Likes

Scholarships were available to students who scored first few ranks in the entrance exams, which were a great deal of help to them also, there are internships available through our mentors which is of great help.
Faculty are very good they teach well and they are very experienced with experience of 20 years, and fests happens every month and facilities are very good here like gym gardens library etc and place is very good
There are so many clubs like dance club, science club, maths club, etc and main beauty of the campus are very green and freedom of entry and exit anytime.

Dislikes

Firstly conduction of the entrance was very poor by nta.
At last the canteens. the foods of the canteens are ok but sometimes it too worst
I had a plan to do phd too but due to the academic stress and low facilities that this university is providing, i started to lose my interest on the subject.

Life at Pondicherry University

Likes

The university has an excellent library which gives us the opportunity to know more about the subject we are learning. The reading room is also very apt for silent learners and it is air conditioned which is really handy during the hotter days.
The Professors of the Earth Science department are really nice and knowledgeable about the specific subject they are teaching and their research areas are also quite interesting enabling students to explore their area of interests.
The campus life is quite nice with a variety of programs organized by the students of different departments and is great to socialize with the students of other fields.

Dislikes

The infrastructure is pretty old and the roads inside the university are in poor conditions. Maintenance is poor.
The administration is getting really bad with the unnecessary hike in fees and the introduction of NEP caused lots of difficulties for the students as it was not in an organized manner.

Placement Experience:

ONGC recruits students through their exam which can be prepared through guidance from Professors and books from library. Also, Isro is a great option for students going for research. Students can also study abroad through the letters of recommendations.

Good campus life is offered by Pondicherry university

Dislikes

Academic is good but not good as i expected
Hostel mess food is actually a mess here. Not all time but certain time we can't have food from mess
Adminstration system is little bit weaker here.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Curriculum is good here. But it has been changed for us That is little bit tough actually. The curriculum is really helpful for real world access. I had improvement in the areas of physical chemistry and inorganic chemistry because of new curriculum

About international business department

Likes

It's central university so it's degree will be impactful for future in that amount of fees.
There are very diverse environment, many people from different states.
Faculty are very good, they having expertise in thier field.

Dislikes

Like when they starting spot round they enroll many student who having numbers in single digit.
Mess food quality is very bad because of caterer.
Road quality is not good due to this accident happen.

In international business specialy, not good in placement because of large crowd and less effort of placement cell, last year highest placement of 15 lakh , but maximum 7-8 people get placed , hope they improve this

Truths of Pondicherry university (PU)

Likes

Environment and ambiance. This university is about 800 acres which gives enough space to attain peace.
Night life of PU is considered as one of the best. Universities gate 2 is open for 24 hours which gives enough independence to the students.
Our professors are well trained and have alot of experience, which plays a vital role in development of student's

Dislikes

Students are selfish and doesn't behave properly with other state students.
Political parties play a vital role in this administration which i didn't like. Everytime they are protesting for thier basic needs and questioning the authority.

Placement Experience:

There are placement opportunities in my department and in my university. Different departments have different MOUs from different Companies. Helping in the employment of the students and if you wanna prepare for competitive exams you are left out from that placements according to your wish.

Better university for peaceful mind to focus on education

Likes

Department ambience, structures and management
Night life in university and campus environment
Department events and cooperation of every student

Dislikes

Need to improve the teaching techniques and improvement of lab
Need to change the mess facilities and community
Canteens in the university need to be open 24/7 for the students studying late night till 3AM

Placement Experience:

Students need to finish the course then they will be eligible for the campus placements. The average package is around 400000 pa to 600000 pa. Placements are offered on the basis of the students percentage.

Likes

Campus of the college Quite good and safe for women
faculty's of Mathematics department are well Qualified and highly educated and they complete the course on time
Infrastructure is quite old And The size of the classroom is Quite small .

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course because because it covers both theory and practical skills. the course helps me in learning deep knowledge of mathematics which i will be using in my future in getting better job opportunity. It could include Languages course So that students could get the knowledge about Computer programming. Exam are held regularly and are manageable .

Students stomach burn

Likes

Library and reading are very useful. Our reading is open at midnight 3 o clock too. If someone need to study without disturbing their roomates they can go to reading room
In our university, it's easy to make new friends. From them we can learn new culture and tradition
Here for every department they only consider their students, if any students from other dept take a softcore in their dept, they won't get respect. Not in every department.

Dislikes

For here there are many security drunk on their duty time
Mess food are worst here, wasting our money, and spend more money on eating outside too

Course Curriculum Overview:

Here I see many protests and rally etc.. for against manuly problems recently we see, like a silent candle rally for Kolkata rape case for the female doctor. Collecting donations for wayanad incident.

The campus and facilities is really wonderful
The environment helps us to study or be more focused
The staff and the people are very friendly and kind

Dislikes

There is a lack of classrooms in the sociology dept
I don't really like the way of teaching as it is less interactive
The transportation inside the campus could be better

The curriculum does not really help a lot in real world applications. The teaching methods could be improved with more interaction between the faculty and the students, some ways the curriculum could be better is having the students voice their opinion.

Environment is good .there is no restriction
There is no ragging culture.senior cannot force junior
Faculty is very good all the professor and staff are friendly

Food is not it's very difficult to adjust here
Transportation system is not good.this is very important issue
There is not proper sanitary system in hostel

I am not interested in this course but after one year I started liking this course because of professors.still theory class is like old system but I like pratical class and geology is all about practical

My beautiful campus

Likes

800 acres its the total area of the campus,
Campus including boys and girls seprate gym ,
Health centre, bank , Post office ATM, Tea shops inside the campus

Dislikes

Less maintenance of roads, buildings , and plumbing, electrical works
Irresponsible administration, no unity between staffs
No correct control over staffs, and others officers

Course Curriculum Overview:

In Political Science course it's very wide and good curriculum is there, have high exposure, it's very good course for knowing government and administration systems , it's very useful for the people who are aiming to join politics

I Have complited my MBA from Distance in year 2021 but i received mu mark sheet and certificate with wrone name. Insted of my name they have put my father's name. So even after sending mails of like 26 times and sending DD of Rs 1100/- they have not done anything and there is no reply in mail and no one oiks up the call. I am so frustrated and loosing hope. I really dont know when this will be corrected..
