Remarks

The college is one of the most prestigious institutions in Asia and the first engineering college in British India. It has a vast alumni network spanning across the globe. The college is located on the foothills of Himalaya and has a lot of nearby places to be visited.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The Course Curriculum is good but a little outdated as compared to the current technological requirements of the industry. The courses are extensive and quite detailed in the respective fields. There are exams conducted each semester, mid term exam and the end term exam, having 25 percent and 50 percent weightage respectively. The rest of the weightage is taken into account in practicals and quizzes.

Placement Experience

4

The college placements are one of the highest in the nation. A large number of companies visit the campus every year to hire students from the college. Internships are also provided by the college as there are companies visiting the campus for internships as well. I haven't done any internships yet.

College Events

4

The college celebrates Thomso, the cultural fest, and Cognizance, the technical fest. Thomso comprises of various cultural activities which include dance, music, band, fashion, art, and various other compensations. In the technical fest competitions for programming, development, robotics, and various workshops are conducted.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is not feasible for everyone and hence scholarships are provided to economically weaker students. There is a full tution fee exemption for students having their family income less than 1 lakh annually.

Fees and Financial Aid

There is full tution fee exemption for students having family income less than 1 lakh annually, 2/3 tution fee exemption for students having family income between 1 lakh and 3 lakh annually, and 1/3 tution fee exemption for students having family income between 3 lakh and 5 lakh annually.

Campus Life

4.5

There are a lot of extracurricular activities in the college. Sports, athletics, swimming, music, dance, art and many more clubs are there for the students. There are labs for the related coursed as well as there is an Institute computer center for all kinds of technical support to the students.

Alumni/Alumna

The college had a vast alumni network across the globe. There are alumni in all kinds of works. The seniors are very helpful in helping and guiding in every aspect be it academics or life-related problems.

Admission

I got admitted through JEE(Advanced). The admission process comprises of an all-India entrance examination JEE Mains which was earlier conducted by CBSE and now it is being conducted by NTA(National Testing Agency). Students qualifying this proceed to appear in JEE Advance conducted by one of the 7 zonal IITs. This is followed by counseling to finally get admitted to one of the IITs.

Faculty

4.5

The college faculty is very good in terms of teaching. They are experienced and have deep knowledge in the respective courses they are teaching. They are punctual in the classes and try to give a detailed an explanation of concepts as possible.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is highly relevant, focusing on practical knowledge for real-world prep, though more hands-on application and updated content would strengthen it. Exams occur 6 times yearly; they are tough but fair for the course.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course because of its affordability and the teaching quality of this college is good . They helps in choosing the real life application based projects . Teaching methods are impressive but they don't provide notes . We have make notes by attending class regularly. Frequency and timings of exams are of 3 hrs. For each subject . Difficulty level is moderate and students can prepare it well in the gap days also .
