Remarks

Except for the college infrastructure that is under construction at the moment, the college is amazing. The new building is relatively nicer and the staff is good. The teachers and the non teaching staff are always there to help the students.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

The course curriculum is common for all DU colleges therefore I can't blame my college solely for it. It is in term with the education needed to be parted but the distribution of papers can be more diverse. My course contains several papers on British Literature and only a few on American and Indian and almost none on other. The curriculum is one thing that I think can be bettered.

Internships Opportunities

It does circulate various internship programs and opportunities through the class groups and the colleges. The placement cell is a huge part of this. It often helps students to find proper internships. Although I haven't taken up one through the college.

Placement Experience

2.5

The college has a placement cell that contains of the students of the college itself as members, post holders and voulenteers. It also holds up a program annually when several companies bring placement and job opportunities for students to take help Of.

College Events

5

There is an annual fest held around February and it is basically called the fest season of DU. All the colleges host their annual festivals and invite students from other colleges. My college fest is called Aaghaz and during it, the different societies organise their own functions and events. There is one major star night where someone reputed is invited by the college.

Fee Structure And Facilities

It is really feasible. Being a government college, it allows even a student who does not belong to a financially strong family to study and not bear and feel the burden of education fees. It is comparatively very less than private colleges.

Fees and Financial Aid

I haven't availed any but I have seen my north eastern friends applying for scholarships. The college does help with with financial aids and loans for minorities and it proves to be a plus point of the college.

Campus Life

3

There is a huge playground by the canteen where the students from other colleges are also seen in competitions with ours. The basket ball and the cricket ground is never empty and the students have always been upfront and participating in various intercollege completions in DU.

Hostel Facilities

4

The college area in Nehru Nagar is surrounded by good pgs. There are various in defence Colony and By the metro station in Moolchand. The lajpat Nagar metro station, moolchand metro station and Vinobapuri metro station provide excellent metro facilities to the college students. They are at walking distance from the college.

Alumni/Alumna

Yes they are very helpful. The students are approachable and the teachers are really experienced and helpful. The senior students also help with the society and the social and cultural activities. It helps the students bond and lead the 3 years in college happily.

Exam Structure

For every semester, first the students take an internal of 25 marks that contains 10 marks for assignment, 10 for project and 5 for attendance. The other 75 is of theory paper and you are allowed to take the exam only if you qualify the attendance criteria. The marks of one semester is then added to the total and the cgpa is calculated.

Admission

I waited for my 12th ISC results and then according to my marks, could clear the criteria for this college. Then I went to the college on the date scheduled for admission with all the documents needed and got myself admitted. The staff and the voulnteer students were extremely nice and approachable. It was, honestly ,a good experience.

Faculty

4.5

The faculty of my college is amazing. It is also a matter of luck in Delhi University. It's not necessary for the 'good' colleges to have excellent teachers and the south and off campus colleges to have necessarily bad ones. The teachers vary in all the colleges and I'm lucky because the teachers in PGDAV morning college are really amazing.

The course curriculum is a bit too theoretical and less practical. The exams in the college takes places every month which are seasonals and are for internal marking and then we have semester exams in every 6 months which accounts for the external marking.

Placement Experience:

Placements are available in college, the drive is quite extensive, everyone is made aware of the choices and options and counselling is present too. It is from the third year, students are eligible to apply for placements. Companies and organisations take part such as Niti ayog, Times, Geostrata, Prajatantra foundation, etc. Those who desire usually work on their CVs, keep on doi internships and then get a placement. The packages are not that impressive to be honest.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is really very interesting. It keeps up with our expectations. Involves both practical and theoretical aspects to make sure that we are able to face the real world. Also, with the help of the guidance that we get from teachers we're able to ace both the aspects. The examinations also are based on applications, thus, helping us to enhance ourselves in all possibilities.

I got a seat in Ramjas College. It is a north-campus college. The infrastructure is too good compared to the remaining colleges. The teaching also going well but I faced some language problems. I'm from south India so I don't understand Hindi properly. But here mostly they teach in Hindi only and English is used very rarely.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course itself is prestigious and is mostly opted for by people who plan either on preparing for the Civil Services or those who want to pursue academia. The course structure is framed in a manner that you don't just simply study history there, but you ingrain a critical viewpoint of a young historian. The faculty of History Hons. has some of the best Professors in the University, although you will in any course at any college find some teachers below your expectations, you don't have to bear them for more than 1 or 2 semesters. Passing the exams is not very difficult, but yes scoring above average is. If you get a GPA ranging from 6 to 7, you've performed fine. Above that is considered a Very good performance in Hons. courses of Social sciences at Delhi University. there are semester exams every 5- 6 months
