Course Curriculum Overview

5

The specific aspects of the curriculum that influence me to choose this course is i have seen many people make very great and successful career by persuing english honours and they get offered from abroad. Also English is my favourite subject from childhood that's why I choose english honours. By giving many tasks and presentation the curriculum prepares me for the real world because these tasks bring out me from my comfort zone and helps me to become a great version of myself and improve my self . And gain more confidence in me . The frequency and timings of exam are comes in every 6 months of a year . There are 2 semester in a year and between 2 semester many tests were conducted by the professors. The difficulty level depends on the students preparetion how much they have prepared for the exam it's not that much difficult if we study 2to 3 hours in a day we can score good marks in our exam.

Internships Opportunities

4

Name of the companies and roles offered under the internship with stipend Deshbandhu College 1)Cognizant - Interns can work in IT-related roles, focusing on software development, project management, or business analysis. 2)Wipro - Opportunities may include roles in IT services, project management, or business process outsourcing. 3)HDFC Bank - Interns might work in banking operations, sales, or customer service roles. 4)TCS (Tata Consultancy Services) - Interns can be involved in software development, IT consulting, or business analysis. 5)ICICI Bank - Roles may include financial analysis, customer relationship management, or operations.

Placement Experience

4

From 6 semester students become eligible for campus placement but if we doing 4 years of college so 8 semester. Name of the companies visited. Zomato Amazon Uber Ibm There are around 70000 students who are eligible for the placement Asiants paints The highest and average package offered to the students is 35 LPA for highest and 3-4 LPA average. The percentage of a student must be above 80 percent if they want a average job but if a person want a job in great company they should have percentage around 90 to 95. My plans after getting the degree to become a lecturer. placements, especially for students in popular courses like commerce, economics, and science. The college often invites various companies for campus recruitment, and many students have secured jobs in reputable firms. the extent of placements can vary each year based on market conditions, the courses offered, and the students' performance. If campus placements are limited or not offered, students can still focus on enhancing their employability. By making them selves skillful growing them selves from iner side By skill Development Engage in skill-building activities such as online courses, workshops, or certifications that are relevant to your field. Skills in areas like data analysis, digital marketing, programming, or communication can significantly boost your employability. By Internships seek internships during your course. They provide practical experience and can often lead to job offers. Internships also help you build a professional network by Networking Attend industry events, seminars, and workshops to connect with professionals in your field. Networking can lead to job opportunities that may not be advertised and Higher Studies Consider pursuing further education, such as a master's degree or professional courses, which can enhance your qualifications and open up more job opportunities Entrepreneurship. We can start our own business from which we don't have to get depends on companies.

Fees and Financial Aid

I payed 13491 for my 1st year and except that I payed 1500 for 1st semester exam and for second semester I have to pay again. I have to pay almost 2000 yearly including examination fee, registration fee, college fee all over fee by using sc quota. The fee of my batchmates is around 30000 including examination fee, registration fee because they belong to general category. Right now I didn't get any scholarship yet I have applied for it and soon I will recieve that. If we belong to SC,ST or OBC category so will get 50% of our college fees.

Campus Life

The annual fest of my college is sabrang and monthly there are the fest call enthnic day which was celebrated in my college with dj evening. In my college there are also celebrated saraswati pooja . The range of and accessibility of books and journals has very vast collection in my college library. Very Great facilities were provided by the college extra curricular activities and for sports. Deshbandhu college is famous for its extracurricular activities. Yes there many group ruin by the students of my college from different society there are a timbre which is a music.

Admission

So for we have toh give cuet exam to get admission in college. So I got Shyam lal college which was in shadra and course Which I got is english honours before deshbandhu so when I got Shyam lal I see it's NIRF ranking, infrastructure, Faculty management and environment so I found that They are not good and according to that the fee of my course is very high . My course fee was 25200 that was not worth it for me because shyam lal college NIRF ranking was 67 and college is also not good that much so I applied for upgrade and then I got deshbandhu so when I searched for it I saw that the infrastructure and NIRF ranking , faculties and environment or deshbandhu is excellent and the fee or my course is half amount of Shyam lal college fee. I got english honours in deshbandhu college and my fee was 13491 and NIRF ranking of deshbandhu college is 16th and it is very near from my home I can easily travel daily. So deshbandhu is far better then shyam lal college that's why I choose deshbandhu college.

Faculty

4

The relationship between faculty and students is very supportive and good. Faculty provides all support to students they performing their duty very nicely. The name of a faculties which I like and why didi i like them. So my favourite facilities are english faculty and political faculty . I like these faculties because these subjects are my favourite subject and the professors of this subject are amazing and very talented also. Which creates my interest in these faculties more and more. The facilities that I don't like is Hindi department and sociology because i feel that makes my bored and the professors of these department are not good. That's why I didn't choose hindi and sociology for study. There are 2 semester in a year so there are total 2 exam conduct by the college in a year for every year and between 2 semester many ut tests were conducted by the professors. The exams are not very difficult if we study 3 hours daily so we can pass our exams easily with great marks.

Night Life

5

The gym area of my college is the best place in the college all machines are available there. There are two food place in my college one is cafeteria and 2nd is canteen. The food of both place is very hygienic and tasty. The library of my college is very best place with full of peace we can go there for reading any time great by service given in the library for the students. Students can go there and work their comfortably without any disturbance.

Other Applied Colleges

Placement Experience:

Placements are available in college, the drive is quite extensive, everyone is made aware of the choices and options and counselling is present too. It is from the third year, students are eligible to apply for placements. Companies and organisations take part such as Niti ayog, Times, Geostrata, Prajatantra foundation, etc. Those who desire usually work on their CVs, keep on doi internships and then get a placement. The packages are not that impressive to be honest.

The course is really very interesting. It keeps up with our expectations. Involves both practical and theoretical aspects to make sure that we are able to face the real world. Also, with the help of the guidance that we get from teachers we're able to ace both the aspects. The examinations also are based on applications, thus, helping us to enhance ourselves in all possibilities.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course itself is prestigious and is mostly opted for by people who plan either on preparing for the Civil Services or those who want to pursue academia. The course structure is framed in a manner that you don't just simply study history there, but you ingrain a critical viewpoint of a young historian. The faculty of History Hons. has some of the best Professors in the University, although you will in any course at any college find some teachers below your expectations, you don't have to bear them for more than 1 or 2 semesters. Passing the exams is not very difficult, but yes scoring above average is. If you get a GPA ranging from 6 to 7, you've performed fine. Above that is considered a Very good performance in Hons. courses of Social sciences at Delhi University. there are semester exams every 5- 6 months
