The fees were moderate. Any middle class can afford to study at Banaras Hindu University. There was a sudden increase in the fees in the 2022 year. But it was not even that high. Recently Anne Besant fellowship is being provided to PG students who have completed their PG. This fellowship is given to those who have scored 8.5 cgpa in the 3rd semester. The benefit of this fellowship is that students who have completed their PG can get a direct chance to take admitted to Ph.D. They don't have to take any exams. Selection would be based on the interview. The stipend will be provided to those students who will clear the NET/JRF within one year after their admission.

There are many schemes like 'Earn while you learn' for students who come from financially weak households. Scholarships are also provided to meritorious students. There's no provision for any kind of loans through the University (as far as I know).
