First thing i like about this campuse is its beautiful like really beautiful.
Here some teachers are really good and helpful which encourages for better performance in every field
Students can get so many scholarship opportunities once they join this institute like for students living in jk or students with good cgpa.

Dislikes

Professors are not that good as expected,need to understand concepts from youtube
This is quite difficult to afford for a middle class family but there are fee waiver also
Hostels are not that good and have only fans not even cooler so it is difficult in summers washrooms are also not well mantained food is also not that good overall hostels are very unhygienic and are not well mantained

Overview Of NIT Jalandhar

Likes

Computer Science Placements of recent years are good
If you have interest in your field you could explore more
Emergency Health Facilities are good and good hostels

Dislikes

Absolute Marking more focus on academics rather than developing skills
Most of clubs are dormant and few are working at a good scale
Curriculum is somewhat outdated and recent technologies are not taught

Placement Experience:

From the 7th semester, companies come to campus. Around 100 companies visit the campus. The highest Package was 52lpa given by Microsoft India. Most of the students of CSE, IT, And ECE get placed. My Plan is somewhat uncertain but the main focus is on campus placement.

Likes

Campus infrastructure is very good and the campus is also very green.
Classrooms and department buildings are well maintained and well equipped
College clubs and societies provide a good exposure to the people.

Dislikes

Teachers are very strict and the attendance criteria is very strictly followed.
Mess food quality is average. Although it is quite good compared to many other colleges of India.
Classes and timetable is hectic. Sometimes it gets difficult for the students to enjoy the evening time

Placement Experience:

From the seventh semester students are eligible for the campus placements. Many big companies visit the campus every year like Google, Microsoft, Oracle, Goldman Sachs, Uber, Bajaj, Intel, and Samsung. There are 166 offers above 10 lacs and 15 offers above 50 lacs. Students who pass in 2023 have a placement rate of 73.79 %. My plan after getting the degree is to get a placement offer in a good automobile company.

Placements which I liked here is best than lower and medium nit's
Good sports, clubs, enjoyment with friends
Faculty teaching,careing nature on students

Dislikes

But no recognition of medical long leave issues and no value for medical certificates for reason for leave in first year mainly.

Placement Experience:

Our campus is best for placements. Top branches get good placement. But lower branches are also getting good but compared to less than cs,ece, IT. The here minor degree is provided to learn the remaining branches' main 6 subjects. Which helps to get placement in other branch jobs. My opinion is it depends on us about placement.

As per the latest report, NIT Jalandhar recorded a 73.79 per cent placement rate for the class of 2023 till 7 March. Earlier in 2022, the nit Jalandhar recorded 81.76 per cent placement rate in the academic year 2021-2022

Exploration of NITJ through honest review

Likes

Students are very competitive and it help me to grow more.
Seniors are helpful and they organize various session for our learning purpose.
There is quite greenery in campus so a kind of pleasant view is here.

Dislikes

It is located on highway so for buying daily use thing need to go to bidhipur or City.
Internship opportunity is less and can be increased more.
Curriculum should be modified and new tech stack should be taught.

Long but useful

Life at NITJ which I never expected and able to think about
Quality of education that is being provided by our institute
The time I spent in our acting club and things that i learns from our seniors

The only thing is mess food which I never imagined that I had to eat this

I have a plan to go for higher studies and am not into placements here and I also don't have a prior knowledge abt the placements to share and I have some more time to know abt the same in future as I am in my 3rd year of btech and the placement starts in the 4th year of btech And I personally apologize for not able to help u people in this regard But as of now the convos from the seniors say that the placements are fine and we can encash the chance provided by our college

Likes

Campus life is very health here and different activities are conducted like sports, cultural, technical and i like all of them
Faculty is very good here and they are teaching with modern methods and gives practical knoledge
Placement is very good in our college and i found it very helpul for students

Dislikes

The campus is small as compared to other colleges.
There are less seats available in hostels.
Faculty is less in one or two of the departments of our college

Placement Experience:

Students are able to sit in campus placements from the 4th year(from the 7th semester). Companies like Amazon, Samsung, NVIDIA, Texas Instruments, Oracle, Accenture, and many more come to campus placements. They are giving offers to many students. About 70-80 % of students are getting placements every year.

I like the diversity of our institute students from every parts of India comes here to study which enables to interact with them and know about them.

Dislikes

Campus is not that big .Mess food quality is not that good

Placement Experience:

Our compass offer placement. Computer Science students get the highest package in our institute greater than 50 lakhs. Mechanical branches don't have packages like 50 lakhs but the placement %age is very good up to 96% and an average of 7 lakhs. Other branches also have good placement percentages.

Life in an average NIT

Likes

Security system of this college is very good. There are no issues like ragging or anything like that.
Campus is quite beautiful, also there are 3-4 canteens which are open till late night.
Overall life experience is very good at campus.

Dislikes

Library is a bit smaller and has less books compared to other colleges.
There is only one study room and that too is very small.
There is only one gym at the campus so it's very time consuming due to rush.

I chose Mechanical Engineering because I wanted to learn about machines. The faculty-student ratio is ok there are almost 450 btech students and 25-26 faculty members. Qualification for a person to become a faculty member is majorly their research work and their projects.

The placement of the college is very good currently this year placement went higher than the previous year also mechanical placement is 95 percent and the average is 8 lpa .companies like bpcl, tata Motors do visit our campus.

Mechanical in NIT Jalandhar:

4-5 senior faculty members are excellent. Every ad-hock is very poor and useful in any way. Undergraduate research opportunities are limited, but you can participate in mechanical teams and learn a lot at international-level competitions and race events, or you can start your own. Self-knowledge is the only source of knowledge. If you want, you can get the most out of your knowledge and experience by leaving here. In terms of numbers, placement is excellent. For a long time, the campus has been dominated by PSUs and automobile companies. This includes excellent companies involved in the core design, the power sector, and the energy sector. They don't go there very often, but the overall placement is excellent.

CSE: Students have good grades and get good jobs as a result of the market boom. Some students are very good learners who work hard for their studies and knowledge, but this type of student is between the ages of 8 and 10. The remaining 80 people dance, sing, and participate in other activities.

ECE: Faculty members are friendly and helpful. Students are exceptional. Placements are good, and some students study the entire CSE curriculum to get the job. If you want to come here, you must choose with your mind, consider all aspects, and think wisely.
