AMRITA COLLEGE A LOVE HATE RELATIONSHIP

The course plans are really good as we have theory classes and lab classes to test the theory out The curriculum has a course called CIR where they teach soft skills communication skills and other real life skills which help in interviews and other professional related exams and vivas The improvement could be to incorporate more applications of the theory made into the syllabus so we can get a good understanding on where to apply it

There are many internship opportunities in our college and they take the internship companies as the placements later our seniors told that the placements are also really good and the faculty really help during the placements and etc

Placements in our college start after Semester 6 and go on until they graduate Many companies visit our college as it is one of the prestigious colleges in india due to its academics and discipline and we are even taught values and life skills due to which we can become a valuable asset to the company

There are like 4 Slabs namely 1st 2nd 3rd and Non- Scholarship Slabs so if you write the entrance test and score well you'll fall under and scholarship category otherwise you can even apply through your mains percentile 1st slab is 1.75L excluding hostel fees 2nd slab is 2.75L excluding hostel fees 3rd slab is 3.75 excluding hostel fees

The campus life is decent its an open campus and youre allowed to go anywhere until 9 pm after 9 pm the hostel gates will be closed and you will not be given attendance and they will inform your parents that youre not present in the hostel The library is kinda small but the books and facilities are adequate enough all the classrooms are equipped with projectors and plug in ports to charge our laptops and devices The sports clubs are existent but they are not considered that serious as the main focus in our college is academics There are many clubs like Cyber security club gaming clubs and etc

A bed bucket jug and basic necessities are provided theres one hot water source per 2 floors and a water dispenser per 2 floors and the bathrooms are attached the hostels are okayish The mess food is good for malayali people as it is mostly of their tastes other region people will take some time to get adjusted to the food

I applied for VIT and MANIPAL even though i got into those colleges I chose Amrita because my parents thought that i needed more discipline and more credibilty and learn the skill to live independently and they took the suggestions of the existing seniors who suggested this college as it inclined more towards academics rather than sports events fests etc The admission process is quite easy you either apply through your AEEE score or JEE MAINS percentile whatever you think is better and submit it on the college platform

The faculty to student relationship is really good as they understand our problems and try to solve them Mr Dhaneesh is one of them as he really helped me during mathematics exam The faculty i highly dislike is CPS mam as she did not even provide fair internal marks The exams are moderate to difficult as the class averages are really low due to the difficulty level of the exams

The hostel gates will be closed by 9pm and you will not be allowed whatsoever unless you have a valid reason or a permission from the parents and all the shops around the college are closed and will not be open after 9pm
