My friend got a scholarship so i can verify it truly happens and is a great opportunity for students with low parental income to ease their parent's financial pressure
The college has really good placements, a lot of companies offer a lot of job opportunities and the packages are quite high as well.
Faculty expertise: iit delhi often attracts experienced and knowledgeable faculty members who are experts in their respective fields. students benefit from their guidance and mentorship.

Dislikes

The hostel facilities are not as good as expected the meal is too bad.
The race academy curriculum at iit delhi can be intense and demanding a leading to high levels of stress and pressure among students
75 percentage criteria is not good. moreover, classes are whole day from 8am to 6pm.

academic : iit delhi provides world class faculty and the top notch class environment with hi-tech equipments , mic -speakers ,digital board ,big classrooms , air conditioned .
I preferably like lABS here because its full of top tier instruments with all the top certification and all type of facilities and safety instruments and the lab staff is also well trained ,also we are provided TA for assitances
Hostel , they are also fine , in first year we have given a sharing room of 3 but with gradual increase in year we are given double sharing or single sharing rooms, hostel have all facility like gym, activity room ,visitor room ,library ,common room

Dislikes

Strict course policy , professors take their course seriously and deadline and submission and exams are tough , it demands a high focus and time and leave no room for error.
there many things to explore and do and in midst of this sometimes academic backlogs create and clearing them is next to impossible in this highly competitive environment where there is a rat race for every small thing
Pollution , delhi suffers a high problem of pollution ,even with a lush green campus ,the pollution level are too high and it adversely affect the health of a human being

Placement Experience:

Placements of IIT Delhi are best in the India. Almost 100% of students are placed. all top national Companies visit the campus, and almost 250 companies visit the campus for offline hiring. the student becomes eligible for placement from the 7th semester. this year a total of 1400+ offers were made. highest package is of 3cr interntion , avg package is 18 lpa and the lowest is 10lpa

The environment you got in the college is good as expect from this high reputed college
Great company to work with rather than only study
Decent sports facility so that you can excel in that also

Dislikes

So much of compitition is their in every field in the college
You can find yourself in academic pressure which is not easy to handle

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for placement after sixth semester. All the top companies from Google to Mera to Amazon to Indian companies like TCS,Wipro Mahindra most of the tech companies come for in campus placement. For the year 22-23 average package was around 20 lpa and highest was around 4cr/annum Around 80% of students get placed.

Best brains all around you inside the campus
The course content and research opportunities are best in class

Dislikes

Fees on a higher side as compared to government medical top colleges
Busy schedule during ongoing semester days
A bit overrated in terms of placement or internship opportunities

Placement Experience:

Campus placement begins in 7th semester A lot of top companies visit and give offers to the students. This year the scenario wasn't very good. Only about 60% students were placed and also the average package was very low as compared to earlier years or as expected There are options of many govt jobs after core branches

College has great students which creates good environment
College has great facilities for sports and other social events.
Professors are very helpful and knowledgable

Dislikes

There was a lack of diversity in the campus
Hostel rooms were very small so it was difficult to study there all day
Mess food was not that good and sometimes even unhygienic

Placement Experience:

There is a standard placement process in the IIT Delhi. There is a center for placement activities as well. Students are eligible for placements in 7th semester or 9th sememster as per there total semesters.

The Campus Life of IIT Delhi

IIT Delhi provides you exposure ranging from various clubs like dance, music, photography and event academic societies like aeromodelling, robotics, physics and astronomy and so on, and their events and workshops are great learnings and fun.
IIT Delhi academics is rigorous, but at the same time it is one of the best education of the country. The professors are highly skilled with respect to the course they take upto, which helps students get the maximum quality info about subjects.
The friends you make here at your hostel, will give you the best memories of the campus. Whether it be late night campus tours or overnight study sessions, everything just becomes awesome, if you have a great set of hostel friends.

Dislikes

The pressure of the academic excellence is one of the most difficult issues for a student here, as you feel imposter syndrome if you are not able to perform upto mark.
The quality of food in hostel mess becomes really bad sometimes. This creates a lot of problem for students.
The infrastructure of old hostels is really a problem as they need renovation, which is constantly being neglected.

Placement Experience:

As the final year starts, the placement drive starts happening for students. For the placement drive, you need to apply through the Office of Career Services(0CS) which conducts the placement drive. The core package of chemical engineering ranges from 12L-30L depending on the company and profile.

How a average kid get into iit and then his life changed

You can anything you want , You have practical rooms, library, sports facility. You can make yourself excell in any field
Tech involvement in class rooms. I was from a town area studied in a local school, there was a drastic change when i got to see the tech things in teaching like smart boards, high speed wifi many other stuff
You get help from your professor for your aim, projects. I was creating a basic robotic object my professor helped me a lot in it.

Dislikes

Washrooms should be cleaned regularly on daily basis.
Some time entry guards shows rude behaviour
Some professor are still not up to the mark they should evolve

Placement Experience:

I was actually not attended any placement sessions as I was completely sure what I have time do so I didn't get accurate information about placement just I know that there was Mnc's and some famous companies visited our campus and students get a good amount of package also Around 73 percent people was placed in my year My plan after degree completion was to be a teacher in Institute of iit coaching

Likes

The Infrastructure and obviously the prestige associated
The culture of Hostels and seniors, the opportunities available all across
The fests, guest speakers, co-curriculars, sport facilities etc

Dislikes

The overall pressure and the competition which often becomes toxic
The Mess food should be better, it's quite bad most of the times and the overall menu is also just not fine

Mostly all students get placed on campus, the packages may vary depending on overall profile, the campus placement happens after the 7th semester and mostly all big companies and all roles are available.Companies visiting include Amazon, Microsoft, Google, Samsung, Honda, Jaguar etc

The academic pressure, There could be a lot of academic pressure because you are competing with the cream of the nation
Grading policy- Some prof in specific branches do very very hard grading and sometimes random grading which results in average cgpa

Placement Experience:

Students then get into pre final year get eligible to sit in campus placements, approximately 900-1000 offers are made and the highest package goes around 2-3 cr which an average package is 20-25 lakhs, approximately 80% of students getting placed, while other get into startups and UPSC

College reputation gives lots of advantages and respect.
Academic facilities provided in college are very great.
Lots of extra curricular activities provides us with many opportunities to grow.

Dislikes

High academic pressure is biggest problem for students of our college
Natural environment in very bad too cold in winter, too hot in summer and most of the time covered smog.
Sometimes professors give very hard time to students for small reasons.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Civil engineering one of very intersting branch to learn, it gives you insight of how world around you is built and teaches how you can contribute to it. All the courses are well presented and most of the courses have their labs as well which gives us practical knowlege. Sometimes its hard to understand professors. Most of the student complete their syllabus using online lectures. There are too many exams in this course we can say around every week way have to face an exam.

How are the IIT Delhi hostel rooms?

The IIT Delhi hostel rooms are very comfortable and make you feel at home. The names of IIT Delhi hostels are based on the names of hill ranges of India- Aravali, Girnar, Himadri, Jwalamukhi, Kailash, Karakoram, Kumaon, Nilgiri, Satpura, Shivalik, Udayagiri, Vindhyachal and Zanskar. All the hostel rooms are two-seater. All the rooms are equipped with beds and almirahs. Water coolers are allowed inside the rooms during the summer season.
