I liked the campus beauty and the staff over here who are very supportive and the teachera who are ready for yoy every time you go to them and wven the hygine is maintained quite good here
Faculty members in this department are the best atleast i think so, they interact with students in a friendly manner this allows us to freely ask our doubts and gain knowledge.
Tution fee in each year is increased by 10 percent and there are number of scholarships and fee refunds for which a student can apply for after approval of his cirtificates and various other documents.

Dislikes

Hostels - their is not sufficient hostels available for students and hostel mess is very bad. their is no student union available so it is very difficult to make some change in college.
It is not so good as expected because of lack of facilities within the college.but according to social aspects and culture it is good and our nit is lacking infrastructure and this affects campus life too.
It is a very small campus compared to the other nits, the college grounds are very small, and there are no separate buildings for the courses.

My chemical engineering experience in NIT raipur

Likes

Placement percentage of this college is really good even after having some branches such as mining biotech and biomed
Professor's are very helping and good always there to help you out with everything
You don't have to wait for day's or week for some paper work the students association department is very helpful

Dislikes

Infrastructure is very old..and doesn't provide a good vibe
Lack of hostels very few students get hostel inside the campus or else you have to look for some PGs outside
Sports ground and mess food ...they aren't good

Placement Experience:

After 6th semester students become eligible for placement. Alot of companies visit our college for campus placement such as phone pe,ZS associates,tredence,sprinklr Companies like phone pe,ZS offers packages of 18-20 lakh maximum and and avg of 15-16 lakh Placement percentage of this college is around 76% and talking about chemical last time the placement percentage was around 96% M about to go for a non core job

NIT RAIPUR -A OVERVIEW

Likes

Good placements Providence in this college and good assistance from faculty
The overall infrastructure is good in this college
The cultural events are performed well every year .And there will be a good scope for students to participate

Dislikes

Less ground is allocated to this college to play games and there will be no good assistance for sports persons
Hostels are not available for all the students .This is one of the wrost things in ths college .The persons who are outside of the state suffers for uneven accomodation in the college hostel and live in outside pgs

Placement Experience:

The placements are good in national institute of technology Raipur (NIT RAIPUR) .from 7 th semester onward students are eligible for the placements. The companies that offer placements for students are D.E.SHAH, DEBOY,PHONEPAY,ADOBE,G.E.HEALTH CARE etc.. There are between 80 to 95 persent of students in every branch are getting placements every year.

The size of the campus is very small around 100acre as compared to other collages

The curriculum of the college is well designed but not according to the modern world, the college more focus on theoretical knowledge as compared to practical knowledge which creates problems for the students during their placements where companies want practical knowledge.

The management of the college is good and the timeline of the course is also excellence.
The best thing about college is the placement percentage is very appreciable.
The faculties are highly educated and supportive.

Dislikes

Campus area is very small so that the campus life is zero.
Not having many sports grounds and not also sports center.
There is the shortage of hostels within the campus.

Placement Experience:

Onwards from 7th semester the companies start taking interviews and offer jobs to the students,many compaines like Amazon, TCS, Wipro, LInkedin, Microsoft, JPmorgan etc are the companies vistes the college and offer jobs to the students.The highest package of the year 2024 is 62 LPA offered by Linkedin to a computer sience student.

NIT Raipur has a strong placement record with many top companies visiting the campus for recuitments.The training cell is active in organising training and placement activities to help students to secure good jobs.
NIRF and Ranking :It is under top 79 by NIRF ranking in whole engineering colleges in India
Location: It is located in central India so that communication is well established .

Dislikes

Campus Area: It has small campus , only about 100acres
Infrstructure: It has Not very well infrastructure.
Hostel Facilites: It can't provide hostel facilities to all students.

Placement Experience:

It provide excellence placement to computer science and Information technolgy branch with avg package of 15 -18 lakhs It also has great placement in core branches like metallurgy and material science, mechanical , chemical etc

Reality of NIT Raipur

Likes

I liked the environment of the college where teachers help their students a lot
There a lot of benefits because of clubs which leads to overall development of students
Helping nature between juniors and seniors

Dislikes

We are not having sufficient hostels so majority are forced to stay outside of college
There is no proper infrastructure in college
In summer it is difference to sustain in the college including hostel

Placement Experience:

From 7th semester the students will be eligible to get the placements the companies are Cape gemini Wipro TCS etc the highest package is 62 lpa and avg package is 6 lpa Overall 80% got placed and you can go towards research etc

I really like the student friendly environment of our college.
It provides us with so many opportunities to build our future..
It also gives us opportunity to build our confidence..and work for our best future.

Placement Experience:

The placements have been really great in my college..And students become eligible for placements from 6th semester. 103 companies visited last year for placements in our college. Average packages suit well to the students here.

NIT Raipur college review( best for placement)

Likes

College campus is located at the prime location of the city.
Our college provides very good placement compared to other nits.
All the necessary service and cafés are in the campus itself.

Dislikes

Campus is not big enough and does not have proper sports facilities.
There is only one academic building for all the departments no separate departments in the campus
Hostel seats are very limited and not everyone gets hostel

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are amazing. Nearly 80 percent of the students get easily placed. Many companies like google, adobe, Factbook visit our campus. The average package for b. tech. is nearly 10 lpa and the highest package received last year was 55 lpa.

As an alumnus of NIT Raipur, here are my views on this institution-

Faculty- The faculty lags behind in terms of NIT standards. It is slightly above average. This is because their teaching method is not very engaging. That being said, the teachers are helpful. They will advise you to engage in extracurriculars as well.

Student Interaction- The senior-junior interaction is good.

Despite IIT Raipur and AIIMS Raipur being in close proximity, interaction and

idea-sharing with them is negligible.

Industry Connect- It has a good industry connection for some core branches like mining, metallurgy, and civil.

Campus Life- The campus life isn’t good. But eventually, you’ll learn to cope with things and enjoy yourself. You’ll learn a lot during your degree from this campus.

Infrastructure- There is a lot of room for improvement in the infrastructure of this college.

Placement- Placement records are decent. Last year an average package of INR 10.1 LPA was recorded by the college. A total of 738 offers were made by 101 companies. Some of the companies that visit the campus for placements include- Infoedge, Siemens, Adobe, Barclays, Capgemini, FIAT, Reliance, TATA, SapientNitro, Oracle, Amazon, Samsung, JP Morgan Chase, Cognizant and Wipro.

Overall, I would say that NIT Raipur is a bit lacking in many respects. However, you’ll get a good chance to rise over here because of low competition.
