Remarks

The college is amazing experience. This college will make you learn a lot of things and you will see yourself enough attached to the college by the end. There are several.positive things of the college like inftastructure, teaching quality and exam structure. There are not negativesbut some things that require improvement basically including discipline, parking area, cleanliness of area and teaching staff for some courses.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

My opinion is quite good since my course offers great teachers and excellent study. Not every course in the college has a good study pattern , specially B.A.(programme). The exam structure is also good. The internal exam starts for odd semesters by september and even semesters by february end. The external exams go with the following datesheet by delhi university, with proper guidelines and checking before exam.

Placement Experience

3

Being a part of placement cell, I would comment that the placement has been improved recently from the last year, even we were able to get some internships for first and second years. The job opportunities provided by the college is good the highest package given was 6.84 lakhs with good amount of selection for diffetent roles and from different courses. Yes, the college was abel to provide internship, I myself gave internshio interview and had a lot of participants, the offered stipend was 8000 per month.

College Events

3

Several events are celebrated in the college with immense joy and happiness. Starting from ncc camps and selections, then the sports day where the students are given achievement. Followed by the the north Indian fest, for all the north indian students with the north indian cell. Department fests are also common in the college, every department has it's own fest of 1 or 2 days. The college annual cultural fest Chetna Razmatazz is a greatt fest accomodated by the union and cultural team of the college with the support of teachers and the amazing college crowd.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure of the college for various courses is feasible, including economics hons, history hons, urdu hons, ba programme, bcom hons, bcom programme, geography hons hindi hons. The courses that have expensive fees includes BBE, social work and applied psychology hons.

Fees and Financial Aid

There is no scholarship or any kind of loan facility provided by the college. Every student has to pay their fees on time and delyaed fees requires charging as well. Nobody has ever availed any such services as well.

Campus Life

4.5

There are numerous cultural societies in the college to choose from- Dance society Rudra, Dramatics society Astitva, Music society Dhwani, Debate society, Fashion society rageand sports as well. Every society is equally active and has active participants as well. Thr sports of the college has participated in nationals as well, and is extremely succesful among different colleges of delhi university. There are a total of 5computer labs in the college, each of them with perfect guides and availability of work.

Hostel Facilities

2.5

There is no hostel facility provided by the college, there are several pg's and flats people take near the college. The metro station of Gokulpuri is near to the college including just crossing of the road through footover bridge.

Alumni/Alumna

The alumni network has started to gain good netowrk in recent times and is strongly active. All the senior students are helpful in terms of personal matters as well as college advices. The alumnae network is also helpful when it comes to gathering companies for placements and gathering sponsors for cultural and department fests

Admission

I got admission through the merit list, I also gave entrance test and got selected but was happy with my course. The admission process starts with first checking the cutoff list, and if you find your marks acceptable then you should come to the college. The first task is to find your window regarding the clurse, the volunteers on the entry will tell you the course window and dealing person. You are then supposed to go to the dealing window and take the form, fill the form carefully and submit it to the window dealer, with documents including provisional certificate, marksheet of 12th and character certificate. Then you will be srmt to room no 2 for checking of your marks, then to room no 5 for form submission and finally to princiapl's cabin for final check. It is a lengthy process!

Faculty

3.5

The faculty of the college is really appreciable. The staff is somewhat helpful and the teaching quality for some courses like economics hons., Bcom hons. Bcom programme, Bachelors of business economics(BBE), social work, Geography hons, history hons and hindi hons is very amazing and always in time in terms of submission of projects files or internals.

The course curriculum is a bit too theoretical and less practical. The exams in the college takes places every month which are seasonals and are for internal marking and then we have semester exams in every 6 months which accounts for the external marking.

Placement Experience:

Placements are available in college, the drive is quite extensive, everyone is made aware of the choices and options and counselling is present too. It is from the third year, students are eligible to apply for placements. Companies and organisations take part such as Niti ayog, Times, Geostrata, Prajatantra foundation, etc. Those who desire usually work on their CVs, keep on doi internships and then get a placement. The packages are not that impressive to be honest.

The course is really very interesting. It keeps up with our expectations. Involves both practical and theoretical aspects to make sure that we are able to face the real world. Also, with the help of the guidance that we get from teachers we're able to ace both the aspects. The examinations also are based on applications, thus, helping us to enhance ourselves in all possibilities.

I got a seat in Ramjas College. It is a north-campus college. The infrastructure is too good compared to the remaining colleges. The teaching also going well but I faced some language problems. I'm from south India so I don't understand Hindi properly. But here mostly they teach in Hindi only and English is used very rarely.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course itself is prestigious and is mostly opted for by people who plan either on preparing for the Civil Services or those who want to pursue academia. The course structure is framed in a manner that you don't just simply study history there, but you ingrain a critical viewpoint of a young historian. The faculty of History Hons. has some of the best Professors in the University, although you will in any course at any college find some teachers below your expectations, you don't have to bear them for more than 1 or 2 semesters. Passing the exams is not very difficult, but yes scoring above average is. If you get a GPA ranging from 6 to 7, you've performed fine. Above that is considered a Very good performance in Hons. courses of Social sciences at Delhi University. there are semester exams every 5- 6 months
