a manner that you don't just simply study history there, but you ingrain a critical viewpoint of a young historian. The faculty of History Hons. has some of the best Professors in the University, although you will in any course at any college find some teachers below your expectations, you don't have to bear them for more than 1 or 2 semesters. Passing the exams is not very difficult, but yes scoring above average is. If you get a GPA ranging from 6 to 7, you've performed fine. Above that is considered a Very good performance in Hons. courses of Social sciences at Delhi University. there are semester exams every 5- 6 months
