Remarks

Student-Teacher relationship is not honest or friendly in nature. Few faculty members are truly helpful while others are not. Faculty members lack the efforts to discuss education barriers with the students. The students enter the college with hope and with 1st year they are dissapointed and their expectations changes.

Course Curriculum Overview

3

Exam structure is semester based and of 4yrs. The course includes non departmental subjects at the 1st year. I don't find any necessity of it. Mechanical Engineers are forced to learn programming and Computer Science students are forced to learn how to cut a piece of wood according to some random diagram.

Placement Experience

3.5

Placements and Job opportunities are well. Our college really try hard to maintain that most of the students get job from the college campus. The students are satisfied with this. Companies like Wipro, Infosys come every year.

College Events

4

Interdepartmental Football Tournament, Intracollege Football Tournament, Annual Sports event, Cultural Fest, International conventions, Interdepartmental Basketball tournament, Interdepartmental Vollyball tournament etc.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Expensive for the middle class students. The hostel fee, college fee and the daily life comodities. To some it may seem feasible but not to everyone. Some of my friends take educational loan to help themselves with fees.

Fees and Financial Aid

There is a scholarship called OASIS provided by the WB Govt and the college was really helpful to provide it. The office section maintains it and they are really helpful with it. The scholarship is annual. You can apply for only one scholarship a year.

Campus Life

3.5

They are really great. Cultural events are held every year and it inculdes music, dance, act, fashion show, games like paintball shoot, arrow shoot and much more. Labs are maintained very well. Interdepartmental Football tournament is held every year.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

Not much good. Just enough for living. Washroom conditions are not that good. Lack of maintainance mostly. Every hostel has a playing ground which is really nice. No WiFi facilities to help us out with daily studies.

Alumni/Alumna

They are indeed helpful. They are always in contact with out faculties and department also. Though the network is not that strong, but our CSE department connect with them every year with our departmental magazine.

Admission

The admission process starts from a Ecouncilling after the WBJEE results are out. Based on your best choice and availablity you are requested to take admission in the best college available from your choice. Once the slot is booked in reporting location after Ecouncilling you are requested to visit the college and apply for admission.

Faculty

3

There is a barrier between students and the faculty of the college. This barrier prevents the mutual understanding and obidience to take place. Though there are some exceptions but mostly student meets dead end to their aspirations due to the lack of support from the faculty of the college.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course because I saw the potential in the course for a better and precise future since hospital management is overall management and administration is a part of management. The college provided us 2 internships which really helps us to gain exposure in practical life.

Placement Experience:

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

1. Students generally get eligible for campus placements from the 3rd semester of the M.Sc. course. 2. Deperments like Biotechnology,Botany,Zoology have placement support. 3. Companies coming to campus like TCS,Wipro,Deloitte,Biocon,Pfizer. 4. Deperments with strong placement cells secure 10-15 offers per company, depending on batch size. 5. 8-10LPA Highest package offered by Leading companies and 4-5LPA Average package offered by companies. 6. 60-80% of students getting placements. i am interested in Ph.D. programs for research positions.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.
