My course is BSc(hons.) biology and my particular subject is botany geology and chemistry. And my honour degree course is geology, geology is interesting while knowledge gaining subject in which we have to study rock science, minerals etc etc.. I want to do this course as this covers .y field of interest, and is truly interesting subject and new for science stream students. This course can be better if it involves more and more practicals, and tours to that particular area. Otherwise this course is so Broad and provides us opportunity to do better

I was a literature enthusiast as a result i chose English hons. The curriculum of every subject is as per UGC guidelines and if one thoroughly goes through their syllabus they can easily crack any academic exam like UGC NET, TGT, PGT, etc. My subject portion of the history of English literature was introduced a bit late and that can be improved by introducing it in the second year only. Semester Exam happen after every 5-6 months like everywhere else. If one takes their syllabus and classes seriously exams aren't too difficult.one can easily secure 7.5-8 CGPA

my plans after completion of this degree is i am gonna opt for law in my oost graduation, since i want to explore the line of corporate law this course will help me there also and our college also provide placement last year that max placement offers was of rupees 1500000 per annum

The study of English explores fascinating elements of both literature and language it allows u to develop a thorough knowledge of literature, history, and criticism. Literature allows us a window into places, people, places and situations, we wouldn't be able to experience otherwise.

Since I pursued B.A.(Hons) Sociology, in my personal opinion the course circiculum of the initial two years is primarily theoretic which can't be practically applied to modern day societal problems. However, in the 3rd year, subjects taught are relevant to an extent. The teaching methodolgy is old nd obselete, professors come and deliver their lecture. Since the college isn't equipped with digital boards there leaves no scope for teachers to use slides and other engaging mediums of teaching. The college lacks many basic amenities and even the library at a time can equip only 20-25 students. Exams are semester wise i.e. twice a year. To score 50+ out of 70 is all matter of overnight as one need to only prepare last 3 years question paper.

College placement is there. Here people get 7-8lakh placement on an average (20% got placed last year out of 60 total students). If we didn't get placed we can go for LLM or litigation or preparation of different law exams. Highest placement was 18lpa

BHU doesn't provide any placement provisions to those students who are associated with the Department of Arts and Commerce, whether that be Bachelor's or Master's. Placements are generally given to the students involved in the Engineering field with a average annual package being around 5 lakhs per annum.

There are many opportunities for placements and external jobs because of my surroundings and my limitations I was not interested in placements but after course I have good teaching post in a degree college with good sellary. eligibility criteria for placement–cgpa above 6.5 highest package–13lakhs/annum Average –5.8 lakhs per annum

The course included interesting topics and provided the base for pursuing a master's in mathematics. The mid-semester and semester exams were fun and challenging. Although the curriculum can be improved by including more practical classes.

Placements are generally for the courses like MBA BBA etc but they are not present in our college this is mainly for the main campus students and our collages affiliated. Right now there are general placements in the sectors of education it corporate banking etc and the average salary package per annum is 2.5 lacs
