Allahabad university all pros and cons

Likes

The university is central and it gives more quality of education according to the fees, campus is very attractive
Mentor Quality is very good and exam is based on upsc exam (I mean the hardness of the exam)
The Teachers and professors are very talented and hardworking

Dislikes

The infrastructure is not so good, FCI building must be repaired
No smart board is available and water quality is not so good
The protest and riots may happen any day

I choose this course because the curriculum gives me benefits in upsc exam. The curriculum is very very good and also match the syllabus of upsc the teachers and professors taught us in simple and enjoying way. The necessary equipment for the class in not available in a such way, I think vc must do best in this. Exam level is medium to hard and in the yearly exam you have to give exam at once

The best campus life

Likes

Campus is good and clean. There is greenery
Classes are big and all the things are good
Courses are nice things like related to competitive exams are there

I am pursuing this degree because of mathematics. Mathematics is my favorite subject. I want to keep it on till my studies. My combination is physics chemistry and mathematics. So it is a good experience with my degree

Likes

The girls and boys ratio are almost same. Even in teachers the male female are almost same . I dont see any discrimination here
I will that social life and cultural programme is not taht great here .
The students who want to read genuinely ,this is the university for them

Dislikes

Less of other extra curricular activities is one of the main demerits.
Commerece department is the worst of all the department and very small and old .
There is no rules related to attendence of 75%, people may come or go there are no rules regarding.

There are no as such good placements but it often sometimes.average package of 360000 Almost 20% students get placed . I want to pursue higher education in ma economics , and after that i want to phd in economics

Likes

College buildings are very fabulous and strong.
Faculties of all subjects are very experienced.
College environment is so good and natural.

Dislikes

Infrastructure is very old and need to improve.
Drainage system and water supply are very poor
There are very low capacity of the central library.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I have studied history in intermediate and that is why I choose history for my graduation. Further I will apply for PhD in history. There are only annual examination and the difficulty lavel is medium to hard.

IsDC, the college amidst peace

Likes

Environment is very good especially the ambience and quietness. It really helps to focus on studies and being a central university is very hard to find peaceful environment in any other colleges under UA
Teachers are very supportive and the staff is also very great. Any issue regarding furnishing and needs of students and also they do consider to create discipline unlike other colleges that only consider studies
Also the infrastructure is very new. Plants and flowers all around and the ground is really big if you need to keep things out of mind and go out for a walk. It really is surrounded by trees providing good environment.

Dislikes

The library needs to be renewed cause the university is very old and due to this strong need of library because students need to look for books and process of getting a book is tough and time consuming.
Also the need for time management is very important. Students have to stay at college for far too long time and it becomes exhaustive after 6 hours to sit without break. It reduces drive to study afte sometime.
Class shifts are sometimes irregular although not very big issue but still it can be looked at. Sometimes teachers are very strict and feels like more of a school and less of a college we are in and that's one issue.

Well the ballb is one really hard course which requires a lot of focus and efforts to perform well in. Most of the times students don't perform good because of harshness in copy checking. Although the course and curriculum matches, what's best is that moot courts help for practical application of course and college really puts a lot of efforts into this

Likes

The faculty is well experienced and educated most of them have doctorates.
Lots of teachers for each and every subject and paper so there's no shortage.
The newer labs for example biochemistry are well equipped.

Dislikes

The city offers little to no recreation and is quiet small.
The labs for old departments like chemistry and zoology are vey rusty and old. Many equipments don't work and need repair.
Again the classroom for older departments are really old they have really poorly lit clasrooms that get really hot in summers.

The curriculum is quiet standard. You gain mostly theoretical knowledge and a little bit of practical knowledge too. Biochemistry and chemistry practicals can be useful in real world scenarios. The zoology practicals are quiet boring and not that useful it is mostly writing assignments.

My College review.

Likes

In my course, regular classes were there .
Since I was a regular atendee of the classes so everyone had a good interaction with my batchmates.
There was a sense of belongingness there in the university.

Dislikes

There was no proper college dress and attire.
Although attendence was compulsory but it was not followed properly.
Some classes were taken by scholars but not professors.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum was good. Since I took Mathematics and statistics so I had the opportunity to explore the dynamics of the subjects. Well, Statistics is quite useful in various aspects of our society.

Things that i like most is the harmony between seniors and juniors.
There are very good infrastructure and clean environment.And also the boy and girl ratio is almost same.
You can participate in many cultural activities.Faculties are too good.

Dislikes

There are some old buildings which should be replaced.
Job and placement opportunitis are low in arts faculty.

I am doing graduation in psychology and you can read here practically in psychology lab and you can also participate in many mental health awareness pragrammes. Exam are held annually and after two or three months you can get your results.

Details for admission in AU

Likes

There are regular classes which I like quite much.
I also like the location of University too as it's easy to reach.
I personally like the library here very much.

Dislikes

There is no separate canteen facility for girls and boys so there is too much crowd.
The distance between departments is quite much which is exhausting.
There are a lot of squabbles between people's in college too and they are quite frequent.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Teaching method of teachers is quite good but I think ancient history could be taught in a better way. As it doesn't seem very intresting. The frequency of exams is good too as it doesn't feel like burden due to yearly system

Likes

Historical buildings study and peaceful environment
Faculty are good and teachers are very supportive
Campus placement and teaching is also good

Dislikes

Classes are not regular and there is some problems

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for placement from final semester they get admission and study hard finally they achive there placement too highest package around 10 lakhs and lowest 3 lakh i think its a quite good amount
