Course Curriculum Overview

4

All the different subjects and topics you learn are amazing and will definitely benefit you, it is one reason I came here. The curriculum mostly doesn't train you how it would be like in an actual outlet, yet the numerous events give you enough experience. The exams are every semester, with there being internal examinations in between from time to time.

Internships Opportunities

4

There are two internship periods in this course, one for 6 weeks after first year ends and one for 6 months in the 4th semester. The college will connect you with agencies, companies themselves, or you could find internships yourself, it's totally upto you.

Fees and Financial Aid

My college fees is 4.2L per year, and around 18L in total approximately. The hostel fees, including mess, is 2.5L per year. There are several different trips and opportunities by this college every year, some having seperate fees, but those are optional.

Campus Life

5

There is an annual fest, called firefly. This year atleast, there was also the Hospitality & Culinary Management 3rd Year dissertation event, Ignitia, as well as the Culinary Arts 3rd Year dissertation event, two pop up restaurants, Solano and Roohani. There were also events from time to time, hosting guests, events, etc. There has been a sports day, URJAS. There are many student run committee, like sports, cultural , etc.

Hostel Facilities

4

The rooms have three beds, three tables and chairs, a shelf over each table, three cupboards, a toilet, a sink and a shower room with three mugs and three buckets. There is an induction stove with pans kept, an electric kettle, a microwave, a water filter every floor, a fridge. The mess food and menu is good.

Admission

Aside from SSCA, there was only one other college I applied to, that being WGSHA, I got admission into both, WGSHA and SSCA. I had more knowledge about SSCA, and found it more beneficial to more and more well known, leading me to choose it.

Faculty

4

The faculty are incredibly approachable and are helpful as well. All of the faculty will help you in whatever way you need. There are 6 semester end exams(for 6 semesters). The exams are pretty difficult but the pass rate is quite high. The course curriculum could be made a bit more relevant but safe to say that it is good.

Interview Experience

4

There were two parts of the entrance. A quiz exam as well as a personal interview. The interview asked about you, problems of where you stay, questions related to the course, etc. The minimum percentage in 12th needed is 50%

Night Life

4

There is a gym, mess, library, football ground, basketball court, volleyball court, Tennis court. There is also a small grocery shop named Rangoli and a small food shop called coffee Stop. Rangoli sloses at 10pm, and coffee Stop closes at 1:30 am. The hostel intime at night is 10:30 pm normally and 11:30 pm on weekdays, any holidays. After the intime, coffee Stop makes hostel delivery.

Other Applied Colleges

Welcomgroup Graduate School of Hotel Administration - [WGSHA] | Bachelor of Science [B.Sc] (Culinary Science)

SSCA has been my dream college for a long time, and I find it more beneficial for my future

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose Biotechnology because it is a multidisciplinary field. We get to study not only topics related to biotechnology but also biochemistry, bio physics, bio informatics, bio statistics, etc. Mostly everything that is essential for future exams is taught during the span of 3 years. The topics of the units are taught in depth but the questions asked during exams are comparatively easy as to what all we studied. The frequency of the exam is, 1 internal exam which consists of both mcqs and written exam, the semester exam for each semester and practical exams for each subject. If u have studied then you will be able to attempt the questions.

Placement Experience:

My college gives campus placement placement opportunities typically after 4th semester, which is the 2nd half of the 2nd year. As my college has a partnership with IBM so the standards of campus placement go right up as the placement depends on the curriculum performance of the student so can't really say much for this. If saying as a stalemate, getting a placement is basically confirmed if the student maintains his/her CGPA of 6-7, which shows the consistent of the student in their field.
