Course Curriculum Overview

5

The course that I'm doing is very relevant it teaches me about every marketing term that is still applicable the teaching methods adopted for core papers is purely through marketing case studies of new age brands however for SEC VAC GE the other lower credit papers the faculty is bad as well as they don't give context before teaching and assume that their students also have the same background like humanities etc my course for my core papers is veryy good

Internships Opportunities

1

Internships offered in the college through college are unpaid strictly due to IAPC regulations The companies we are offered are nikore associates, etc however the placement cell sends opportunities like newx , tata 1 mg , dalberg advisors , aiqra etc the stipend is disclosed by company itself the companies that comes for placements are EY , Genpact , blue wine , Deloitte, accenture , pwc blue tea etc I didn't opt for the internship as i had already gotten an internship offer outside of college for 8k

Fees and Financial Aid

So the yearly fees is from 21000-26,000 per annum , it has increased by 9,000 from the last year because we paid only 16,000 last year and in general the fees for DU has increased , the fees of my batchmates are the same . There are scholarships however I'm not aware about them they are most only for BPL students and JMC also doesn't have any reservations except J&K students and Christian students

Campus Life

5

I'm a a part of enactus , 180 degrees consulting, mercatus the marketing society and I'm the general secretary of the entrepreneurship cell of jmc these societies are the only reason delhi university is hyped as this is what builds experience , network and exposure of the students. The most exquisite thing is that there are sooo many societies for so many domains we have finance cells , we have consulting cells , ECELL is one of the most active societies that brings JMC s startups to a stage . The sports department is amazing the cricket team of JMC is well known across du , the library is well accessible we have a 2 floor library air conditioned all the books ar available there recently we have gotten smart boards but very recently the campus the college offers a great deal to students also it's a girls college

Admission

I chose du over Mumbai University for which I got into NMIMS Mithibai etc , because I feel du has a very rich university culture I get exposure and network exposure to students of SRCC LSR SSCBS etc because of societies we can conduct networking mixers we work on corporate projects all this we arent able to in Mumbai University because they have a lot of inter college restrictions except for in their cultural societies where they're allowed to do anything. Admission process is very elaborate and tends to get late due to alliance with NTA Cuet is conducted around may after boards students have to fill in their subjects prerequisites to filling subjects is them having the same subjects in 11th 12th then after the exam is conducted they fill in their preference sheets that has options for courses and colleges they can fill any amount of preferences but it's recommended to fill the top quality ones college does matter a lot , there are no other exams that can be given except for cute however there are online courses provided by kmc and hansraj so that can do done and their eligibility is also different. I didn't rejection from any college

Faculty

5

So my course is a multidisciplinary course so I have different core papers every semester core papers that I have are like principles of marketing , business organisation, business laws , brand management, financial accounting , advertising etc we have end semester exams we don't have mid semester exams we have internal assessments for 40 marks and continuous assessments which also includes attendance total marks 10 the best faculty we had were reshma ma'am saloni ma'am monica chhabra ma'am student faculty relationship is very healthy in jmc

Night Life

2

So our campus is made around embassy area so there is no night life people are allowed in the college till maximum 5 pm and if there's an event that needs decorations then till 7 pm we don't have a hostel in our college the gym is available for 1000 rupees for a year membership for JMC students the cafeteria is very good it's not spacious but the food is great the library is veryy well made the public area we have common rooms we have amphitheatre where students usually eat and chat Famous hangout places would definitely be the tapri near our college , TMT in front of taj and Satya niketan cafes and recently the dohful that's opened but inside the college we have the amphi mother dairy thevenet hall stairs etc

The course curriculum is a bit too theoretical and less practical. The exams in the college takes places every month which are seasonals and are for internal marking and then we have semester exams in every 6 months which accounts for the external marking.

Placement Experience:

Placements are available in college, the drive is quite extensive, everyone is made aware of the choices and options and counselling is present too. It is from the third year, students are eligible to apply for placements. Companies and organisations take part such as Niti ayog, Times, Geostrata, Prajatantra foundation, etc. Those who desire usually work on their CVs, keep on doi internships and then get a placement. The packages are not that impressive to be honest.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is really very interesting. It keeps up with our expectations. Involves both practical and theoretical aspects to make sure that we are able to face the real world. Also, with the help of the guidance that we get from teachers we're able to ace both the aspects. The examinations also are based on applications, thus, helping us to enhance ourselves in all possibilities.

I got a seat in Ramjas College. It is a north-campus college. The infrastructure is too good compared to the remaining colleges. The teaching also going well but I faced some language problems. I'm from south India so I don't understand Hindi properly. But here mostly they teach in Hindi only and English is used very rarely.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course itself is prestigious and is mostly opted for by people who plan either on preparing for the Civil Services or those who want to pursue academia. The course structure is framed in a manner that you don't just simply study history there, but you ingrain a critical viewpoint of a young historian. The faculty of History Hons. has some of the best Professors in the University, although you will in any course at any college find some teachers below your expectations, you don't have to bear them for more than 1 or 2 semesters. Passing the exams is not very difficult, but yes scoring above average is. If you get a GPA ranging from 6 to 7, you've performed fine. Above that is considered a Very good performance in Hons. courses of Social sciences at Delhi University. there are semester exams every 5- 6 months
