GEU is marvelous!

Fair ratio and tough academics and plus learning something which will help build the future is what excited me to take upon this challenge. We have 30 and 70 ratio in every semester where the former is internal and the latter is end semester. Exams for engineering happens in December and May every year and have a decent break in between.

Nearly 20 plus companies and that too from IT centers like Gurgaon, Hyderabad and Pune have offered intenrships to us. Stipend depends upon the interview as we have to go through interview for the same. Only GEU provides such opportunities to its students.

McKinsey, Johnson & Johnson, Deloitte, Oracle and many others as there were indeed 20 odd companies this year which took CAE students and before the university could invite more companies, most students were already placed.

GEU is a bright spot for students who wants to pursue CSE. Our fees is 500 grands a year and yes it's high and not affordable for all. So, for those who can afford can expect a better ROI in it. Our university has nearly 20 scholarships but I availed the Army one as my dad is in the army and therefore i got 20% discount for that.

For tech department it's a bit difficult as a new building small campus right next to the main campus is built. So from classes to labs maximum things have been relocated there. Library though is in the main campus and even all the fests and activities happens in the main campus ground as our campus only has one open auditorium to host events.

I applied at only and only GEU as I was watching it closely since I was in 11th. The placements were good and admission criteria was the easiest. Thus, I didn't faced any rejection as I came with my parents after my 12th results were out and took admission here the same day I applied.

In our university faculties are an army of young people as most of our faculties are just graduated but have taken upon the toughest challenge of teaching. It has been a while since I have had differences with them because they know the ways to put us on the same page always. I will not name one as that will be some form of discrimination.

For hangout I don't mind going out of Dehradun as three four biggest tourist places of Uttarakhand such as Mussorie is 30 kms, Rishikesh again 30 odd and at 50 kms we have Haridwar. So, since we have these many hangout places why go elsewhere.
