Likes
- The campus life is good as compared to other colleges, i mean there can be seen regular fests and activities going around in college regularly.
- The cleanliness of the college is amazing, the toilets are clean and well sanitized, the water here is clean there are proper dustbins installed all over the college.
- The location of my college is also pretty good, it's right in front of both thr metro and bus station and you can also find all thr necessary shops nearby.
Dislikes
- The non teaching staff here is toxic and rude
- The wifi here needs to be improved, it never works.
- Our college doesn't have a full fledged auditorium, it's still under construction atleast that's what I think.
Course Curriculum Overview
One of the few reasons why i chose this course was the subject combination, my subject combination is economics+ statistics which i can hardly find in any other colleges. In the curriculum there are various case studies that helps us understand the application of the concept in real life. Sometimes i think the teachers rush the course that doesn't clear the concepts so that's where the improvement is needed.
Fees and Financial Aid
My total fee for this year was 22,000 rupees which makes each semester of 11,000 rupees this is the fees i paid as an ews student. The college provides various scholarship opportunities for female students, students with only one parent, students from ews category and many more. I don't know much about the amount offered in these scholarships as i didn't apply for one.
Campus Life
I am in 3 societies and they all have an annual event which is conducted around jan-feb. Enactus has aghaaz, economics association has bliss point and placement cell has ifair also there is one very popular event named Nexus conducted by FAA. There are plenty of books available in the library and they are easily accessible. Every class in college has a projector no matter small or big every class has it. There are few irrational sports infrastructure in college like we have 3-4 tennis court but no one uses it.
Admission
This college was allotted to me the very first round and didn't upgrade till end, tho i love this college but i wanted to study commerce. I could have easily gotten a decent college for commerce course but i made mistakes making my preference list. I also applied for GGSIPU but I didn't fill it's prefence list as i knew I wouldn't go there even if i am selected because of its distance from my house also the affordability
Faculty
The faculty to students ratio is more than needed, i mean there are 2-3 teachers teaching one subject for few courses which sometimes creates difficulties for us students. The course structure is okayish but there isn't much study material provided by teachers. The marking is actually good we the students get to choose how we wish to perform the activities for internal assessment. We can either choose to submit assignments, attempt class test or do a group presentation. The exam system is also good the first few tests are very easy to boost students confidence and then the difficulty level gradually increases.
Night Life
I don't live in hostel so i don't really get to enjoy nightlife in or around the college tho i have heard from my freinds that it is a active area. You can find many clubs, gaming cafe, cafe, restaurant and many other things nearby.
