Course Curriculum Overview
Politics was running through my head as I am from Bihar and therefore I wanted to have the deepest knowledge of it. Our course contains various history and how basically politics was played in ancient times to how it has changed over the years. Modern day traits to how ancient politics was, everything is well within the guidelines and our course teaches us all.
Internships Opportunities
Not any extravagant intenrships but college provides us Internships in core things which we are studying. So we have to be involved with politics pundits or researcher roles and similar intenrships like that are provided. So that we get much needed experience that we need.
Placement Experience
Dyal Singh Placements aren't that hefty that I can boast a lot about them. Since I have already mentioned in previous section that I want the deepest knowledge of political science and the only way, one can gain that is by doing masters. Coming to DSC placements over 30% students of Political Science from our college are placed via campus.
Fees and Financial Aid
I took admission in BA Political Science (Hons) this year and the fees i paid was 12500. The original fees that college charges is high but since I got 25% Scholarship as I took admission under OBC Quota. Students who took admission under SC/ST quota is even higher. Merit scholarships are also there and they are also around 25% concession in the fees if one falls in the required criteria.
Campus Life
Infrastructure of Dyal Singh College may be median but our college isn't. The reason behind that is the students of Dyal Singh College. All are amazing and are seen getting involved with society activities rather than just doing classes and then go back home. It's our students community which organizes our unique annual cultural fest Priyadarshini. Also, in that fest each society get a chance to what they have in them.
Admission
For admission in Delhi University there's just one way and that is CUET. Cut-off differs for students with certain quotas. The score required for admission here at DSC was 710 but for OBC it was 606 and so through that quota I easily secured the admission here. Most preferred course in DU is definitely Economics Hons but my choice was always political science.
Faculty
Dyal Singh College faculties are cliff hangers aa they are rated highly and that's because for our subjects looks like they have hired the real political pundits. One of the best when it comes to teaching us and also renowned for the technique that they use. Gives us examples of back dates and political history how it has shaped over the years, they have learned it byheart.
Night Life
If I have to name one top place it would definitely be Lodhi Gardens. Now since the South Extension is what our college location is, it is the place where students or people from Delhi want to roam around in evening. So many hangout spots and mostly after classes are over our college students are seen roaming in the cafes nearby.
