Dislikes
- The science block in which we as first years had our classroom was really disappointing
- There're frequent power cuts in the campus with no generator facility,.. and we say its a National Institute
- Some faculties have a bad attitude, so students feel scared to reach out to them for help
Course Curriculum Overview
Electronics and Communication Engineering is flourishing day by day as semiconductor and chips company are growing more . We get to hear Computer science students or software engineers work Will be replaced by AI in coming future...so thinking about all these things I choose ECE in NITA.
Internships Opportunities
Internships are provided to some sort of students in aome IITs and IISTs and also in various companies like, IIT MADRAS , IIT KHARAGPUR, IIT DELHI, IIST BANGLORE, TATA, ONGC , etc..but for these referral from professors play a great role increasing the chances of internships and placements.
Placement Experience
From 3rd semester onwards we're eligible for placements. The companies visit here are Microsoft, Amazon, Phone pe, Paypal , physics wallah, Cloudera. Highest package was 56lpa and average was 18lpa. My plans are either getting to a company or giving GATE exam and securing a good IIT for Mtech
Fees and Financial Aid
This year I paid 6525 as tution fee..being an SC candidate. My batchmates from general category paid 70000. On my first year I too paid around 40000. But now its reducing with time.There are various scholarships available for SC ST and general depending on their family income.
Campus Life
We have cultural as well as tech fests like Moksha , Aayam. Moksha is held on april and Aayam on September. We have a grand Central library and there are more than enough books for students studying in various branch. There're various clubs like FINE ARTS CLUB, DEZIRE, MALHAR, AAVEG, ANIMA, etc....for art dance music , drama ...and even tech clubs too like DCC and GDSC, NLC , etc
Hostel Facilities
Hostels provide a cot and a wardrobe nothing else. The rooms are really in Very bad condition for 2nd 3rd and 4rth years. Meal quality is 2/5 in girl's hostel . Even the bare minimum is difficult to find. Hostek fees are around 25000 per semester
Admission
I got lower branches like fhemical and production in NIT Silchar. But I choose ece in NITA because...I live in Tripura and being a homestate student i can travel back to home on every weekend and the placements and internship opportunities are quite good here also the fees are affordable so my choice was perfect...I gave JEE exam for getting to NIT .and my percentile was 82.97
Faculty
Some faculties are easily approachable while others are not. Like there's so many facilities in ECE department or any other dept who are willing to help students for projects internship placements ..but at the sam etime some faculties are not reachable for this purpose. There're teo exams in a session mid term and end term . Midterm is of 20 marks and end term of 50 marks while rest is internal marking
Night Life
Boys a. Gym in sports complex while girls have a gym in hostel which have minimal number of equipments. There're many cafeterias and restaurants in campus. Boys hostel timings i don't know...girls a have intime of 7.30 in summers and 7 in winters. We have shopping complex to hangout. And its totally safe in campus at night.
