The teachers are friendly with the students and i have the best learning experience in there.
The facilities gauhati university is providing and the infrastructure. teachers try to provide as much information as they can. the campus is so peaceful. hostels facilities are so good. gauhati university provides good health and medical facilities
The courses are very good as they probide a vast selection of them.

Dislikes

There was no entrance exam for us, it was online registration and merit list was provided, there was no entrance exam for us.
Some teacher are very good and some are so bad in behavior and teaching so i dislike some teachers.
Teachers are not good in teaching they are also bad behavior.

Likes

Playing sports like football and basketball since they help us to exercise
Sightseeing the college surrounding have beautiful views
Making friends the college collect less fee which make all people from diff places come to study and make friends

Dislikes

Scamming others like talking on their back
Hurting friends like there are always some misunderstandings so i never like to hurt them
Differentiating according to tribes since all are equal before the law whether they are backward or rich

Course Curriculum Overview:

I took geography as my honors since this course have better scope in most of the competitive exams. In this course we almost study everything about India and other countries all over the world which give us an extra advantage while preparing for competitive exams.

It's environment and campus.it has good weather through out the year
It have good academic history through the past years
It has good support for sports and games

Dislikes

It's lacking in infrastructures and low funds
It's fees are going higher every years .
The main hostel are not maintained properly

BBEC - Where life gets realistic

Likes

Canteen facilities are good, there are many stalls inside and outside the college.
Rest areas are there in the scorcing sun , there is a beautiful pond in campus.
Teachers are friendly in our department and can seek any kind of help related to studies or personal problems.

Dislikes

Fees is too high and increases every year, no electricity generator in working condition
No college gate since the year 2008 and it is a government institute.
Need more machines in labs and beed lab classes and other co cirrucular activiies rather than engineering topics.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The cirriculum is very well organised howerwver the professors fail to complete the syllabus every year. The last week will be of a bullet train speed trying to cover few topics and complete the syllabus irrespective of the students understanding.

I have been here for 3years and the number of ladies compared to men is significantly higher.The ratio could be 70:30(girls:boys).
Teachers are friendly,campus is clean.we have programmes and functions which is a very good break after the pressure from academic stresses.
We have some extra curricular activies like science club book keeping which is very good for developmental skills.

Dislikes

There is not much negative comments for me but one thing I would like to mention is that some students spitting in the bathroom and getting it stained.

I have been an individual that loved animal creatures. So I opt for the specific department that is zoology. The curriculum it's good it prepares is for real world is significant areas The practicals we do in our department have always be so useful in many areas.some improvement I would like to suggest is that the teaching method could be more of a making students understand type through oral or activies whether be it be in native language nagamese Hindi English or any other with respect to students comprehension..

I dislike paying bus fee even when im staying in government hostel

I took this course as an interest relating to geography and for the scopes it carries and currently im finding it interesting to me as of now...the teaching faculties are good at some level and the questions set by them are good for the bachelors level

The aspects of the college that have appreciated me is that it provides regular classes.
My engagement with campus life is that it's very eco friendly and we like it.
The faculty expertise, teaching methods and mentorship is very good they are very friendly.

Dislikes

It doesn't provide any internship as compared to other colleges.
The quality of the infrastructure is not very commendable.
The effectiveness of the placement services is not provided.

Specific aspey of the curriculum that influenced me to take the course if that this subject was my favourite and also the faculties are very good so.The areas for improvements in the course curriculum and teaching methods is commendable as it provides regular classes.

First I am impressed with the teaching faculty and the non teaching faculty
Satisfied with the college campus and the infrastructure though it needs more improvement
The environment and the weather of Jotsoma where the college is located is very please

Dislikes

More Co-curricular activities needed to be added and given more attention on
Need to improve the lab facilities and the washroom facilities
Not satisfied with this semester exam being held on October

I am a physics Honor's student and the teaching up to now is just fine though not very perfect, but can manage and cope with it. The exams are adjustable too as long as we are into our books so yeah it's fine for me

Gotta make the best of your youth

COLLEGE surrounded are filled with green trees beautiful flowers
Friends only reason to go to college is to hang out with them
We have large college compound to hang out

Dislikes

bad weather like our whether there changes at an instant
Not enough sports activities we don't have much intra sport's meet
much focus of academic fields but not in extracellular fields

Course Curriculum Overview:

Must introduced new methods of teaching with everchanging time. Our exams expands around nearly a month with practicals first and theory giving us enough time to prepare for the exam. We have Ggp method of grading. Our syllabus are vast but usually sometimes simplified by the faculty for our convenience.

The curriculum mostly deals with practical which influenced me to choose the course. Our curriculum includes carrier discussion which will help us for real world applications and further academic pursuits. Teachers should not only Focus on the syllabus but also help us think out of the box. Our frequency and timings is good.

The classroom and overall study environment is quite fine
Some of the faculties are so much supportive..
The campus is big...lots of empty space....there is too much greenery around...natural swimming pools...all around...

Dislikes

The study atmosphere in the campus overall is not good tho
There is no proper library and the computer lab is very poorly maintained
There is no proper lighting in the classrooms....literally there is powercut of 70 percent of the time

I chose Electrical Engineering, because it had a large scope for future settlement The course is fun overall, the laboratory practices and the environment is good There is too much stress and pressure during the study, a lesser stressful environment helps The exams are held twice per year, that is 2 semesters. The difficulty level is moderate to hard

One of my friends graduated from Gauhati University. According to her, it’s a decent university.

Faculty: The faculties are dedicated. They may seem strict at first, but you can approach them, regarding your problems.

Curriculum: The course curriculum is up-to-date. You can even follow the syllabus for various entrance tests.

Classes: Classes are held regularly. The institute is also strict regarding attendance.

Co-curricular: Different co-curricular activities are held around the academic year.

The environment on campus is great for studies. The university has been accredited with NAAC A grade. Overall it can be a great place to pursue your studies.
