The campus itself is a whole different experience. There is serenity in every landscape. The campus actually complements the extracurricular activities. Specially photo graphy and video graphy. The weather is also awesome.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course structure is very cleverly designed and has been improving over the year as per the requirement. Every part complements of the rest of it. And for many years the curriculum has been reviewed if any changes is required what so ever.
Placement Experience
The placement statistics are impeccable in IIT. A lot of companies come to hire the smartest minds in the country with excellent packages. The college also provides research internships under the professor. And the stipend amount is also great.
College Events
There are plenty of events that take place in college as well as hostels throughout the year. We have one technical fest Techniche, one cultural fest Alcheringa, one talk show named TEDx IITGuwahati. We also have several small cultural events.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure is almost same as all the other Private colleges. Its around 1 lakh 20 thousands per semester. But fee wavier is provided to economically weaker people but income proof is required for that.
Fees and Financial Aid
The college being India's one of the most prestigious college attracts investors across the whole indian subcontinent. Loans, scholarships, waviers everything is available to the students. From Private to government scholarships.
Campus Life
The extracurricular activities are excellent here at IIT guwahati. There is literally a club for every damn thing. From sports (badminton, chess, cricket, football, hockey, volley ball, squash)to cultural clubs (dance, music, photo graphy, videography, drama)
Hostel Facilities
The infrastructure of the hostels are top class. All the rooms are single allotted.the corridors are open and airy. Each hostel is equipped with minimum one stationery shop, one juice centre, one mess and one canteen.
Alumni/Alumna
The Alumni network here is very strong. Then is a proper club which manages different alumni interacting sessions and it helps the current student grow their network. Even the Alumni helps in the better placement records.
Admission
IITs only take admissions in Btech programmes through IIT JEE Advanced. One of the India's toughest exams with selection rate below 1%. Over 12 lakh students attempts to take admissions in the IITs but only few get selected.
Faculty
The faculty always receives mixed reviews. There some super faculties in the Indian institute of technology. Whereas there are some faculties which are gaining some experience in teaching. But over all their knowledge about the subject is not questionable.
