My College

The college is very good and has the potential to become one of the best institution in West Bengal. The current principal is required to do a lot more as it was done by the previous principal. Overall the education quality and learning environment is quite good and I must say I had the best time of my life during the college days.

Well currently they are following CBCS pattern i.e choice based credit system. During our time we used to have Part examination system i.e one final examination every year. CBCS course structure is good but the syllabus is not properly organised so instead of a boon it is much more a disguise. Overall the course is good but certain modifications are required on the existing system.

Our college has a placement cell where a student has to register separately. The cell is good, provides good placement opportunities to the students. Weekly classes are conducted for the third year students along with regular exams and personality development classes are conducted as well.

Independence day, annual sports day, blood donation camp, alumni meet, interdependent tournaments, freshers, cultural fest, teacher's day celebration, Republic day, NCC, various indoor co curricular activities and many more.

Very feasible for students belonging from various socioeconomic backgrounds. Since this one is a government sponsored College monthly fees are very less. Also there are various financial assistance schemes offered to the underprivileged section of the society.

Well, presently there are no loan schemes offered by the college but there are various financial assistance schemes offered by the college to help the poor students. Also college offers various assistance to girl students as per the instructions of government.

Our college organises annual sports day every apart from that all types of tournaments occurs both indoor and outdoor. Inter department tournaments are also very regular. The college has all types of sports facilities. All the laboratories in the science block are very well equipped infact the labs are one of the main USP of this college. Overall activities are allo very good

Our alumni network is moderately strong. Since everyone is busy in their own life it is a bit difficult these days to keep in contact with everyone but the college organises yearly alumni meet where we get to meet each other.

Based on the marks of class 12 merit list was published for the subject that I applied for i.e Microbiology. My name was there in the first merit list so easily got an admission through offline counselling. After counselling and fee payment, document verification was done. After completion of all the formalities a date was given from which our classes started.

All the facilities are very good and helpful also they are qualified enough. Except for 1-2 faculties all of them are very friendly and helpful. They take their classes regularly and their lectures are quite useful.
