First thing i like about this campuse is its beautiful like really beautiful.
Here some teachers are really good and helpful which encourages for better performance in every field
Students can get so many scholarship opportunities once they join this institute like for students living in jk or students with good cgpa.

Dislikes

Professors are not that good as expected,need to understand concepts from youtube
This is quite difficult to afford for a middle class family but there are fee waiver also
Hostels are not that good and have only fans not even cooler so it is difficult in summers washrooms are also not well mantained food is also not that good overall hostels are very unhygienic and are not well mantained

A genuine review by IT student

Likes

Greenery is quite good here and many trees like guava and other are large in number.
Students are very competitive. Specially in IT branch we have to compete with CSE and ECE students.
Placement is good and one can rely on it.

Dislikes

Accommodation is limited so sometimes people coming from other far way states don't get rooms.
Less internship opportunities and less companies come on campus for internship
75% attendance criteria is really very bad and it should be less.

let's talk about placements at NITJ, it's a decent level. Not very high and not very low. Students become eligible for campus placements in the 7th semester i.e. fourth year. Many big companies visit our campus for placements. Some of them are Amazon, Microsoft, Adobe, Goldman Sachs, American Express, Samsung, etc.

NIT Jalandhar College Experience Review

Likes

Placement is good and that is what I like most
Campus is beautiful , a varieties of flowers are here.
Computer labs and other labs are quite good and well equipped with amenities.

Dislikes

75% attendance criteria should be removed.
mess food can be more better . If not best then at least a decent level quality , specially chapatis.
campus area should be more big but its not.

Placement Experience:

The placements are quite good here in Nitj. Many companies visit here. Students of the 5th semester (3rd year) become eligible for internships while students of the 7th semester(4th year) become eligible for placements. This year 2023 more than 110+ companies visited our campus and a total of 700+ offers were given.

NITJ is good for placements

Likes

Placements, Infrastructure, facilities for studies
Faculty is good and interactive.Campus life is good
Not much burden of studies easy to pass the exams

Dislikes

Sports facilities is not as good as it can.It misses a lot of sports.
Fests are very less only two-three per year and also for less period.
Sports tournament are not held mostly.only once or twice per year

Placement Experience:

The placements at our college are excellent. From the 7th sem companies starts to hire students for full-time offers. There are many high-tech companies namely Goldman Sachs, Google, Amazon, Flipkart, and Deshaw come here for hiring freshers. The highest package in 2023 goes at 62 lakh offered by Google and the average goes at 14-15 lakh per annum.95-96 percent of students placed.

NITJ college life

Likes

campus building and hostel facility is good .
campus greenery attracts much. and campus looks more beautifil
placement statics is good enough . and extra clubs and activities apart from study.

Dislikes

attendence required is more than 75 percent .
schedule is quite hectic havings classes from morning and labs in evening .
sometimes teachers marking is also not likable .

The students become eligible for the campus placement from the end of the 3rd year means from the end of the 6th semester students become eligible and placements on go till the last of the 8th semester. In CSE 90+ percent of students got placements. whereas in core branches also 70-80 percent of students get placed every year.

DR BR Ambedkar National Institue Of Technology (NIT JALANDHAR) Review

Likes

As it is a reputed college with good placement stats, so you don't need to hustle much for getting a placement.
There is relaxation in fees for students coming from lower income group, beside that the course fees is not too high for other students too.

Dislikes

Some teachers still use old method for teaching in classroom.

Placement Experience:

When you get into your 4th year (7th semester) you are eligible to sit in campus placements. Many MNC like amazon, Flipkart, google, microsoft, Deloitte etc. visit our campus for hiring students. On average more than 85% of students are placed from every branch. The average package offered at campus placement drives is around 7LPA with the highest package being 62LPA offered by microsoft. Most probably I will take placement from campus for now.

Things to know about NIT JALANDHAR that you need to know.

Likes

The teaching is upto the mark. There is a proper guidance by the teacher.
Different different facilities are available such as sports .
Greenery in the campus is good . Numbers of flowers and tress is there with proper care .

Dislikes

It is away from the main city (jalandhar)
Few of the structures are damaged and need to be care of it.

Placement Experience:

In NIT JALANDHAR a number of students were placed and a very good package was offered. At the end of the degree which is in the fourth year of btech, students are ready to get placed and with good skills and marks get placed during the placement process. If I talk about last year's placement which is 1.1 crore from Microsoft. A number of companies come to our campus for instance Microsoft, Google, Facebook etc . Different types of companies come here few of them are product base and others are service based along with a good package. A number of offers were made last year and around 980 students were placed. There are a lot of things that we can see on the website of nitj . If I talk about the average package it is about 6 lakh.

Greenary of this institute, hygiene of mess.
Cleaning, maintenance of hostel and campus
Smart lecture theatre, well equipped with the modern technology

Dislikes

Events, mainly tech events, rude nature of professor
Department labs, consumes your whole day in a silly work

Placement Experience:

The placement is really excellent here, CS, and IT enjoy so a beautiful placement. Other branches are also having very good placement scenarios. The average package of this institute is nearly 12 Lpa. Generally, 50-60% of students do eligible for interviews.

Likes

The mess menu and rates are very reasonable and quality of food is also good.
The people are very friendly in nature and helping.
The dance club in which i am is also very good, i have got many things to learn and we go to other colleges as well for competitions etc.

Dislikes

The guards are very strict and you can't roam at private places with your girl in the college.
The Gender ratio is very low , too many boys and few girls.

Placement Experience:

You can intern in any sem according to you, but the college will get you an intership in 3rd year only and placement in 4th year. The TPO cell is pretty much active but still, the placements are not that good. We can say that the placements are decent. Many companies visit the College like wipro, Aakash, google, Dottie, etc. The avg package of the college is 6lpa. 80% placement record of the college in the last year.

Exam pattern pattern with 2 minor exams in a day but this year it is changed

Being an NIT placement is very good. In every branch placement rate is more than 85% with good average packages. I'll personally go for placement initially and simultaneously prepare for PSU and other exams.

Pros and cons of college

Likes

The campus is very beautiful and best place to relax and study.
The hostel are very good and comfortable.
The food in the mess is healthy and delicious.

Dislikes

The attendence required is more than 75%.
Extra classes during holidays is sometimes not good.
The teachers sometimes do strict marking.

Placement Experience:

Students get placement in the third and fourth years. The placement varies according to different branches. ECE has the highest placed students from our college which is 2 crore per annum. I am preparing for a job in the technical field which is to become a software developer.

Mechanical in NIT Jalandhar:

4-5 senior faculty members are excellent. Every ad-hock is very poor and useful in any way. Undergraduate research opportunities are limited, but you can participate in mechanical teams and learn a lot at international-level competitions and race events, or you can start your own. Self-knowledge is the only source of knowledge. If you want, you can get the most out of your knowledge and experience by leaving here. In terms of numbers, placement is excellent. For a long time, the campus has been dominated by PSUs and automobile companies. This includes excellent companies involved in the core design, the power sector, and the energy sector. They don't go there very often, but the overall placement is excellent.

CSE: Students have good grades and get good jobs as a result of the market boom. Some students are very good learners who work hard for their studies and knowledge, but this type of student is between the ages of 8 and 10. The remaining 80 people dance, sing, and participate in other activities.

ECE: Faculty members are friendly and helpful. Students are exceptional. Placements are good, and some students study the entire CSE curriculum to get the job. If you want to come here, you must choose with your mind, consider all aspects, and think wisely.
