Remarks
I am very happy with my iit and it's system. We are free to do anything in college. There is no case of ragging. Seniors are very good, juniors are also talk respectfully. Negative part is attendence policy of any IIT.
Course Curriculum Overview
Exam is held in two phase, one is jee main and second is jee advanced. Curriculum is changing every year.paper of jee advance is not bound to be of any specific mark it can be of 400 or 250. Old iit's such as kanpur, madras, delhi, roorkee has to decide the paper pattern.
Placement Experience
I am currently passes my second year and doing project under professor. But some of my colleague went for internship this year and also some of my seniors went for internship abroad. I am receiving stipend 6000 for 30 days and doing internship from home.
College Events
Technunctus (tech fest of IIT JAMMMU), sport fest also have done, culture fest also. College and other sponsors gave fund to our event. Technunctus was very outreached fest of IIT Jammu in which many people, students outside from iit jammu came to our college.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Fee structure is same as other iit. 1 lakh tution fee, and 9000 extra for other facilities. For those who can't afford this tution fee( family income below 1 lakh), there is full tution fee relaxation and for those whose family income is bw 1-5 lakh they have to pay 1/3 of tution fee.
Fees and Financial Aid
For those whose family income is below 1lakh are providing full tution fee relaxation and for those whose family income is bw 1-.5 lakh are providing 2/3 tution fee relaxation per semester. And anyone can get loans from bank at easy interest. I am getting 1st one relaxation from college.
Campus Life
Labs are well equipped. We have modern, smart equipment also expensive. We have tennis ground, basketball ground, bolley ball ground. We are free to use labs at any time in presence of technician. We have gym.
Hostel Facilities
Yes, hostel are very good. Hostel are new and very high class facilities. We are providing washing machine, geejer, cantine and medical facilities.in one room there are 2 students. Almirah also their in room.
Alumni/Alumna
Seniors are very good, they helps us in academic, emotionally. As a new iit we don't have alumni right now. We eat together, sometime play together. I belong to the sae group of iit jammu which is the group for making car(buggie type) .
Admission
To get admission in any IIT, one has to pass jee main and jee advanced. I qualified jee main and jee advance. I got rank. By this rank, i applied for councilling. I got iit jammu. Any one can get iit but he/she has to study hard and consistently.
Faculty
Faculty is very helping in nature, highly qualified, forces to independent thinking. I am very happy with faculty of IIT JAMMU.in mechanical engineering, faculty told to students and start project on their own. In short, faculty giving theirs 100 percent.
