Course Curriculum Overview

4

Approach towards course structure is appreciable. Being a social science doesn't only means history and stuff but rather an inter- disciplinary approach towards all subject and this is what this course teaches us. For the real world preparation, we are taught with real world examples and given field level assignments. Adding more of real life ventures can be really beneficial. Exams timing are same as others, at the end of semester.

Internships Opportunities

4

There's not much of an internship programs here but there are some good ones like tcs and stuff. Stipend is mostly hidden until you apply so its only for those who apply and it can only be accessed after first semester

Fees and Financial Aid

For General Category, it keeps changing every year like around an increment of 1-2%, for Reserved Categories like SC,ST it's around 7000. There is also an option of fees waiver depending on your household income.

Campus Life

4

Campus life here is same as others colleges, many fests and events all over the year. Classrooms are advanced and got smart boards and stuff for ppt presentations. There are many societies and clubs in this college both in fields of sports and arts. NSS is very active here

Admission

I applied to Delhi University but due to my hastiness, i missed my seat there as i didn't got any college in first round and thought thats it for me so i applied here and paid fees too but after second round i got choice there too. Admission process is simple, you can enroll through both cuet and board marks and theres no cutoff, almost anyone can get accepted, which is a major con of this university

Faculty

4

Faculty overall is helping in many ways. The student faculty ratio can be said to be around 1:40. Also very helpful towards everyone. Exams aren't too difficult either, faculty helps us beforehand to tackle with them. Some students fail like around 2-3 but only because of their own faults like not submitting assignments and being stingy all over the course. Attendence isnt much of nuisance here either

Night Life

3

There are many restaurants and stuff near college. Its near punjabi bagh and moti nagar which makes it easier to travel both central and north part of Delhi. There's a girl hostel in college but nothing for boys. Some favourite hangout places can be mc donalds and a mall in moti nagar near college

The course curriculum is a bit too theoretical and less practical. The exams in the college takes places every month which are seasonals and are for internal marking and then we have semester exams in every 6 months which accounts for the external marking.

Placement Experience:

Placements are available in college, the drive is quite extensive, everyone is made aware of the choices and options and counselling is present too. It is from the third year, students are eligible to apply for placements. Companies and organisations take part such as Niti ayog, Times, Geostrata, Prajatantra foundation, etc. Those who desire usually work on their CVs, keep on doi internships and then get a placement. The packages are not that impressive to be honest.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is really very interesting. It keeps up with our expectations. Involves both practical and theoretical aspects to make sure that we are able to face the real world. Also, with the help of the guidance that we get from teachers we're able to ace both the aspects. The examinations also are based on applications, thus, helping us to enhance ourselves in all possibilities.

I got a seat in Ramjas College. It is a north-campus college. The infrastructure is too good compared to the remaining colleges. The teaching also going well but I faced some language problems. I'm from south India so I don't understand Hindi properly. But here mostly they teach in Hindi only and English is used very rarely.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course itself is prestigious and is mostly opted for by people who plan either on preparing for the Civil Services or those who want to pursue academia. The course structure is framed in a manner that you don't just simply study history there, but you ingrain a critical viewpoint of a young historian. The faculty of History Hons. has some of the best Professors in the University, although you will in any course at any college find some teachers below your expectations, you don't have to bear them for more than 1 or 2 semesters. Passing the exams is not very difficult, but yes scoring above average is. If you get a GPA ranging from 6 to 7, you've performed fine. Above that is considered a Very good performance in Hons. courses of Social sciences at Delhi University. there are semester exams every 5- 6 months
