Course Curriculum Overview

4

I chose this course because I want to study history that will help in my UPSC optional exam. There are many additional subjects added to your course in every semester that help in real life like Environment studies, Advertisement studies, Communication etc. The teachers mostly focus on bookish knowledge. Teachers should also focus on practical knowledge like Monument visit etc. The exams conducted every six months in May june and November December. The level of examination is moderate.

Internships Opportunities

1

Placement cell is also present in my college which helps in preparation of interviews. Honestly the Placement rate in my college is very low. Only 10% of total students is selected and that also from science and commerce side. There were a couple of university internships available like VC internship which is paid internship. Many private internship is also available.

Fees and Financial Aid

I paid Rs 13500 in first year for Ba (program) for General category ,12500 for 2nd year and 3rd year. Rs.1000 is less for SC/ST sudents. Everything is included in this fees. No other charges is taken except examination fees. You have to pay Rs. 510 per semester for 4 subjects while filling examination form. There is Central government scholarship available in my college in which whole fees is refunded Also there is a college scheme in which whole fees exempted for poor students.

Campus Life

5

My campus life was very good. I came from small city and always dreamed of living a college life like movies and shows. I exactly live that type of college life. Every year there is a fest named Sabrang in February March. The library is very big, second biggest in off campus. There are 3 big halls in library. Books and newspapers are also available. There are labs and gym also present in college Many Sports like Cricket Football VolleyBall Archery etc. Many Indoor games are also available like Badminton, Table Tennis, Chess etc. Any student can access sports equipments by their Id cards. Many societies are also available like Dance, Drama, Photography, Debate etc. NSS and NCC are also available

Admission

I applied for DU, JMI, AU, AMU,BHU. I got admission opportunity in DU, AMU, AU but I selected DU because I want to come Delhi for Coaching So I want to settle in Delhi. I got rejected from JMI and BHU because I think I didn't study well enough for entrance. I think if Student is serious about university, he should buy paid study courses available on youtube and other sites. I took admission in 2021 at that time merit based system. Now Cuet is going on Please refer to the NTA official website for latest admission process.

Faculty

3

There is a teacher assigned to 60 students. The faculties are either Phd or pursuing Phd. Most teachers are well behaved except a few old harsh teachers. You can approach teachers easily. Mr Rajeev Gupta, Mr Choturam Meena, Mr Anuj Rawat are the best teachers in my college. Mr KrishnaUnni is the worst teacher that taught me because he cut marks unnecessarily in practical exams not only mine but 90% of the students. There is exam conducted in every six months semester wise. There is practical exam of 25 marks in which 10 marks is for project, 10 marks is for class test and 5 marks for attendance. The theory exams is for 75 marks.

Night Life

3

Night life is also good in my college. My college is situated in kalkaji. Many food outlets like KFC, McDonald, Nazeer, Pizziano, Dominos is nearby college. Gyms and many parks are also available in nearby areas. Campus timings are from 8 in the morning till 6 in the evening. Mostly PG and private hostels timings are 10 at night. Famous places like lotus temple, Hauz Khas, CR park market is nearby After 11 pm it is usually not safe to roam around at night especially for girls. There were few incidents of theft happened in front of me.

Placement Experience:

Placements are available in college, the drive is quite extensive, everyone is made aware of the choices and options and counselling is present too. It is from the third year, students are eligible to apply for placements. Companies and organisations take part such as Niti ayog, Times, Geostrata, Prajatantra foundation, etc. Those who desire usually work on their CVs, keep on doi internships and then get a placement. The packages are not that impressive to be honest.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is really very interesting. It keeps up with our expectations. Involves both practical and theoretical aspects to make sure that we are able to face the real world. Also, with the help of the guidance that we get from teachers we're able to ace both the aspects. The examinations also are based on applications, thus, helping us to enhance ourselves in all possibilities.

I got a seat in Ramjas College. It is a north-campus college. The infrastructure is too good compared to the remaining colleges. The teaching also going well but I faced some language problems. I'm from south India so I don't understand Hindi properly. But here mostly they teach in Hindi only and English is used very rarely.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course itself is prestigious and is mostly opted for by people who plan either on preparing for the Civil Services or those who want to pursue academia. The course structure is framed in a manner that you don't just simply study history there, but you ingrain a critical viewpoint of a young historian. The faculty of History Hons. has some of the best Professors in the University, although you will in any course at any college find some teachers below your expectations, you don't have to bear them for more than 1 or 2 semesters. Passing the exams is not very difficult, but yes scoring above average is. If you get a GPA ranging from 6 to 7, you've performed fine. Above that is considered a Very good performance in Hons. courses of Social sciences at Delhi University. there are semester exams every 5- 6 months
