I liked the campus beauty and the staff over here who are very supportive and the teachera who are ready for yoy every time you go to them and wven the hygine is maintained quite good here
Faculty members in this department are the best atleast i think so, they interact with students in a friendly manner this allows us to freely ask our doubts and gain knowledge.
Tution fee in each year is increased by 10 percent and there are number of scholarships and fee refunds for which a student can apply for after approval of his cirtificates and various other documents.

Dislikes

Hostels - their is not sufficient hostels available for students and hostel mess is very bad. their is no student union available so it is very difficult to make some change in college.
It is not so good as expected because of lack of facilities within the college.but according to social aspects and culture it is good and our nit is lacking infrastructure and this affects campus life too.
It is a very small campus compared to the other nits, the college grounds are very small, and there are no separate buildings for the courses.

Architecture Department of NIT Hamirpur

Likes

The campus is very beautiful full of greenery and peace.
The faculy is very experienced and supportive. In classrooms there are screens for teaching.
The college has so many clubs like Music, Dance, Bhangra, Nati, Departmental Technical Clubs, Finance, Photography, PR, etc to enhance talent.

Dislikes

Campus is in hills so walking can be a little tiring.
Very less Educational trips organised by department.
Less on Site working experience and more theoritical.

Placement Experience:

The placement of Architecture Department NIT Hamirpur for 2024 passout batch was 100% with highest package of 12LPA. The average package in around 6LPA. Many Profound companies like L&T, M Moser, V Construct, Sanrachna, Livspace, etc visits.

NIT RAIPUR (THE EMERGING NIT)

Likes

i liked the faculty of the electrical department. the professors are very helpful and highly educated and provides the best concept to easily grasp the concepts
the college has so many clubs which are really helpful for the student to engage in and enhance there communication leadership skills and learn a lot about how the things works in a particular domain
the college has exciting fest which is really like stress buster for student to enjoy in that event and the best part is that the student conduct and manage the event fully

Dislikes

the cmapus size is only 10 acres which is very small campus
the eateries are not as much as in the other NITs campuses
the boys to girls ratio is very less about 4.75

Placement Experience:

our college placements are good around 80 percentage of students placed in 2023 palcement drive.the off campus opportunities are there through the referral of out aluminies working in that companies and student can write the government exams like GATE ,CAT, GRE exams and get there masters degree from IITs,IIM (MBA),ASTERS IN FOREIGN UNIVERSITIES LIKE MIT ,STANFORD

Why NIT RAIPUR is a good option!!

Likes

We have very good faculties who always support you for improvement
We have cafe coffee day, Vachan parlour, canteen in our college
We have central garden and left garden where we get relaxed

Dislikes

Lack of seats in hostel so not every student get hostel

Placement Experience:

For 5th semester only students start getting internship and from 4 year they will get placement thorough different companies like coal India limited, Amazon etc Highest package this year was 28lpa And average package was 10lpa

Detailed review of NIT Raipur

Likes

Good Alumini network which helps in wherever we go and do anything
Many clubs and committe , helps student to improve his talent in whichever field he want
Good placemwnt statistics, especially core placements are great

Dislikes

Pretty small campus , before we start it ends
Hostels are pretty less, only 250 out of 1000 members get hostel every year
No campus auditorium and no sports complex and playing area is pretty minimum

Course Curriculum Overview:

Academic curriculum is great but it need to be improved because at last most of the students want placements ,they need to add few subjects related to placements because they need not to study externally

NIT RAIPUR AT A GLANCE

Likes

The college does not have hectic schedule,we can relax and also enjoy our free time.
The college life here is so cool.You can explore many new things in college like clubs,sports,library,campus.
You can relax about your placement.This college has a decent placement rate about 80 percent and an average package of 13 lpa.

Dislikes

The most disappointing aspect here is teaching.The professors for 1st year don't have teaching skills.So it's hard to cope up with them.

Placement Experience:

*Students become eligible for campus placements from final(4th) year or 7th semester. *Companies like zs Associates,TVS motors,Phonepe, Accenture, Deloitte USI,EXL,Caterpillar Inc.,Bosch ltd.,Quantiphi,PWC India,Dassault systems,Fractal analytics, Reliance industries limited,Aditya Birla group and many more companies visited and a total of 834 offers were made. *The highest package is 62 lpa and the average package is around 14 lpa. *The percentage of students getting placement is around 80 percent. *After getting degree i would like to work in Psu's or non-core field.

"Student life and academics at NIT Raipur: A detailed review"

Likes

i liked our college fests, sports event, faculty .
i liked management of hostels. The guards are strict but rest of everything is good
i liked college seniors who are especially taking part in clubs, events because they are very helpful to us

Dislikes

i did not like our mess food because it doesn't have taste like our places
i hate our ground because it is fully crowded with people in the evening and it is not very well maintained
i hate our gym because it doesn't have limitations in the people entering in to it

From third year and 5th si=emester students are eligilble to internship opportunities and also placement opportunities. there will be on campus placements so many companies like gold sachs,amazon,phonepay,accenture comes to our college and hire our students . the highest package wil be 1 cr and average package will be 50 lakhs per annum.My plans after my degree is to do mtech in an iit and get a job in big mnc

Regarding the Nit Raipur

Likes

The faculty is good and the classrooms are best in these colleges
Good facilities provided to the student regarding the labs and so and soo
Ragging free campus seniors are moving friendly

Dislikes

Hostel seats are limited all the students cant get the seat in hostel
Small campus waters facility in campus is less
Providing internet is low and placements are just oky in off campus

Course Curriculum Overview:

We are in the mining department our seniors are best at the campus placements where like high in this campus as well as this year our campus had the highest packages of 63lpa and our off campus packages is 2cores

Management is good,Greenish area,Clean campus,staff etc
Seniors are very cooperative and helps juniors.
Infrastructure is huge and good.Rooms are huge and well managed.

Dislikes

Less volleyball courts,small ground,no track for running, etc sports related problems
Only good CGPA students get hostel in 2nd,3rd,4rth year students. Less hostel seats
Canteen is small and not getting all stationary in campus.us

My opinion on my college

Likes

opportunity of research is good. placement is decent and many will get placed and also decent good companies will be coming here to offer placements
fests are very nice in this college we also have central india largest cultural fest called as eclectika which is conducted by a cultural commitee sanskriti. it is an absolute eye feast
and the last but not least faculty is so nice and we have a nice library which is very useful

Dislikes

the main thing i disliked is hostel accomodation which is not available to every student but only some students
and now coming to campus area campus is very small compared to any other nit or iits It is so disappointing for a nit
and as i said already hostel accomodation is not proper

placements are decent from 6th semester. Companies will provide internship opportunities but to go for placement until 7th semester u can also try outside of the campus in 6th semester we can get long term internship opportunities if company is satisfied with student performance we can get directly placed into that company

Seniors are way too awesome and super helpful
Sports facilities are good fully occupied with flood lights
The college has a central library that is aur conditioned

Dislikes

Campus is quite small as compared to other colleges
The college is unable to occupy every students into its own hostel
The professors are not so professional in their teaching style

Placement Experience:

The college is wonderful in terms of placements. The highest package offered this year was 65 lpa. The college also has a good startup culture. Many companies do visit our college and the alumni network is also very good which helps the students to greater extent.

As an alumnus of NIT Raipur, here are my views on this institution-

Faculty- The faculty lags behind in terms of NIT standards. It is slightly above average. This is because their teaching method is not very engaging. That being said, the teachers are helpful. They will advise you to engage in extracurriculars as well.

Student Interaction- The senior-junior interaction is good.

Despite IIT Raipur and AIIMS Raipur being in close proximity, interaction and

idea-sharing with them is negligible.

Industry Connect- It has a good industry connection for some core branches like mining, metallurgy, and civil.

Campus Life- The campus life isn’t good. But eventually, you’ll learn to cope with things and enjoy yourself. You’ll learn a lot during your degree from this campus.

Infrastructure- There is a lot of room for improvement in the infrastructure of this college.

Placement- Placement records are decent. Last year an average package of INR 10.1 LPA was recorded by the college. A total of 738 offers were made by 101 companies. Some of the companies that visit the campus for placements include- Infoedge, Siemens, Adobe, Barclays, Capgemini, FIAT, Reliance, TATA, SapientNitro, Oracle, Amazon, Samsung, JP Morgan Chase, Cognizant and Wipro.

Overall, I would say that NIT Raipur is a bit lacking in many respects. However, you’ll get a good chance to rise over here because of low competition.
