The best college for placements

Likes

The placement of this college is the best thing I like.
The sports facilities are also good and there is every sport club for ever sports
I also like the faculty they are good and supportive

Dislikes

The thing I dislike is the infrastructure but I think it will improve a lot it coming years years
There are also less food stall present in our college but the food stall that are present is providing good quality food

Placement Experience:

The college is well known for its placement and it might be the best nit for placement. Every year 250 companies visited. The highest offer was 81 lpa and avg is 16 lpa. 100 % of students get placed this year.

Likes

The clean campus of NIT Jamshedpur very much it is one of the cleanest campus
Infrastructure of NIT Jamshedpur is also very good
Jamshedpur has a very green campus which has a lot of trees

Dislikes

The college is very much far from the city
Campus size also very small and it is open campus

Placement Experience:

The campus placement of this college is one of the best average placement of this college is also among the top of the nits and the average package for computer science is ever 25 lakhs per annum and it is a very good

NIT Jamshedpur-The Underrated NIT

Likes

Senior interaction and clubs engagement.
Lush green campus with cleaners everywhere.
Exceptionally outstanding placement performance.

Dislikes

Campus size is huge but not much land is useful.
Institute is far from the main city of Jamshedpur.
In time for girls is 9:00 pm but not other restriction.

Placement Experience:

NIT Jamshedpur has an exceptionally outstanding placement performance. Even its lowest branch is metallurgical and Materials Engineering has a pleasing in the placement statistics. The highest package is of an Ece student grabbing 82 lpa.

Likes

Healthy Senior junior interaction seniors are ready to help and guide there juniors at any hour.

Dislikes

First year hostels and mess are the things which I disliked.

Course Curriculum Overview:

This course is currently required in all major cities of the world. Faculty: student ratio is better since the Ph.D. scholars also assist the students. The faculty here are highly qualified and Ph.D. holders.

The good, the bad and the beautiful

Likes

Classrooms and the acadamic building are too good.
Fee structure is less when you take fee remission
Students are from variety of states and hence environment is good

Dislikes

Boys to girls ratio is too low which is a bad thing.
Teaching style of professors are bad and exams are bad too

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course because it has good placement. Faculty to student ratio is good enough. Facilities are qualified but some of them lack the skill to teach. Exams are timely and it is too easy to pass.

Likes

The hostels are double seating and we will get single seater hostel in second year.
The campus is very clean and there is a lot of greenery.
There are various competitions with lots of cash prizes.

Dislikes

The campus is open so outsiders enter somtimes.
The campus is little small so we cannot explore our college.
The course structure is very difficult to cope up with

The Faculty members are very supportive and knowledgeable. They are very friendly and clarify all our doubts. They take extra classes and resolve our doubts. They give special attention to weak students. The exams are taken on time.

Campus life is very good and I enjoy it very much

The faculty members are very good and have very in-depth knowledge and master of their subjects and can solve any doubt in seconds. The professors are very nice and not rude they try to help us in every way.

Likes

All the fests including sports, technical and cultural.
The location and the lush green campus .
The hostel rooms after 1st year. (single room with balcony)

Dislikes

Crowd is not that metropolitan so it may be hard to fit in
The management of events is not that proper.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose the metallurgical and materials engineering branch as I was interested in materials science and chemistry. Faculties are experts in their respective fields and are good at delivering information and knowledge. The exams conducted are moderate with relatively easier grading.

Likes

The campus is full of greenery and is very neat.
The clubs have very high competition and we get nice exposure.
The faculty is very supportive and friendly

Dislikes

There is a lack of proper maintenance and sometimes it is bad.
The campus is not totally closed and outsiders enter sometimes
Due to nearby industries there is a lot of pollution

The faculty members are very supportive and they are very knowledgeable. They clarify all our doubts and are very friendly. They take extra doubt classes for difficult topics of the subject. All over they are always there. There are semester-wise exams, and internal exams are held.

My friend recently graduated from NIT Jamshedpur. Here is her review.

Location: The campus is located in Adityapur, surrounded by industries. It is a bit away from Tatanagar Railway Station. Since Jamshedpur doesn’t have an airport the best way to reach the campus is from Ranchi via NH-33.

Infrastructure-wise: Both the hostels and the computer centers are revamped. The main buildings of the campus are still under further development but are expected to be in maintenance soon. However, the mega hostels, known as J & K, are an enhanced sight of the campus.

Academics

The quality of professors or the methodology of their teaching is quite not up to the mark. Few professors of the institute somewhat still follow the old pedagogy and are sometimes not cooperative. On contrary, the newly appointed Ad-hoc faculties are supportive and are willing to guide students.
Students of the institute perform well in competitive examinations. Many made it to IITs, IIMs, or various international institutes as well.
The Central Workshop and laboratories, substantially Fluid, Thermodynamics, and Metallurgical are not quite well maintained.

The TechnoManagement fest, Ojass, and Cultural fest, Culfest are the major events of the institute. There are several automobile teams as well, like Team Phoenix, the aircraft team; Team Rays, the hybrid car team and Team Daksh, Off road car team.
