Likes

The faculty members of our department are very helpful and all are experienced teachers and their teaching methods are also good.
The campus of the university is very beautiful and calm.
Hostel facilities are also very good, the hostel infrastructures are very good and the hygiene is also well maintained in the hostels .

Dislikes

The over stress because of the exam pattern
Even though the university excells in academic excellence but the pressure is too much high. More extra curricular activities may nitiated.
Not much funded nternships are provided by the University or departments.

Tezpur University review

Likes

Green campus,peace full environment and hostel rooms
Hostel rooms are good. Library is very good
Good department, good teachers and good labs

Dislikes

Placement is average and academic is quite hectic
Too many exams per semesters .There is no industrial exposer
Average faculties and grading system is also not good

Placement Experience:

Students are allowed to sit at placement after 6th semester. For this year no. Of company visit are 4 for my department and students placed around 6 . Highest package this year is around 12 lacs. Out of 70 students only 40 are eligible to appeared in placement and from which only 6 are selected. To apply to study abroad.

I liked everything except the competitive environment

Placement Experience:

The college placement is better before the corona but after the corona it is gaining back its form and this year we have heard a good placement report form our senior that L&T OIL INDIA all are giving on campus placement and many of our senior get their off campus placement from ongc oil ISRO etc

Green campus, clean, hostels alloted, Faculties qualified almost everyone having phd degree. Teaching method good.Also cleanliness of campus . Infrastructure is quite good.Lab facilities instruments all departments.Culture of North east + othrombined
Placement cell is there.Everyone given double rooms.Those who are not allotted hostel are alloted temporary hostels.University take care of them too . Teachers encouraging and regular evaluation of 4 tests a semester.Every evaluation done fair
Teachers are hardworking.Seminars hold regularly to encourage students participate in different things.Inside campus cafeteria,shopping complex,gym, libraries every facilities are there with 24*7 electricity and water

Dislikes

Placement not very good.Just average.Recession might be the reason
Schedule is hectic especially in 1st and 2nd semester.Like 9.10 to 5.30 in between one small 20 min tea break and 1 hr lunch
Hostel Infrastructure is not very great not bad for some hostels.But still manageable

After 6th sem students become eligible for campus placements Details can be found on website still companies like itc,l&t,amul, patanjali etc offer placement here in Tezpur University Higest is not revealed but average 4lakh expected 40-60% students get placed Students opt for higher studies i may too opt for higher studies not decided yet

The campus is really beautiful and equiped with facinating areas
Campus Life is sos good . You will really enjoy a lot here.
Infrastructure is really good every department has its own building.

Dislikes

Campus is good but very strict rules are present here.
Faculty is really strict the will give you w on less attendance and you have to repeat your whole year.
Infrastructure is good but everything construction in campus gave you hedeach.

Placement Experience:

The minimum eligibility for campus placement is your cgpa should be above then 7.0 and placement happens to cs/ ece and some core branches not all branches place here through campus placement. Like civil does'nt place at all.

A review on Tezpur University.

Likes

I like everything about this campus. It is cool.
It has good sports facilities with a good ground.
The basketball court is good and playable.

Dislikes

I don't like the mess food a lot. It's too oily.
Some of the faculty members are very boring.
The environment outside the university is very dusty.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is pretty good. I was not influenced by any external factors. I wanted to opt for English and Tezpur University was a good choice for this. There are 4 exams in one semester, 1 exam each month.

the course is very good as the faculty is good. the infrastructure is also good. the timings of the exams are a little hectic as it is held every month for 4 months. sometimes exams are held two in a day

This was an integrated course which made it more appropriate to apply here as it includes bachelors and masters degree in 5 years. It provides us an opportunity to focus on our inner self to know our potential.

The environment of Tezpur University is eye pleasing.

The University environment provides its students ample opportunities for one's holistic development.

Dislikes

The washrooms are littered by the students
The 9:30 time limit or entry restrictions for girls in the hostels is discrimination against the female population
The university covers a huge syllabus in a much shorter period

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course provides us with two major papers and two minor papers along with the other multidisciplinary and skill enhancement courses such as law, design, tour guiding, business communication, language subjects., etc.

Campus is nice and infrastructure is well maintained
Library facility is excillent ,there is lots of book to read
Lab is good in which you can do your simulation any time

Placement is not good as its needs to improved

there is no such type of placement in which 80% people got placed , here 20% studentgot place with limited branches and company . so placement scenerio needs to be improved, imy goal is to start my own company as a start up.

Tezpur university has very good cricket ground.
University has very good water supply at every day.
Cycle stand at university is good cycle available for going.

Dislikes

Tezpur university hostel food is not good.
University doesn't allow for vehicle for students use.
Wifi at the hostel is not high speed.and some time not work.

Placement in the tezpur university is good, many of he companies comes to university Itc, wipro, iocl, powergrid, l and t, amul and many other. Highest package is 19 lpa. Most of the student get placed. Higher study at same university.

One of my friends attended Tezpur University. His experience with the university has not been good. Here are some of the things that she shared with me.

The administration there is headed by only one person and the VC is not cooperative.
You will get in trouble if any of your batch mates get involved in any misbehavior.
Attending classes there is very important and otherwise, you may not be allowed to do your internships.
The library is inadequate. The wifi facility on campus is also not that good.
The placement record of the institute is average. The average CTC offered at the recent placement drive was 3.5 LPA.

So, if you have other better options go for it.

What is your review of mechanical engineering department, Tezpur University?

One of my friends studied Mechanical at Tezpur University. Let me share his experiences and knowledge about the college. He, being a student there, will know the intricacies of the college and how they function.

Faculty: The mechanical department hosts a really good faculty. Most of them are good at teaching and all of them have a great research-oriented mindset.
Projects: About 80% of the projects are based on numerical simulations. These include optimization, analysis, modeling, developing CFD solvers, Comsol modeling and the rest are mainly experimental.
Specialization: The department mainly started its M.Tech course in 2013 with a specialization in Applied mechanics. The Thermal and Fluid Engineering specialization began in 2016 and from 2018 onwards, another specialization in Machine Design was also started. The department is definitely growing with time.

Placement:
