What should I choose between BITS Pilani EEE or IIT Guwahati engineering physics?

Both BITS Pilani and IT Guwahati are reputable institutions with strong engineering programs. It’s highly recommended that you go through the contents of the curriculum once before opting for any major. Most students skip this and regret it later as they are forced to study courses they least expected. Go through the books of these courses and determine if the matter intrigues you or not. IIT Guwahati Engineering Physics program covers a wide spectrum of fields. Although the placement scenario is average, it definitely quenches your thirst for knowledge of Physics and also prepares you for higher studies. Another good option for core physics is MSc at Kanpur or Kharagpur. Although EP will expose you to multiple options, you will require another degree. It’s better to analyze your interests deeply before making the final decision. As far as the EEE at BITS Pilani is concerned, I am strongly against anyone joining BITS irrespective of the branch they choose. The curriculum is poorly structured and lacks flexibility. The placement scenario is deteriorating day by day. The exposure offered is null and thus BITS Pilani should be your last option when all doors are closed. You will end up wasting your time and money with no solid knowledge up your sleeve by the end of 4 years. Ultimately, the decision of which program to choose depends on your personal preferences and career goals.

Admission to IIT Guwahati requires passing the JEE Mains and Advanced exams, with counseling and seat allotment completed by mid-July. A clear review of iit Guwahati

Fees and Financial Aid:

Tution Fees at indian institute of technology, Guwahati is 1Lakh per semester . That means 2 lakh per annum.this is for general students (i belong). For ews and obc they get concessions under some conditions.the hostel and mess fees is 43,200 per semester , payable for every semester. 20k is one time fee at time of admission.I haven't got any scholarships. Merit cum means scholarship is there in institute if I'm in class top 25 percentage

There is waivers in fees of the college and there is availability of scholarship also The fees waiver you.will get if you are SC St or PWD students then you don't have to pay tution fees and only hostel mess fees willbe given which is around 30000

What is inside IIT

For Me Like ST /SC Student there is no tuition fees . We just have to pay for hostel/ mess fees. For general guys & obc I think they have to pay around 125000 per semester . For us there are number of scholarship like nsp (National scholarship) Mcm scholarship etc

I am a general student so I don't have any other benefits the fees is very high for general students . But we get student loans from the bank and we can financially assist ourselves I am still a 2nd year so i don't have any internship yet

Fees are high but do not worry about this IIT will provide you deduction on the basis of your family income and also a lot of scholarships . And at the end you are in the top university of india so job opportunities are good

The truth

Fees structure is reasonable but it could have been less if fees were not reduced for students with reservations. For BTech I haven't encountered any opportunities for scholarship. The stipend will be available only for mtech and Ph.D. students.
