Course Curriculum Overview

4

Since it's 21 century and AI is going to take over many jobs so i considered taking computer science as my bachelor's course. There are subjects of skill enhancement too which prepares me for real world applications. The improvement in Cource curriculum should be that they should give us the right to choose which ever subject that the student want. The frequecy of exam is over 6 months.

Fees and Financial Aid

As a student of Delhi University School of open learning ( DU SOL), I have to pay yearly fees of around 11000 which increases every year. When i was first year the fees was 10,480 rupees but as of now I am second year it's 11,870 rupees. This fee covers everything ( lab classes, practicals, theory classes and online classes). These is a scheme for Financial Aid students which returns there fees if there annual income is less than 4 lakh and if there annual income is more than 4 lakh and less than 7 lakhs they will get about 50% of there fees.

Campus Life

3

Since I am a student of DU SOL, I only have to attend college on weekend so the campus life is fine and the social aspects is also good and there are competions and club which i participate like recently joined basketball club. The infrastructure provided is also fine. Well the annual festival are different every year and technical festival is based on your course. They typically help in september. There are around 5000 or more books in library. The facility and technology provided is very nice. Sports and extracurriculum activities are also fine and engaging. Yes, many students run social groups and club and studnet portal which helps student in there academic and social life.

Admission

I did choose DU SOL over other colleges that i applied because DU SOL provides felxibity. Student's only have to go to exam and practicals. In other colleges you have to attend 5 days every week. Well at first I wanted to go other college but Cuet exam doesn't provide B.tech colleges in delhi. Admission process of my college is simple. You just have to register your self for the course and if your name comes under merit then you have to pay the fee and your admission is done. I applied for Cluster Innovation Centre (CIC) college for Btech course. But due to less seats i didn't get and I also applied for Jamia milia islamia and i got a seat for Ba with computer application but the college was far from my home so i didn't go. Yes, I got rejected from CIC college because of less seats and less marks in cuet as compared to others. Admission process of my college: You just have to register yourself and pay fees and then you gets admission but some courses like mine BA with computer application is merit based and eligibility is only 12th class. There is no cutoff and overall admission experience was easy.

Faculty

4

Well faculty and students are not having any relationship because of less classes there are only around 10 or less classes are help every year. There are many courses both UG and PG. I like my computer lab facculty. No, There are no faculty that i don't like. There are 7 subjects and difficulty of exam are modrate and many students fail as they don't study.

Interview Experience

5

Yes, there were Group discussions, but no interviews or any written test for admission in my college DU SOL. The group discussion is more likely to be carrier discussion and it was not for admission purpose it was just carrier councelling.

Night Life

5

The night life around college is fine. My favorite hangout spot is cafeteria and there are many late night activities like indoor sports and Drama club practices. After a day of classes students refresh there mind by engaging themselves in gyms, cafeterias and in around campus. Some students live around campus in hostel as they live so far from home. Famous Hangout place inside my college is auditorium and cafeteria and outside is nearby agarwal and park near campus. Yes, locality is very safe around night and there are also guards around campus and outside campus.

Other Applied Colleges

Jamia Millia Islamia University-[JMI] | Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Computer Engineering)

At that time, My family was going through crisis.

Placement Experience:

Placements are available in college, the drive is quite extensive, everyone is made aware of the choices and options and counselling is present too. It is from the third year, students are eligible to apply for placements. Companies and organisations take part such as Niti ayog, Times, Geostrata, Prajatantra foundation, etc. Those who desire usually work on their CVs, keep on doi internships and then get a placement. The packages are not that impressive to be honest.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is really very interesting. It keeps up with our expectations. Involves both practical and theoretical aspects to make sure that we are able to face the real world. Also, with the help of the guidance that we get from teachers we're able to ace both the aspects. The examinations also are based on applications, thus, helping us to enhance ourselves in all possibilities.

I'm from south India so I don't understand Hindi properly. But here mostly they teach in Hindi only and English is used very rarely.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course itself is prestigious and is mostly opted for by people who plan either on preparing for the Civil Services or those who want to pursue academia. The course structure is framed in a manner that you don't just simply study history there, but you ingrain a critical viewpoint of a young historian. The faculty of History Hons. has some of the best Professors in the University, although you will in any course at any college find some teachers below your expectations, you don't have to bear them for more than 1 or 2 semesters. Passing the exams is not very difficult, but yes scoring above average is. If you get a GPA ranging from 6 to 7, you've performed fine. Above that is considered a Very good performance in Hons. courses of Social sciences at Delhi University. there are semester exams every 5- 6 months
