Course Curriculum Overview

Course was good. As i chosen petroleum engineering, at that time it was on boom, new things to learn about oil and gas. Good salary package. But every course is good it depends on the students interest.

Class Size: 50Course Fees: INR 500000 per year

Internships Opportunities

I got opportunities to complete my internship program in Indian Oil corporation Bongaigaon. Also i did internship in Rasson Energy pvt ltd. The college helps me to get those opportunities also my faculty

Placement Experience

This college helps me to get a job in oil and gas company which is gujarat based. Company was Ratnam Energy pvt ltd. They provided me the job with the salary package of 4.2 lpa. Most of the students was placed at that time.

Fees and Financial Aid

One year wise fee was 74800 in 2015. Tuition fee per year was 64000 in 2015. I got Scholarship of 30000 during the admission on the basis of PCM percentage. The tution fees for my batchmates were also same.

Campus Life

My overall experience was good. I feel glad. Apart from the academics there were lots of activities was there. Technical and cultural fest was organised every year. Library is good peaceful to sit and study, to work on the project.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel facilities was good. Food was also hygenic. It was totally like our home. Bed and drawer available in the room. Registration process is easy. If anyone want to live in rented pg they will have to stay in roorkee main market.

Hostel Fee: INR 240000 per year

Admission

This college provide good environment, good academics, good infrastructure, good practical skills, and more over good faculty. Also fees was so reason, every poor family can afford it with good quality of education.

Faculty

The relationship of faculty and student were very good. They taught us properly, cleared our doubts whenever we asked. Abhinav Bhatnagar, he is the HOD of Mechanical Engineering. He is very good and supportive.

Night Life

It was also good. Till midnight you can walk around the campus without any fear. It is very safe for girls also. Gym was also there, cafeteria is so neat and clean. There were two seperate cafeteria for both veg and non veggies

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course because of its affordability and the teaching quality of this college is good . They helps in choosing the real life application based projects . Teaching methods are impressive but they don't provide notes . We have make notes by attending class regularly. Frequency and timings of exams are of 3 hrs. For each subject . Difficulty level is moderate and students can prepare it well in the gap days also .

IIT Roorkee is the best one can get on overall basis.

Placement Experience:

Campus placement starts in Semester 7 and 8 for can say, in the last of graduation. HUL,TCS, Microsoft,JP Morgan and many huge companies visit campus for placements. Highest pakage in placement goes around 1.5 crore annually to lowest pakage around 8 LPA. Companies mainly comes for SDE role. But apart that few comes for PM, Data Science, Consulting profiles as well.

From the 7th semester you can sit on the placement drives.. Multiple companies visited like accenture,adobe,tcs etc. The percentage is little bit low this year..i have not much knowledge about it right now. I will try to get a good job.

aspects of curricullum that influenced my desicion to take admission: technical based courses are available. a well defined infrastructure. seperate buildings to involve in different regions of technology. available technical courses with updated and advanced syllabus with great faculty and seminars of different active clubs like google and microoft club. Responsive faculty and well managed curriculum to focus on specific areas of each students to make them better in the region of technolgy where they want to grow. mid level toughness with regular tests and end sem combining the internal and external practical exams.

I always loved coding and learning about new technologies. Also, jobs in CS/IT department are paid high. The faculty and student ratio is on the medium side. Faculties are highly qualified from IIT and top private colleges. They are very helpful and have a great pedagogy.

Best college of uttrakhand

Remarks:

A very good college. There is no spoon feeding scene like that of private institute. As good ranking students are there you can have a good academic competition which will nurture your ability and groom to you be a better engineer.

My College, my review !!

I decided to take admission in Noida Delhi side. As they're known for colleges. I did apply to some colleges too. Got calls from there also. I filled out the registration form. But then I got to know about haridwar university. It's in uttarakhand. So I feel that this is better that city side. Coz I like to be in nature and this place is accordingly. There is no such examination for admission. They take admission on the basis of 12th marks. You should ve 60% or above for the admission....Read More
