First thing i like about this campuse is its beautiful like really beautiful.
Here some teachers are really good and helpful which encourages for better performance in every field
Students can get so many scholarship opportunities once they join this institute like for students living in jk or students with good cgpa.

Dislikes

Professors are not that good as expected,need to understand concepts from youtube
This is quite difficult to afford for a middle class family but there are fee waiver also
Hostels are not that good and have only fans not even cooler so it is difficult in summers washrooms are also not well mantained food is also not that good overall hostels are very unhygienic and are not well mantained

Likes

Faculity is well experienced and strict. They are ready to help you.
Placements are very good.

Dislikes

Mess foood sometimes is very bad. Food quality is average. If you want to have sweets in diet they put them in extera.
Campus is very Small as compared to the other NIT's.

Placement Experience:

Form 7th sem they are eligible for placements. Many companies do visit like Microsoft, Flipkart, Honda, Google, AMAZONE and many more. The highest package is 1.2 Crore. The average is 6 lacs. 80-90% of students get placed. To get a good job.

Likes

Mess food is wonderful with word class chefs and multi-continental cusines.
Campus has world class sports facilities.
Professors are graduated from NITs and IITs.

Dislikes

Mess lacks hygiene with tastless and no variety in food served.
Attendance is mandatory and professors are strict about it.
Gym, Indoor gymnasium is closed on sunday.

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for placements from the 7th semester itself. Microsoft, Amazon, and many MNCs visited campus for recruitment, Approx. 90% of students were placed. I am deciding to pursue a master's after getting a degree.

Life at NIT Jalandhar

The campus is quite lush green and many things to do in campus.

Dislikes

The campus is lush green but the campus area is quite small.
The campus is quite outside the city so it takes a long time to go anywhere.

Placement Experience:

From 7th semester, students become eligible for campus placements. The Companies visited are Microsoft, Google, Honda. 90% of the students get placed in mechanical branch. Plans after getting the degree are that I want to do a government job.

Likes

The environment here is very green and all the facilities are also there.
I like the sports facilities here and the ground too: many for different games
The canteen here is good but there is also a gym and all the instruments in it.

Dislikes

The guys around here are some sailboats to stay away from
Here the work of academics is very difficult, here you have to go around to get the work done.

Placement Experience:

In our college students become eligible for campus placement in the 7th semester means companies start coming at the beginning of the 7th semester. In our college, 70% of the total students get off-campus placement and the placement ratio of different branches is different, but computer science and Electronic and communication Electronics and communication students have the highest placement

LIFE AT NITJ

Likes

Hostel life is great at NITJ. You would be interacting with a lot of great minds.
Sports ammenities are good at NITJ. You are provided facilities with all sports equipments..
Campus has good classrooms. Proper seats and lighting is arranges in lectur theatres.

Dislikes

Their is no market in vicinity of campus, so you have to travel to main market.
Mess food is unhygenic and poor in taste.
Teachers are too strict. Attendance is mandotary.

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for campus placements from the 7th semester itself. Big tech companies like Amazon and Microsoft visit campus for recruitment. The highest package offered was 1.1 Cr by Amazon for the SDE role. 90% of students were placed. My plan after getting the degree is to get the opportunity to work in an MNC.

Pros and cons About Nit J

Likes

I loved the campus. Everything is avaiable in our clz .
Extra cricular activity and placements are good
Faculies are also very well educated and helpful

Dislikes

Hostle was old but some of newly made hostle are fine

Course Curriculum Overview:

Actually, I got this branch due to low rank in jee mains. And this branch is best in placement that's why I chose that. For each and every faculties are PHD scholar .in two months there is a mid-term exam afterwards at the last end sem happens. In mechanical it is dilbit difficult to score high marks

I like the overall experience at NITJ as I have created some everlasting memories here.

Dislikes

I don't like the mess food as it's not worth the mess fee.

Placement Experience:

After generally 6th semester students are eligible for placement. Almost more than 70 companies visit our campus for Campus Placement The highest Package offered till now is 1.2 cr The average package is around 10 lpa Approximately 75% of students get placed.

Life of Btech student in NIT Jalandhar

Likes

Environment is very good here like trees.
Infrastructure is good in new buildings.
In spring season I liked the variety of flowers.

Dislikes

Bad coverage of internet services in the campus
Network is not available in building of Ice
In classroom there is no wifi available.

Placement Experience:

Placements at the National Institute of Technology Jalandhar are Decent. If no campus placement is offered students give gate exams in their core branch and then go for higher studies, PSUs, etc. That's it.

Environment of the college is superb, and extra activities conducted by clubs and societies of college always gives a positive vibes
Academics provided by faculty is well and good.
Hostels are also good and mess food is adjustable.

Dislikes

Infrastructure of some branch building's is very old.
Attendance criteria is so strict feels like a school. You have to attend minimum 75% of classes.

Generally, students start getting internships in their 5th semester and after the 6th semester companies visit for campus placement. Companies like Amazon, Google, Flipkart, Microsoft, byjus etc. Every year visits the campus for hiring students. The highest package provided by Microsoft was 62lpa and the average package provided is 15lpa. Every year approx 80% of students get placement in core companies.

Campus Life:- facilities provided to hostler at minimal cost, Infrastructure is nice.
Placement Percentage and average package is good
Courses like economics are very much useful in society and trading

Dislikes

Some of the Mess food taste is not at a good
Most of my faculty use Hindi to taught us . I am from south India , don't know much Hindi . It's sometimes become difficult to understand the concepts
Two minors exams for a semester till this year.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements from seventh semester. Last year more than fifty companies visited for recruitment. Out of 120 CSE students 113 students are placed with an average package of 16.74 lakhs per annum and the highest package is 51 lakhs per annum by Microsoft company. The recruitment companies include Google, Microsoft, Flipkart,olx,Texas instruments, Honda , Havells, luminous,adani Reliance industries limited, tata motors,HCL technologies, samsung, Allen institute,Jio, oracle, Paytm, Amazon, Bharat petroleum and many more ..

Mechanical in NIT Jalandhar:

4-5 senior faculty members are excellent. Every ad-hock is very poor and useful in any way. Undergraduate research opportunities are limited, but you can participate in mechanical teams and learn a lot at international-level competitions and race events, or you can start your own. Self-knowledge is the only source of knowledge. If you want, you can get the most out of your knowledge and experience by leaving here. In terms of numbers, placement is excellent. For a long time, the campus has been dominated by PSUs and automobile companies. This includes excellent companies involved in the core design, the power sector, and the energy sector. They don't go there very often, but the overall placement is excellent.

CSE: Students have good grades and get good jobs as a result of the market boom. Some students are very good learners who work hard for their studies and knowledge, but this type of student is between the ages of 8 and 10. The remaining 80 people dance, sing, and participate in other activities.

ECE: Faculty members are friendly and helpful. Students are exceptional. Placements are good, and some students study the entire CSE curriculum to get the job. If you want to come here, you must choose with your mind, consider all aspects, and think wisely.
