Course Curriculum Overview

3

When I was choosing this course in preference list I found it interesting to study the society, it's main aspect and concepts included in it . I read about Marx , max etc and found some interest in it . The curriculum does tell concept relevant information society but I feel like there is a lot of need to research in Indian societal concept and their work and interaction. Teaching method can be interesting, interactive rather than being boring concept reading in class

Fees and Financial Aid

In first year the fees was approx 20k. In second year it is 22k . The entire 3 year course is approximately 66k . Registration fees is around 1200 rs. The fees for pwd category and sc/st etc are different and much lower . The fees with each year increases.

Campus Life

4

Fest are the most fun and interesting part in my college. Love the fest season the most . Library is in decent condition one can go and read books . Books availability is okay . Sports activities happen often but infrastructure and items availability is a matter of concern. Overall college is good

Admission

I applied for North campus colleges such as Hindi , kirorimal and for pol science course . My marks were little low and I belong to general category so could not secure spots in them . After few colleges my preference was vanky and I got it . After addmission semester started and verification of documents happened after few days . Through CUET you can get addmission in du colleges

Faculty

4

Most of the Faculty of my department are supportive , good and interactive. Their teaching method is fine and they are approachable in times . In each semester we have to give exams for external marking and internal marking is done on the basis of class test ,research work , presentation, assignment, project work , continuous assessment in class participation etc. Exams are easy , 2 or 3 students in class get back in semester. The course curriculum is relevant but I feel like there are much more relevant topics that could be added .

Interview Experience

4

To take admission in college you have to give a written test known as CUET . Du have different seats for different courses and categories of students, admission happen based on your marks . After admission document verification is done and then your admission process is completed.

Night Life

3

I am a day scholar so I don't know much about night life and hostel etc . There are few spots which are good and booked everytime I go to sit there . Near college there is satya niketan good place for cafes and walk .

The course curriculum is a bit too theoretical and less practical. The exams in the college takes places every month which are seasonals and are for internal marking and then we have semester exams in every 6 months which accounts for the external marking.

Placement Experience:

Placements are available in college, the drive is quite extensive, everyone is made aware of the choices and options and counselling is present too. It is from the third year, students are eligible to apply for placements. Companies and organisations take part such as Niti ayog, Times, Geostrata, Prajatantra foundation, etc. Those who desire usually work on their CVs, keep on doi internships and then get a placement. The packages are not that impressive to be honest.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is really very interesting. It keeps up with our expectations. Involves both practical and theoretical aspects to make sure that we are able to face the real world. Also, with the help of the guidance that we get from teachers we're able to ace both the aspects. The examinations also are based on applications, thus, helping us to enhance ourselves in all possibilities.

I got a seat in Ramjas College. It is a north-campus college. The infrastructure is too good compared to the remaining colleges. The teaching also going well but I faced some language problems. I'm from south India so I don't understand Hindi properly. But here mostly they teach in Hindi only and English is used very rarely.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course itself is prestigious and is mostly opted for by people who plan either on preparing for the Civil Services or those who want to pursue academia. The course structure is framed in a manner that you don't just simply study history there, but you ingrain a critical viewpoint of a young historian. The faculty of History Hons. has some of the best Professors in the University, although you will in any course at any college find some teachers below your expectations, you don't have to bear them for more than 1 or 2 semesters. Passing the exams is not very difficult, but yes scoring above average is. If you get a GPA ranging from 6 to 7, you've performed fine. Above that is considered a Very good performance in Hons. courses of Social sciences at Delhi University. there are semester exams every 5- 6 months
