BHU Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

The curriculum prepared is great . But the follow up is pathetic. They are not teaching any practical knowledge as written in the curriculum. They really need to provide us a fixed faculty based on our course. We should be provided classes and teachers of our course not some random research scholars. They don't complete the syllabus but will take exams in just one to one and half months i have completed two years here and currently I am giving mid sem exams of sem 5. Now you can imagine how it is here.the only proa here is that you will get a degree of BHU that's it .

Our course curriculum was quite good and informative as it covered various topics to a deep extent and due to new education policy the things are getting improved day by day. We had multiple speakers of national level very often in seminars so that we were well informed of the course.

We have best course of Arts hons especially Hindi Hons. All teachers and professors of Hindi aur down to earth they teach us in very peaceful way and helps us in every situation and problems even related to our personal life

The course is like very simple and understandable.It creates the foundation of the students who are willing to be the future aspirants of upsc.So yes it's the course which is opted by mostly civil services aspirants specifically in our BHU

The placement depends on the courses you choose. For example if you have German hons there is a chance of placement after the completion of your under graduation but if you are a student of some other subjects like archaeology hons or say English then you may have to do Post graduation for placements The environment and competition here makes the students laborious which leads to a hard working aura inside the students that prepares them for competitive exams too like ssc cgl or chsl and many more. Campus provides better environment for startups too as it has a renowned name on the basis of studies so companies often keep looking and take interest on these startups. I am also planning for phd here.

Economics is a very good and a very interesting subject. The curriculum over here focuses from basic to advance level . It starts its syllabus from basic micro and cover almost every field of economics. The curriculum try to give application in real world by adding dissertations, field surveys in syllabus. There are 4 semester in master and in every semester there is an end semester exam (that is of 70) and mid semester exam (that is of 30 marks) . The exam is mostly moderate .

Course placement is available in our college but the median package is just 800000 per annum and less students get placement offers. Students are eligible for placement I think so from the 5th semester. The percentage of placement is low from the last few years and my plans after getting a degree is to work in finance field and hopefully get a college placement

The curriculum is very up to date and this year in 2024 they have also adopted the National Education Policy ( NEP2020) and the syllabus has changed in accordance to that .The exams arent all that difficult if you paid attention in class and studied properly all year long. You must attend classes regularly and make all the noes properly and follow the instructions of the teacher . There are exams held every semester .Mostly the first semester exam starts from November - December. I think the teaching methods are conventional and thus they can also add e learning sort of things . Like digital classrooms etc . Which will help understand the course better .

There are many extra curricular activities organised by student community and college and you will find a lot of divers in culture and it will improve your confidence and make you a skilled person overall.

personally i like too much the curriculum of my course it too much helpful not too much hectic and not lenthy and it is relevent to civil service exam that is good for every student . in one single total 32exams has been taken by the university to pass one year ( internal & external )
