A Holistic Campus Experience: Balancing Academics, Social Life, and Growth

Likes

Lectures are good they way they give example is good
Most of the lectures have experience in abroad working based on that they will teach us
College timing is good lectures are friendly

Dislikes

Washroom need to be fixed they have to provide more washroom
In the washroom there is no periods pads available
They have to include MBA for all the programs

Placement Experience:

From 3rd semester we will get opportunity for placement there are lot of companies which come for finance and marketing as of now we have got KPMG concentrix many more students should get 60% placement sir is good my plan is to get in to job

Teachers and teaching with dept knowledge and skills
Library and campus are very good which include stationery
Bus stop is near so you can get the bus easily

Dislikes

There no cultural programmes and shows or events
There is no annual day or sports day for the students
There is campus recruitment or interview

Course Curriculum Overview:

Specific aspects to choose the course are accounts, income tax and GST which helped me to in my field of working The areas where they need improvement is field visit or industrial area visit for more practical learning Mostly we will have 2final exams each year according to the faculty it was good for that year

Placement Experience:

From 2nd year the students can apply. Still I am in 1st year so didn't get any campus selection Highest package is about 500000/ annum. Lowest package is about 100000/ annum. Almost out of 100,75% of students are getting placements. Planning to join for a software company.

I have liked the campus and the teaching staff.
I like canteen and the ambiance and well maintained. The food is good .
I like the library which is very broad and peaceful.

Dislikes

I don't like the strict rules that are in this college.
I don't like the crowded canteen as it will always be crowded and noisy.
Other than those two everything is good in this college.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I have always loved Commerce more than Science and Arts. As there are many opportunities in the future we have many opportunities compared to a Science or Arts students. The course is good and easy to understand.

The nightmare

Likes

The campus and the classrooms where very huge.
Also I got good friends who helped in many possible ways .
Some of the lectures where good who helped in many ways

Dislikes

I didn’t like the principal who never supported the sirens
Many teachers showed partiality and favoured their students
The seniors where not soo helpful in assignments

Course Curriculum Overview:

As I was in computer science we had many mock practical exams so that we would be more knowledgeable in programming and codings such as python, java , c , R programming also there were weekly class texts and sem exams.

Likes

The diversity in the college is very much. There is not much gender stereotypes and it's pretty much inclusive. And also there is anti ragging cell, sexual harrasment cell etc.
The library is quite big and comfortable. But there are issues with wifi at time but I think they will make it better.
The student teacher relationships. I dont know about other departments but in social work department it's much more free and easy to contact with the mentors.

Dislikes

There is so much steps in the college. Like everything is here and there. It was pretty much confusing as a beginner.
Magis canteen gets full around lunch time. Sometimes the lunch hour and study hour gets crashed coz of this.
Teachers in the other departments are not much likeable. Some of them are judgemental based on the courses. Especially science teachers.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Oh the exposure we get on field is much more educative than in the class. The rural camp, tribal visit and the fieldworks has given me a lot of exposure both personally and professionally. Most of the things that we are taught in class has to be performed or applied in the field, which makes us more educated. But in the beginning everything was pretty hard to e figured out but I got the hang of it. And the mentors are most likely willing to help and assist.

College has many skill developing activities to make us corporate ready example: pep life skill it helps us to develop communication skills
college also focuses in physical fitness and has separate session on it
More events will be happening there's always something exciting going on in our college

Light and prosperity.

Likes

The campus is extremely eco-friendly as it is filled with lush green trees and plants, we also have a park coined as the "Oxygen Park" due to the presence of many trees
Campus life is very happening since one can engage in multiple activities including indoor and outdoor play arenas.
The cleanliness and the proper management of waste in and around the college is something I appreciate the most.

Dislikes

In my opinion the canteen area is a bit less spacious which is something to look upon.
The college gym requires maintenance and good lighting.
College parking was not as accessible as it should be due more number of heads.

Placement Experience:

Students can approach placements in their 5th semester and the eligibility varies every year but the eligibilty is basically the attendance and the total gpa of previous semesters. Companies like EY, Delloite, Amazon, ICICI bank and many more come in with their offers ranging from 4.5lpa to 9lpa

Use of slides, ppt, and other engaging sessions like talk shows and guest lectures
Clean campus, books are easily available in libraries. Frequent programs to engage students.
Good faculty members, specially english department

Placement Experience:

By the end of the 2nd semester, we are constantly notified about any vacancies in any department. The college placement cell sends us notifications through our class monitors or sometimes throyoutlr HOD. Even after the end of our final semester exam, we are added in a group that is specially meant for job opportunities and placements, where they constantly update and notify us. Out of 32 students in our class, a total of 12 students got placement. As for me, my plan is to do PhD in the said field.

The campus is very spacious and there is much space to chill after your classes
The campus has a lot of greenery to take good oxygen
The campus has a big ground and basketball court to play sports

Dislikes

The parking facilities is not good and you cannot park the vehicles outside the college
There is a chaos in canteen during break time
There is a college gym inside campus which is very small

Placement Experience:

From 5th semester students become eligible for campus placements..the criteria is you should not be having any backlogs in core subjects in previous sems..Icici Banks,Accenture,Clix Capital etc are some of the companies that visited..The highest package is 7l and average package is 6l.. around 60percent of students are placed.. my plan after getting the degree is to complete my master's which is mba

According to the reviews online, Bangalore University (BU) is an average university and is known to be deteriorating day by day.

Students are irritated by their evaluation system.
They tend to check the answer sheets carelessly.
The faculty never completes the syllabus.
The announcement of results is delayed quite often.
The condition of the campus is deteriorating and no action is taken to solve it.
There is a lack of core technical subjects in B.Com.

It is suggested that you do not go for BU, as it won't provide learning and understanding courses, topics and the concepts. It will be better if you opt for VTU instead.
