Scholarship like post-matric scholarship, e-medhbruti, kalia scholarship etc are available.
Teachers are well, good and caring. they make us feel like a school.
I like many things in my college. our class room is awesome . i do like very much.. our library is such a good library.

Dislikes

I don't like many things in college. Such worse environment in our college. Always people try to quarrel in with us.
Food of the canteen is very bad also not a single shop is in the 125acres of campus
There is always problem on water and electricity

Affordable Fees. Opportunities in sports , cultural, cocurricular and life embracing activities like blood donation or clean drives. Area nearby as it's more of a University not just a college it has facilities. Fests tech fests are more often
I am a part of the sports club for cricket. I had participated in all the events for a tech fest.
Faculties vary branch wise and their methodologies are also different accordingly. Placement is really good like for a 100% . Infrastructure is still on developing stage.

Dislikes

I didn't like the infrastructure a lot as there are still a lot of loopholes or lackings
Again faculty are a bit more of themselves like not really polite or are helpful and understanding and experienced
I couldn't explore my talent of singing and writing here as they enjoy these more in competition not just for fun

Third year itself is the Placement year as more start ups and internships happen and also companies love to recruit freshers. Companies like L&T ACCENTURE SCALE EDGE AMAZON GOOGLE MICROSOFT have made numerous offers for example last time L&T made about 61.7 % Placement. Overall each student gets placed here. My plans after the degree is to pursue a side course along with my job as Journalism was a dream to me

I choose cse general because in that course we have to get more knowledge.I want to become software engineer that's why I choose the cse general. I have so much interest to join in cse so I choose that course

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum of the giet university is more updated in comparison to other collages of odisha. They start with c language in 1st semester and DSA from 2nd semester onwards. All cycle test 1 and 2 occurs between one and a half month gap and semester exam occurs after the 1 months of cycle test 2

Nist University is perfect

Likes

Campus is good and there are a lot of gardens present.
Labs are good and they provide practical work experience.
Faculties are good and modern they teaches well.

Dislikes

Assignments they give a lot of Assignments which gave to write in hand.
They give a lot of record work which also have to write in hand.
Exams are too boring and 3 hours of exams.

Placement Experience:

They provide a lot of placements but now a day they provide most of in call center works which have low package along with that they provide technical placements but the number is less. The highest package is 23 lakh and average package is 6 lakh. In nist 70 to 80% students get placed.

Environment is good , academically strict
Good infrastructure, skylab is there for students
Good library very spacious, stationary stores

Dislikes

Small campus and mostly non AC classrooms
Wifi connection is very poor in peak hours
Event organization can be improved a bit

The lab practicals are good labs are well arranged and has all the required equipments. Lab is the best place in silicon university to gain actual knowledge the lab faculties are really co operative and helpful.

I would rate five out of five about the curriculum of the giet university because it is more updated in comparison of other universities of odisha. The exams are taken in the gap of one and a half month. There is no need to update the curriculum

I like the outside place and market like JJ and BN
I like the campus and the beauty of mountains
I like the hostel and mess the food is so good

The curriculum of this university is updated and they conduct regularly test. The timing for 2 cycle tests is about one and a half month and the semester exam is conducted after 2nd cycle test. The level of exam is quite good and anyone can secure Good marks if they try hard

Affordable things comes with a price as well.

Likes

It's a really affordable college as it's a government college
Seniors were very co-operative regarding any problem
We have various college clubs for extra curricular activities

Dislikes

Infrastructure is not so great and could have been a lot better.
It's a tier-3 college so placement scenario is not so great either
We don't really have top notch facilities in our hostels or college

Placement Experience:

From the end of 6th sem students become eligible for campus placements. Many companies have visited our campus such as Deloitte, L&T, Cisco, TCS, Accenture, Cognizant etc. Highest package was offered by cisco of about 20,00,000. Average package would be about 4,00,000. About 60% students are placed in my batch till now. My plan is for preparing for GATE exam and pursuing higher studies.

Faculty members are good, they are kind as well as they teach good.
Campus infrastructure is good and it has greenery everywhere which is also good.
Clubs are also good , there are benefits as it improves our resume also and club members are also friendly and kind and respectful

Dislikes

There's no fest at all , campus life is very boring
Food at cafeteria is really costly because of which we are unable to afford it.
there's a biased system like girls don't have freedom at all whereas boy's can do whatever they want

Placements are good here, I don't know much about it because right now I'm in first year only. But according to seniors the placement training starts from 3rd or 2nd year as compared to the course duration and even they have on campus and off campus placement also and the avg placement in of 4 lac.

Life at GIET

Likes

The location is very good and beautiful and we can get anything easily
The nearby market is so good and we can go outside without any permission anytime we want to go we can
The professor are soo good they provide us right information and complete the slybus before time

Dislikes

Admestrative is not so good they will help you but first they will count your mistake
For fees management is so strict if not paid on time then mane from attendance list will be cut sown
The campus is small and feel croudy whenever you will go for walk

The curriculum of the university ig good they taught us DSA from 2md sem only which is very much helpful in future The timing for exam is good means for cycle test 1 and 2 we get approx 1and half month of time and after class test 2 we get 1 month for semester exam
