Remarks

Very good externship opportunities available through tie ups with Universities abroad. Travel grant is also given to students for presenting their research in any National or international conference. There's also MAHE seed funding research grant given to aspiring students.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The curriculum is very systematic and the schedule for the entire course is released on the day of orientation itself. There are sessional exams and few monthly exams as well, all exams are on electronic pads.

Placement Experience

4.5

Most of the students proceed to post graduate studies, so placements are never an issue. Internship is provided by the college in any of the five attached hospitals. They pay interns around twenty thousand a month.

College Events

4

As it's a multi disciplinary University there are some or the other event going on at any of the constituent colleges. There's an intra College cultural fest and UTSAV which is an intra MAHE fest which has participation from every College of MAHE spread across the globe.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Students have to pay course fee yearly throughout their course duration. It's expensive as it's a self funded University but if you make use of all the opportunities out there it'll be worth every penny one pays.

Fees and Financial Aid

Based on the NEET exam AIR , students ranking under 5000 are eligible for scholarship upto hundred percent. Students ranking under thousand by all India rank are given freeship which is a boon for meritorious students.

Campus Life

4

There's a world class sports complex called MARENA, which helps students play any sport they want to. You name it and it's all there. Labs have the latest equipment which are rarely found in any government College.

Hostel Facilities

4

There are many hostel options ranging from single room with AC to triple room non AC, it's entirely upto the student preference for the choice of hostel. There's also an international hostel with world class facilities. Even in other hostels student's life is made comfortable enough with the facilities.

Alumni/Alumna

There are many portals which connect alumni to present students. This helps current students a lot, they get valuable career guidance which is reliable and often not found anywhere on the web. Senior students very much help juniors for almost everything from recommending books to teaching important clinical skills.

Admission

I'd given the NEET exam in 2016, based on my merit I was ranked 13000, then based on this I'd to apply for the counselling which was held at Manipal University's campus in Manipal. I'd attended it and had eventually opted for an MBBS seat in KMC during the counselling.

Faculty

4

Very experienced and knowledgeable. They take keen interest in teaching. Every professor is approachable and encourage students participating in research. The college has the highest number of ICMR STS selections which reflects on the faculties commitment towards promoting student research.

Course Curriculum Overview:

curriculum is designed to be highly relevant and comprehensive for modern medical practice.Early Clinical Exposure is One of the strongest aspects of the curriculum is introducing students to patients in their very second year. The final year of the curriculum—the Compulsory Rotatory Residential Internship (CRRI) is effective it prepares students for the high-pressure environment of Indian healthcare, making them very capable of handling emergencies and outpatient departments (OPD ). Students feel that lectures are still too focused on passive PowerPoint presentations.Rigorous schedule, integrating "Life Skills" or "Stress Management" modules more formally into the foundation course would be helpful. The university exams (RGUHS) are generally fair but require a very high level of descriptive writing and practical precision.
