Life At Kristu Jayanti College, Bengaluru!

Likes

Campus Life is really amazing, it's very refreshing to walk around the parks and gardens after a busy day.
The college chapel is really peaceful if you want an escape from the rush of assignments and attendance.
You meet some of the most intellectual people here to befriend with.

Dislikes

Some teachers are really very particular about discipline, any minor inconveniences could lead to them not giving attendance.
The code of conduct sometimes feel suffocating, for every other thing you have to write a letter to HOD and get their signature.
The college canteen and stationary are managed by people who are biased. They provide service to those who speak their native language then they will serve you.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for placement in 3rd year. Many companies visit the campus, some of them are Amazon, Microsoft, Cognizant,Dell etc. The average package last year was 6.5LPA for BCA. The job profiles majorly are data analyst, software engineer etc. Personally, my plans are to aim for a higher package and time for developing more skills so I'll be pursuing masters too.

The facilities are experienced and are teaching well.
Placements are good mainly for cse ise branches
Campus is not too big but still i liked it so that we can communicate woth seniors and reach to everyone.

Dislikes

They are not concentrating about projects and extra courses.
I think lab should need little bit improvement.

Placement Experience:

Placements are good mainly for IT related courses. And average package is around 6to 7 LPA. I came here in the intention of grtting placed in the college campus only. From 5th semester you can get internships as well as placements.

All about vijaya college .

Likes

Experienced , knowledgeable and friendly faculties .
It provides a spacious infrastructure with labs, library, gym and cultural committees .

Dislikes

There is no proper management of the infrastructure .
There is no parking facility for four wheelers .

Placement Experience:

In this college , placements are only offered for final year students . The probability of students getting placements through this college is 60% percentage only . The highest package offered through companies from placements through this college is 4,00,000 .

The teaching and non teaching staff is also very friendly
The needed equipment is also provided from the college itself

The college placement is quite good and impressive, the company and the tie ups are also with international company like rockstar, disney, ubisoft, etc ... Our college gives a very good placement and goo package

The college has a library which is at most important for every student
The college lecturers are very kind and polite
The college principal is very supportive

Dislikes

Classrooms are little bit small and i think it could have be done large
The college does not have big compound for any program
The timetable once shown can change at any time is not good

Placement Experience:

The placements are offered according to the student behaviour and the results...The placement are offered in the 5th semester and 6th sem...Once the students are selected they are said to meet physically and interview is taken

Likes

This college has vending machine in the first floor which is very good
Supportive staffs and helpfull people around you
Well qualified teachers and teachs well, understandable

Placement Experience:

Here you get 100% placement has there is a specific room for the placements you will only get placements after second semester which is very good till then you will be knowing 2 to 3 software, where u can make money

A Great Platform for Academic Research and Growth

Campus Life: Vibrant with clubs, fests and events.

Placements: Good opportunities with top recruiters.

Dislikes

Hostel Facilities: Food and infrastructure need improvement.
Administration: Slow processing of documents and fee.
Curriculum: More industry-relevant courses needed.

Placement Experience:

Placements at my college: Placements at my college begins from 5th semester. Several reputed companies visit the campus, including Facebook, Google etc.. The highest package offered is around 100000 rupees, while the average package is approximately around 20000 rupees per month. The placement persentage varies each year, But typically about 50 percent of students secure jobs through placements. For those who do not get placed, the college provides guidance for higher studies and research opportunities. Personally, I plan to do higher studies.

My life at my college

Likes

We have very friendly and good subject knowledge teachers
The atmosphere of the college is good, ecofriendly and standard culture
Apart from studies the college also encourage us to participate in sports, inter and intra college fest etc

Dislikes

Class timings are tightly scheduled with less breaks
No ethinic wears are allowed in class except the celebration venue
Continuous lab hours for almost 4 hours.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I love for Maths is the main reason I choose this subject. The curriculum prepares me to think different way of research work and how we can apply each and every concepts of maths in real life applications. In maths the only method to teach is using chalk and blackboard no new techniques are required. The examination timing and the level of examination is quite good for end semester. But for midsemester the timing is little short with great difficult questions

Overall review of National College Jayanagar

Likes

Since it's autonomous the attendance isn't a issue and exam paper are quite easy
There is a lot exposure to sports not team games but individual ones
It has very huge ground which isn't utilised properly

Dislikes

Washroom aren't hygiene any time , there is no water supply at most of the Times
Faculty is not upto the mark , they keep taunting students
Management sucks , principal doens't make his decision, he/she is doll made play by the superiors , and principal keep changing every six months.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this college because of NCC because the achivements and discipline of cadets was good. And few senior's warned me about this college.for sports there are hell lotof opportunities but College doens't support you in any kind. Coming to curriculum it has basic teaching doesn't prepare you for real projects we should learn all by ourselves. Evn lab aren't that great we have all old computer which do not work properly. We have very well quipped lab but they gave it enginnering block which was started recently.

I Like The Way, They Support Us For Intercollege Events.
They Allow money Back Scheme, For Intercollege Comepetitions

Dislikes

I Would Say, You Can Learn Everything On Your Own, Cause Some Of Teachers Are Pathetic At Teaching
Majorly Staff Behaviour Is Not Pleasant. Some Of Them Act Arogantly

Im Mosty Into Programming Stuff But I Lack The Essence Of Mathematics So, BCA Was Perfect For Me, My Curriculam Prepares Me For Developing Real World Applications, I Would Suggest That They Allow Some Students to Learn From Home. The Timing of Exam Is Based On The BCU(Banglore City University) Although The Exams Are Balanced In Difficulty

According to the reviews online, Bangalore University (BU) is an average university and is known to be deteriorating day by day.

Students are irritated by their evaluation system.
They tend to check the answer sheets carelessly.
The faculty never completes the syllabus.
The announcement of results is delayed quite often.
The condition of the campus is deteriorating and no action is taken to solve it.
There is a lack of core technical subjects in B.Com.

It is suggested that you do not go for BU, as it won't provide learning and understanding courses, topics and the concepts. It will be better if you opt for VTU instead.
