A Review on The Oxford College of Science

Likes

The college looks good and is spread in wide area
Good infrastructure with a 3 different buildings connected
Cleanliness is maintained and has lift facilities

Dislikes

Teachers are not qualified enough to teach the respective subjects
Most of the teachers could not speak or understand English
No proper working computers and no projectors in classrooms

Course Curriculum Overview:

There is no fixed time table throughout the semester. The time table keeps changing every month or two. Internal exams are not conducted properly. More than one exams are taken per day which will make the students loose concentration and interest towards a subject.

Likes

Teachers, Studio, infrastructure, and campus.

Dislikes

Strict on attendance, few equipment in stuido needs to be maintained.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Practical based approach, more exposure to practicality helped me later to choose what i have to do in future. They help us in internship as well, which is wonderful feature. Curriculum is good so for, they may explore keeping few books

Boring college life

Likes

I liked the auditorium infrastructure it was very big.

Dislikes

Apart from that i didn't like anything it feels very boring to go to college and attend the classes
There are no interesting classes conducted they just concentrate on the syllabus

Placement Experience:

We are given placements in different reputed companies like Concentrix, Dell, HP, Infosys, Canada life, Reliance etc., The package starts from 35,000 pm and goes upto 1,00,000 pm but not everyone gets such good packages. Around 40% of the people get recruited every year. I have a plan of starting my own start up company.

Likes

Many students appreciate diverse programs and major that allow for exploration and specialization in their fields of interest
Access to libraries, study lounges, laboratories, and technology helps students thrive in their studies
Engaging and supportive faculty members who are approachable and willing to help students succeed academically often make a significant positive impact

Dislikes

Their is no effectiveness of the placement services and support provided for career advancement
Unreliable Wi-Fi or outdated it infrastructure
Old , poorly maintained buildings and equipment can hinder the learning experience

the bcom curriculum is designed to cpmlement professional qualifications life CA ,ACCA,CMS,CS,CFS students can prepare for these certications alongside their degree . exams are often scheduled in march -april and november - december internal tests , project submissions, and practicals are spaced throughout the semester

Likes

college environment & culture are good high quality tools
Teacher are good and fine they will give and share there high knowledge
Freindly environment and good atmoshphere management also behave in respective manner

Dislikes

not a given placement and given fake promise regarding placement
internship also not provided industrial visit and trips also given by college but not satisfied
no labs are given and compared to other colleges costly

the course is offered with suitable industry needs and teaching is also done practically teaching done and nice teaching and syllabus are cleared before 20 day exam easily we can easily pass exam extra classes are taken for revision

i have joined the youth red cross on our college
teaching method is very good i an satisfied with that

Dislikes

there is no improvement on our college till day
there are not giving fast response to the students or parents
they are not responding on exam time also

i am choosing a very good course which i have planned in previous year and I passed each and every subject because of their teaching experience is very good and they encourage a government exams also.

Likes

Faulty and good atmosphere and very good study
Nice placements and good training sections
Hostel is very good nice food that very important

Dislikes

Nothing is there to say everything is ok
Placements are some less to some departments
Hostel food has some poor maintenance but ok

My course was very good BCA the bachelor of computer applications that we had in the college very good to see this as the very good life in the future every one join in our course and the course is excellent

I liked some lectures they were amazing and smart
I liked my fellow batchmate which they helped me a lot
I liked the teaching methods of the teachers

Dislikes

I didn't like the infrastructure and facilities provided by them
The bathroom were too dirty and there were no seats of bathroom
The canteen food is worst I didn't liked that as they charge

I didn't choose this course my relatives suggest this to me and I hate it and did not like it there were no sports ground and no physical activity and I didn't like it the course was worst and some students they won't respect

STUDENT LIFE IS THE BEST LIFE ENJOY IT

Likes

We had a great teachers there almost all had Phd in their departments very supportive .
The library was too good they had all the courses book with different authors.
For each lab class only 15 students were there in each batch which was very nice to learn individually.

Dislikes

Though some had PhD we couldn't understand their teaching especially in physics .
we didn't had a proper student lounge with seating should sit on the grounds and study , read or write which was not good.
Since i took science we were not allowed to be a part of any activities conducted by college and even if we like to participate attendance were not given so we were left out from other activities.

Placement Experience:

We had so many companies came for placement but we are allowed to select in only any 2 companies because so the others can join through placement which was wrong. after our placement selection also we have to go for the company for furthur rounds if so what that need of doing placement.

According to the reviews online, Bangalore University (BU) is an average university and is known to be deteriorating day by day.

Students are irritated by their evaluation system.
They tend to check the answer sheets carelessly.
The faculty never completes the syllabus.
The announcement of results is delayed quite often.
The condition of the campus is deteriorating and no action is taken to solve it.
There is a lack of core technical subjects in B.Com.

It is suggested that you do not go for BU, as it won't provide learning and understanding courses, topics and the concepts. It will be better if you opt for VTU instead.
