- The campus is really peaceful serene and beautiful.
- The hostel culture is really really strong and that leads to full Chichorre vibes during the GC and is indeed my favourite time of the semester
- Something or the other is always happening, whether it be a competition or some fest . There is never a dull moment
Dislikes
- The academics are really really heavy and demanding
- The attendance policy of 75% is also followed to a T.
- The weather during the monsoon semester is horrid. The humidity will want to you to enter your room and never come out
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum of Engineering Physics is really well rounded and also quite challenging but for someone with a knack for knowledge it gets really interesting. Although in first year all students have common courses only
Internships Opportunities
The internship opportunities really open up from 3rd year onwards but even for first yearites and sophomores intern fairs are hosted as well as countless competitions which allow you to get some real projects under your belt
Placement Experience
As an IIT the placements are ofcourse top of the line. Although my branch is a lot more inclined towards academia but still students can apply for jobs of any field The opportunities to learn different skill is truly endless

Campus Life
The campus life may just be the best part of IIT Guwahati. Be it the general championship or Alcheringa the college truly comes alive multiple times a semester. There is a club for everything and if you find an interest which does not have a club then you can just grab your friends and make one
Hostel Facilities
The hostels may look old (because they are) but you only care about the size of the room( really small) for maybe a day because what truly makes the hostel are the people. You will your best friends in your hostel. The hostel culture is really strong as you live in the same hostel during the course of your degree.
Admission
I chose this college because it was one of the best college which provided engineering physics programme . I got into this college based on my JEE ADVANCED rank . The admission process is all through JoSSA and happens after the results of JEE ADVANCED
Faculty
The faculty members are highly educated as well as highly professional but that doesn't mean they are unapproachable. All professors are always just an email away . The faculty-to-student ratio depends on the branch. The exams can be a little demanding but nothing some all nighters can't handle :) Students do fail exams but that depends in professor to professor.
Night Life
There a lot of hangout spots in the 700-acre campus. The 5 lakes the countless canteens or the food court all sere as spots where students can come together to talk about nothing and everything. There are no in timings for students allowing true freedom. Couples find themselves sitting by serpentine lake.
