Germany is the most popular low-budget destination for Indian students. Public universities in Germany charge zero tuition fees. You pay only a semester contribution of EUR 150 to EUR 400 per semester (INR 16,080 to INR 42,880 per semester), which covers administrative costs and usually includes a public transport pass.
Two exceptions Indian students must know:

- Choose public universities over private ones
Public universities in Germany, France, Norway and Czech Republic charge zero to minimal tuition. Private universities in the same countries charge EUR 5,000 to EUR 20,000 per year. The degree quality at top public universities is equal to or better than private alternatives.
- Pick smaller cities
