My friend got a scholarship so i can verify it truly happens and is a great opportunity for students with low parental income to ease their parent's financial pressure
The college has really good placements, a lot of companies offer a lot of job opportunities and the packages are quite high as well.
Faculty expertise: iit delhi often attracts experienced and knowledgeable faculty members who are experts in their respective fields. students benefit from their guidance and mentorship.

Dislikes

The hostel facilities are not as good as expected the meal is too bad.
The race academy curriculum at iit delhi can be intense and demanding a leading to high levels of stress and pressure among students
75 percentage criteria is not good. moreover, classes are whole day from 8am to 6pm.

Is IIT Delhi worth it ?

Likes

I specially liked the sports facilities here. They are advanced with good coaches.
The quality of courses is also good with great number of staff and faculty.
The quality of humanities courses is also very high.

Dislikes

Hostel food is not that good on certain days.
Some professors don't know the art of teaching.
There is a lot of politics involved in getting positions of responsibility.

Placement Experience:

The placements in IIT-D are the best in the country. IITD ranks the best in the employability category. There are many many companies offering jobs during the placement season and almost everyone is placed except those who go for higher studies or UPSC preparation. The circuital branches get the maximum number of offers but there are some placement issues in the core branches like Chemical, Civil and Textile.

Likes

Great campus full of greenry and awesome infrastructure. Tech enabled classrooms and labs
Peer to peer learning as well as highly educated professors
Great extra-curricular opportunities. State-of-the-art sports facilities, auditoriums, etc.

Dislikes

Attendance policy (mandatory 75% minimum)

Placement Experience:

Placements happen at the end of 7th semester. Few companies that visit include MBB, Microsoft, Google, HFTs, and a range of startups. Offers made are upwards of 500. Highesh package can go upto 1 CR (primarily US based) and average would be around 15 LPA.

Reality of the Dream called IIT Delhi

Likes

Excellent sports facilities and infrastructure for every sport one is interested in. Well maintained fields, courts, equipments provides exceptional feeling being here.
Being in the heart of Delhi, college is well connected with the city having two metro stations just outside campus so students have very much freedom to explore the city and other commuting purposes
strong alumni network is one thing which every student will agree to admire which provides excellent networking oppurtunities and exposure to the real world

Dislikes

i fell that some professors don't teach with that enthusiam which eventually leads to some students losing interest in the course and then leaving classes subsequently
so much politics is prevalent for position of reponsibilties (POR) for different clubs and boards among students which leads to polarization , distraction, stress among students

Placement Experience:

Being such a reputed college, the placements here are excellent. Students from the final year sat for placements and from pre-final year sat for internships. Every major company visits the college like Microsoft, Google, Apple, Facebook, Jane Street. Last year, the highest package was 4 cr from Jane Street. From the statistics of last year around 93% percent of the students were placed who sat for placements. Companies come for profiles like software engineer, Quant Trader, Consulting, Management, etc.

Likes

Academic excellence is very good in IIT DELHI especially in industrial engineering
State of art infrastructure bcoz the campus equipped with modern facilities
Diverse community = IIT Delhi has a vibrant student body

Dislikes

High academic pressure may be cause stress sometime
Competition is too high here so sometime you feel over pressure
High expectations from faculties which sometimes mismatch

Placement Experience:

Placement is IIT Delhi is too good as compared to other tiers colleges but you have to always try something new here also your capacity matters a lot to become eligible in different companies placement rounds

I liked the placement cell of our college as it is very important
I liked the professors teaching style and the assessments.

Placement Experience:

Our college is best known for its placement stats and it provides placement to more than 60 percentage of students who are admitted of same year. And notebook just this it also helps the rest 40 percent to get the placement offers campus.

Corses offered and taught are higly practical and solution of problems from real life based oriented
Professors are supportive in any difficulties
Lecturehall and college infrastructure are very beautiful and comfortable for students

Courses are very hectic and time consuming

Placement Experience:

Studenta are eligible for placements in pre final year only. They are also trained for interviews. College had placement cell named OCS which is generally manged by student representatives selected by autorities. They bridge between studenta and companies. Job fair is held every year on the fixe dtime metiones in the academaic calender. There are alot of companies visited uptill now and almost every peraon i know in my circle are placed with average package of 20 lacks anually. I am planning to get a postdic after completion of my degree.

I liked the positive students community.
I liked the alumni network of the college.
I liked the professors of the college vet much.

Dislikes

There is a lot of pressure on students for exam.
The gender ratio of the college is very bad.
The exams are hard causing stress for students.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course has a lot of options for the future. It also has good opportunities in government sector. The curriculum prepares us for real life challenges like building roads, pavements, bridges and buildings. The course should include project based learning and not promote mugging up. The quizzes are conducted monthly and are of low difficulty. The midsemester exams and end semester exams are harder.

Likes

I like the student community. It is full of competent students who push me to try harder.
The alumini network of the college is really good.
The infrastructure of the college is really good.

Dislikes

The mess food is not up to the mark. It should be more nutritious.

Course Curriculum Overview:

This course has good future aspects. The course work is light and does not cause much stress. There are also a lot of government jobs in this branch. The course prepares the students for real world challenges like designing roads, buildings, pavements, bridges etc. The course should focus more on project-based learning with less focus on mugging up answers. The quizzes are conucted every month along with a mid semester exam and an end semester exam. The quizzes are of low difficulty and the semester exams are generally a liitle harder.

How are the IIT Delhi hostel rooms?

The IIT Delhi hostel rooms are very comfortable and make you feel at home. The names of IIT Delhi hostels are based on the names of hill ranges of India- Aravali, Girnar, Himadri, Jwalamukhi, Kailash, Karakoram, Kumaon, Nilgiri, Satpura, Shivalik, Udayagiri, Vindhyachal and Zanskar. All the hostel rooms are two-seater. All the rooms are equipped with beds and almirahs. Water coolers are allowed inside the rooms during the summer season.
