Ramjas- The College of Activism

Positively it could be said that ramjas is good for exposures and academics but negatively it needs improvement in its administration. More academic interactive sessions must be organised and it should be kept away from interference of any political party with stringent attempts to prevent hooliganism in college campus.

The course curriculum is too large for three year integrated program. It prevents the students to have in-depth study of a particular topic and moreover it lacks conceptual content.Course curriculum must be based on present day needs and relevance

Yes but not much scope for political science students. There havnt been any interaction with the cell. However online registration ensures notifications for internships but not much helpful for a political science student

Not much good placement cell. Only few i have heard who got jobs.There has not been provision of much job opportunities by the cell for political science students. But for other course i have heard of good opportunities.

fest,freshers and farewells with some academic talks are part of events. As the college is politically active there are times when the organozation of these are disrupted. There have been sometimes postponing of events due to inefficiancy of administration and college union.

feasible structure of fee as compared to other private colleges because it is part of du. But demands have been made from time to time for concessions to be given in terms of fee to economically backward students.

There is not specific scholarship or loan facility provided by the college. But the students belonging to below a particular income group as prescribed by govt of india can avail scholarship with minimum percentage of 85

Extracurricular activities are good. College has good drama and dance society with good sports activities. But to enhance participation in societies the students who want to attend lectures and be a part of society must be given more concessions in terms of attendance

Hostel infrastructure is above average and as i am a delhite i cannot tell much about hostel facilites but from the inferences of my friends the improvemnts in condition of hostel mess and water availability are required

Yes senior students are helpful and interaction is possible. But it is only one to one interaction. There is no facebook page or link through which interaction is ensured and a community is build which could help new entrants.

2 semester per year including 1 internal and 1 external. Internals are checked by teachers and it includes 5 marks for attendence. 25 marks is for internal and 75 for external. Sometimes there are discripancies in checking of internals.

I got the admission through merit basis. But admission process in the college was at large a chaotic process. I with many students had to wait for at least 5 hrs for their admission process to be completed. The crux of this fault lied in inability of administration to perform their duties.

Political science faculty of ramjas is good. Teachers are very helpful and encouraging. However strength of teachers in the faculty is very less. There have been some occasions when the teaching of a particular paper has been dropped because of lack of teachers.
