Course Curriculum Overview

4

Basically my course is BA programme with Computer Applications as major and Economics as minor subject The curriculum is well balanced. The curriculum includes learning of Python, C++, Front end Web design and development, Data Mining, Machine Learning, Deep learning, Cyber forensics, Compiler Design, Algorithms, Macroeconomics and Microeconomics and more such good subjects.

Internships Opportunities

3

The placement cell organizes an internship fair every year for example in February 2024 award 43 companies participated. Top companies involved include urban company AE.CC global next IAS NGOs like pahchan the treat School visalakshi foundation. The cell works with divers feels like finance marketing HR content creating NGOs extras

Fees and Financial Aid

The yearly fee for my course is 12,780. All students, whether from General, SC, ST, OBC or Management category, are required to pay the same amount at the time of admission. However, the college provides a fee concession facility every year. For this, students need to submit a concession form along with documents like income certificate, caste certificate (if applicable) and mark sheets. After verification, approx 80% of the paid fee is refunded to the student.

Campus Life

4

Campus life at Dyal Singh Evening College is lively and friendly. Students join cultural clubs, NSS, and societies that organize events and the annual fest Rajnigandha. The campus has an amphitheatre, auditorium, library, computer labs, sports ground, and cafeteria, which support both studies and social life. While classrooms and washrooms in older blocks need some improvement and there is no hostel, overall the infrastructure and social environment give students good opportunities to learn and engage. Computer department has its own annual fest known as Byte battle like every other department.

Admission

The admission is taken from Cuet Ug, Eligibility is that you should have Maths in 12 class, I didn't applied to any other college and just selected Dyal singh evening college as priority and got selected in 1st round of CSAS.

Faculty

5

Faculty-to-student ratio is good, relationship between students and faculty is very good except some of the faculties. Most favourite teachers from computer department.(All teachers) From Economics department Promila Dharam Mam, Pankaj Jha Sir, Dorothy Mam. Some of the admin's behaviour towards Students is very bad .

Night Life

2

Dayal Singh College doesn't really have nightlife since it's not a residential or 24 hour campus. Library, cafeteria and public areas close with college timings and there are no hostel. Student usually hangout at the cafeteria aur main sports ground. For outing nearby places like Lodhi garden Khan Market and Connaught place are popular

The course curriculum is a bit too theoretical and less practical. The exams in the college takes places every month which are seasonals and are for internal marking and then we have semester exams in every 6 months which accounts for the external marking.

Placement Experience:

Placements are available in college, the drive is quite extensive, everyone is made aware of the choices and options and counselling is present too. It is from the third year, students are eligible to apply for placements. Companies and organisations take part such as Niti ayog, Times, Geostrata, Prajatantra foundation, etc. Those who desire usually work on their CVs, keep on doi internships and then get a placement. The packages are not that impressive to be honest.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is really very interesting. It keeps up with our expectations. Involves both practical and theoretical aspects to make sure that we are able to face the real world. Also, with the help of the guidance that we get from teachers we're able to ace both the aspects. The examinations also are based on applications, thus, helping us to enhance ourselves in all possibilities.

I got a seat in Ramjas College. It is a north-campus college. The infrastructure is too good compared to the remaining colleges. The teaching also going well but I faced some language problems. I'm from south India so I don't understand Hindi properly. But here mostly they teach in Hindi only and English is used very rarely.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course itself is prestigious and is mostly opted for by people who plan either on preparing for the Civil Services or those who want to pursue academia. The course structure is framed in a manner that you don't just simply study history there, but you ingrain a critical viewpoint of a young historian. The faculty of History Hons. has some of the best Professors in the University, although you will in any course at any college find some teachers below your expectations, you don't have to bear them for more than 1 or 2 semesters. Passing the exams is not very difficult, but yes scoring above average is. If you get a GPA ranging from 6 to 7, you've performed fine. Above that is considered a Very good performance in Hons. courses of Social sciences at Delhi University. there are semester exams every 5- 6 months
