I liked the campus beauty and the staff over here who are very supportive and the teachera who are ready for yoy every time you go to them and wven the hygine is maintained quite good here
Faculty members in this department are the best atleast i think so, they interact with students in a friendly manner this allows us to freely ask our doubts and gain knowledge.
Tution fee in each year is increased by 10 percent and there are number of scholarships and fee refunds for which a student can apply for after approval of his cirtificates and various other documents.

Dislikes

Hostels - their is not sufficient hostels available for students and hostel mess is very bad. their is no student union available so it is very difficult to make some change in college.
It is not so good as expected because of lack of facilities within the college.but according to social aspects and culture it is good and our nit is lacking infrastructure and this affects campus life too.
It is a very small campus compared to the other nits, the college grounds are very small, and there are no separate buildings for the courses.

Likes

Faculty department is good, healthy social environment and comfortable to move around safety is good
Departments are active and very good and technical availability is also good
Highly secured and we'll maintained garden and canteens

Dislikes

Dj night has been banned there the events need more investment and active participation
Classroom needs better benches and seating arrangement and repair
Campus size should be increased and more trees should be planted around

The course curriculum is also very good and very much knowledgeable although there should be more practical training and teaching in all the subjects for better understanding and learning and application

Likes

The teaching staff here are very supportive.
Less burden to the students leading to better emotional health
Various activities regularly held for refreshments of the students

Dislikes

Campus size is quite small as compared to other nit
Food facilities were not up to the mark in taste,service, availability
Hostel space was limited so there were lot of needy students who didn't got the hostel

Placement Experience:

Placement were good there were too many company who came and gave opportunities to the students. Mostly all the students who were elegible got placed and some students got more than 2 offers form the company. Vedanta limited came gave 100 opportunities Deloitte came and gave 120+ opportunities

Likes

Environment here is good you will definitely feel pleasant
Club and committee help you get exposure and know more people
Most of the faculty here are really good at teaching

Dislikes

There are not sufficient no. of hostels for students
Girls hostel have different and unfair rules as compared to boys hsotels
Campus is too small, not like other NITs

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum seems perfect to me since we have the major subjects of the course in the early years which makes it easier for us to gain enough knowledge in further years to serve the nation and become succesful.

Why you should NOT choose NIT RAIPUR

Likes

The college has good library and course releated books which helps students study easily. Also the lend books for one month of time.
College canteen, which was opened recently is a good place to hangout.
Basketball court, the court woth two hoops is perfect place for a player to practice skills.

Dislikes

The voice of construction, constantly kills my eardrums.

I choose my course cause it was best course offered in NIT Raipur. NIT Raipur was known for its civil base which is widely recognised in Chattisgarh state. The course is not updated it needs to be update to latest technology.

Fabulous day

Likes

Here all the club and committee are active
Fest conducted by club and committee in which we learned and enjoy alot which give us refreshment and freshness
Traning and placement cell always take session and deliver lots of knowledge and things through which we can learn many things which is so much helpful for us

Dislikes

After going in department we can't bunk classes usually 😅 but this also a good thing
Early morning classes we have to fastly in classroom
During the fest our gaurd check out I'd card this feels like oh don't you remember my face everyday I came early morning

Placement Experience:

For campus placement from 7th semester students are eligible from 5th semester also they will get PPO and PPI offer on campus JSW JSPL Vedanta etc this company give packege to many students Highest packet is 55 lakh per Anum Many seniors get In our course in 2024 100% we have been seen Definately I'll also prepare for campus placement

Likes

College provides many good facilities in terms of infrastructure
Sports facilities are also very good in the campus
Labs are very good for research purposes

Dislikes

Less campus area as compared to other nities
Limited seats in hostels so many have to live outside
Hectic schedule in terms of academics and classes

Placement Experience:

In recent years of remeson every college placement is already affected. But our college is coping with it very effectively. College packages are getting better day by day and students of lower breaches are also getting good packages.

Honest Review By Student Of Architecture at NITRR

Likes

Professors are highly qualified and expert in their respective fields.
College provides many events and clubs are made for extra cocurricular activities such as Photography, music, dance, drama etc
In every courses including architecture also, college provides paid internships. And also college placements are possible here.

Dislikes

Tough placements are possible but in field of architecture placements are not much confirmed, mostly students search for off campus placements.

After semester 10 students are eligible for campus placement. Yes, institute offer campus placements but very limited. Highest package is 8 lakh and average is 6-7 lakh. I'll try to get campus placement at any cost, because it's very helpful for skill development.

The connectivity of the institute is good, since it is located in the raipur city
The campus life is good, there are good fests in the college
The placement opportunities are really good

Dislikes

Lack of enough hostels is the main issue
Lack of proper infrastructure is also an issue
Non- ac classrooms make it difficult to study in summer

Placement Experience:

Placement opportunities in our college are really good. Many big it companies like Adobe, ZS- associates, Capgemini, cognizant, Goldman sachs etc along with core companies like JSW, JSPL, Vedanta, Mahindra etc also arrive for providing placement opportunities to the students. In our branch, this year, the placement percentage was more than 95% and the average package was around 8 lakhs per annum.

As mentioned earlier, in Architecture department, on campus placement opportunities are lesser. But off campus opportunities are grabed by students. Few private companies like LnT, Techture, Livspace and PSUs like EIL, Mecon do offer placements Many times the huge alumni network also supports in the placement. Generally students opt of Jr Architect or interior designer role but some students also switch streams for Graphic Design, UI - UX, 3D visualiser etc. Some students opt for masters in architecture, planning, design or management also. They go for entrance exams like GATE, CEED, CAT etc

NIT Raipur - overview

Likes

It's position is an important aspect ,as it is located in the heart of the city raipur with very well connectivity to main railway station and airport
It's campus life is really quite good with good atmosphere and. Good crowd
There is not much academic burden , you get enough time to explore different skills

Dislikes

Hostels are very limited, you have to score good in order to get a seat in hostel.

Placement Experience:

Placement is really quite nice in NIT raipur with an average package of 11lpa and the highest being 55 lpa. Nearly 75% people got placed in the year 2023-2024 with the highest percentage placement being in chemical engineering branch with almost 90% students getting placed . Many big companies such as Deloitte, Deutsche Bank, JP morgan, phone PE are our recruiters

As an alumnus of NIT Raipur, here are my views on this institution-

Faculty- The faculty lags behind in terms of NIT standards. It is slightly above average. This is because their teaching method is not very engaging. That being said, the teachers are helpful. They will advise you to engage in extracurriculars as well.

Student Interaction- The senior-junior interaction is good.

Despite IIT Raipur and AIIMS Raipur being in close proximity, interaction and

idea-sharing with them is negligible.

Industry Connect- It has a good industry connection for some core branches like mining, metallurgy, and civil.

Campus Life- The campus life isn’t good. But eventually, you’ll learn to cope with things and enjoy yourself. You’ll learn a lot during your degree from this campus.

Infrastructure- There is a lot of room for improvement in the infrastructure of this college.

Placement- Placement records are decent. Last year an average package of INR 10.1 LPA was recorded by the college. A total of 738 offers were made by 101 companies. Some of the companies that visit the campus for placements include- Infoedge, Siemens, Adobe, Barclays, Capgemini, FIAT, Reliance, TATA, SapientNitro, Oracle, Amazon, Samsung, JP Morgan Chase, Cognizant and Wipro.

Overall, I would say that NIT Raipur is a bit lacking in many respects. However, you’ll get a good chance to rise over here because of low competition.
