Great place to acquire knowledge of optimum quality

Our college in my opinion is one of the best institute for Technical education in North Eastern India. The extracurricular activities here help a student to grow as a confident person and the academics as a great technical professional, but a few problems are also there like lack of quality faculties in some departments .

It's quite elaborate both theory and the practical aspect is taken into consideration wisely. There are 8 semesters in total in B.tech, in each semester two exams one Mid term(50 marks) and one End term ( 100 marks ) exam is conducted but Lab exams are conducted in End term only.

Talking about placement I can assure that there's a greater part of the students who get campus placement, many reputed core companies , MNCs come to our college for recruitment like Oracle, Wipro, Tata, L&T to name a few.

There are plenty of events taking place throughout the year in our college like- the yearly technical fest called Aayam, the yearly cultural fest Moksha, the Inter NIT sports meets to name a few from the lot.

It's quite feasable as there's fee remission allowed based on family income of the student . The students of low income group have nothing to worry as the tuition fee lies between 3500 to 7500 only per semester and the hostel fee is also not much.

For a student of North Eastern India the best in my opinion is The Ishanuday Scholarship which provides a sum of 7800/month, for other state students many other Scholarship schemes are given through National Scholarship schemes.

The labs here are some of the best in the business except a few , our sports complex is truely a State of the art facility unmatched by any in North East for sure, the institute also has its Drama club, Robotics club , E-cell and notably a Student Activity Center for all such extracurricular activities.

The Alumni association organises an Alumni meet every year to keep contact with current students and faculties and it has helped in a great extent. The seniors are quite helpful in every aspect as it is a Ragging free campus so any student taking fresh admission can opt for any help and guidance from seniors.

Firstly I appeared for the JEE MAINS exam and after 12th board being a top 20 percentile student of my state board TBSE and acquiring the required JEE MAINS score , I enrolled in JoSAA 2016 and by councilling process I was selected for B.tech Civil Engineering (4year course)

Our faculty involve some of the best minds of Civil Engineering field but most of the teachers are from the Home State only , being honest there's a great need for more Professors in Civil Engineering Department at least as important classes are sometimes have to be taken by less capable faculties on contract.
