Placements are very good but as recession is hurting every job there is the placements have fallen down a bit.
The campus life is quite bad compared to other indian institute of technology because the infrastructure is quite old and bad here and appears dull tbh.
Mess food is also stupid bad, its affordable, at only 15k per semester, but the quality is really bad.

All about IIT BHU

Likes

The best thing about iit bhu is the culture and environment that it provides to the students with freindly seniors.
Most importantly the placement opportunities that is provides which is very high in terms of numbers.
The location of the campus which is in the middle of the bustling city of Varanasi, which is full of life and vibrant festival celebrations.

Dislikes

The open campus brings some problem with it such as the security issue and traffic problem and some additional restrictions
The sports opportunity and facilities are there is less number than it should be as per an iit
As a government runned institute the accountability issue is there and delays in the work to be done in the institute.

Placement Experience:

The placement in iit bhu is the best you can get despite of not being called an old iit. Iit bhu ranks 3rd amoungs all iit in terms of placement and has a higher average ctc amoungs its rival iits. Also there are job opportunities even for lower branches.

Likes

There is a good placement atmosphere in our collage of almost all the branches
Students from all the parts of the country come here so we get a good exposure of all types of people.
As collage is located in the heart of varanasi, so it is well connnected and the student life is very good.

Dislikes

Male to female ratio is very low. for every 4 male there is 1 female .
The infrastructure of the collage is quite old.
The campus unlike other iits is not closed. So security can be a issue especially for girls.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I had preference of electronic engineering but as per my jee rank i got mechanical engineering. It is also quite good branch with a wide range of opportunites. The curriculum is lastest updated and courses such as manufacturing practices and labs prepare us for future industrial jobs. There are many irrelavant courses as of humanitites and music,dance. There is no reason for these subjects. The difficulty level of the exam is higher in the midsem compared to the endsem which carry high weightage and is also easier relatively .

IIT BHU Where You Learn Life with Engineering

IIT BHU's club culture offers extensive exposure for personal development, helps to interact with alumni and enabling students to build strong network.
The classes and Labs at IIT BHU are well-equipped and comfortable, providing students with a conducive learning environment.
The faculty are highly experienced and most actively involved in researches. students can take part of it and learn with team.

Dislikes

Overall infrastructure is decent, it could be better developed compared to other IIT's.
The library is overcrowded and its challenging to find a seat during peak hours .New library and reading halls should be constructed. const

Placement Experience:

TPC of IIT BHU is really good. IIT BHU is well known for its Placemets, It has 93% of placement rate of year 2023-2024 for UG 4 year. Top MNC's visit our campus to hire student. INR 1.65 cr was the higest pacage of 2023-2024. The avarage packge of students are 20 lpa here.

Unfolding IIT BHU

Clubs, their are more the 50 clubs to choose from.
Fests, their are many fests going on throughout the year
Internship and placement opportunities which the collage provides

Dislikes

Infrastructure, most of the buildings are more than 150 years old.
The curriculum is very old and is not revised from years.
Faculty is not supportive and interactive which makes studies difficult at times

Placement Experience:

Big companies providing both core and non-core jobs come. Almost 80% of the student's get placed. But the placment also largely depends on your overall cpi and branch.Internship opportunities are also very readily available.

IIT BHU - A Flight to a TECH FUTURE

Peers are very talented in both academics and non academics
Hostel and mess facilities are very good here every problem is been judged and resolved
College environment is very good to make a better life

Dislikes

Students after clearing the JEE exam comes here so they have little bit ego that they are supreme
Can say infrastructure... buildings here are too old and iit bhu onlu don't have ACs in their lectures hall
Everyone even from outsiders are allowed to enter in college

Placements are good depends on different branch branchwise placements vary From V semeter companies start to come and give internships to btech students . All the well known companies come in college and allow the student to work in their company This heighest package goes of 1.68 CPA form ceramic branch and computer science branch and lowest package goes around 6LPA from I think mining branch . And around 15-25% students got unplaced After getting degree I will go for corporates life and if I want to do some other changes in my life I will do

Review on IIT(BHU)- VARANASI

The coding culture is is magnificent. Almost 90% of the placement are in Non-core (IT) Sector
Institute has high world class labs and R&D opportunities to give to interested students. Professor have a lot in R&D.
The social life is awesome here. You get to enjoy lot of fest and even famous singer like vishal-shekar, local train band,etc have performed

Dislikes

College is not closed campus. Which result in a small lack of security.
Lack of AC in lecture theatre and common hall.
Lack of food chains like Dominos, CCD inside the campus.

Placement Experience:

placement here ranks among the top in all IITs in India. Written average package of about 20, lakhs per year. We get a lot of placement opportunities here in campus itself. International job offers exceeding 1,00,00,000 are also frequent here. Popular companies like Apple, graviton, Microsoft, Google ,sap labs, jaguar and many other worldwide companies visit here. Students are eligible in their final years first semester to apply for placement. this year about 1000 offers where made with an highest of 1.67,00,00,000 we had about 80% of students place and remaining maximum of them. Opt for the higher studies or start-ups. I would like to have graduation degree after my btech from here.

IIT BHU- Maintaining legacy of IIT's

Placement Experience:

From 3rd year, people get internship oppurtunities and can get a PPO. Main placements for all students are in 4th year. Many big companies like google, amazon, tcs and many more visits in our campus. Almost all students get placed and highest package is around 1.3 cr and average is around 19 lpa.

Me and my college life

Likes

Very good peer group which motivates you to do good in your academics.
Really good clubs and societies to explore your field of interest
Really good placements and internship opportunities for all tbe branches and all the students.

Dislikes

hostels are not good and there is very less space to live .
old infrastructure, even lecture halls dont have air conditioners.
extreme weather with very hot summers and cold winters.

IIT BHU OVERALL REVIEW

Likes

The new hostel for freshers are really good when compared to what freshers got last year
The sports facilities be it cricket or football or badminton or squash evry one is really good
The placements are the best thing about IIT BHU as far as my branch electrical is concerned its average is 30 and median is 28

Dislikes

The classrooms dont have acs and it feels really very hot during classes and the heat is unbearable
They still arent providing any non veg food in hostel
As its open campus anyone can come and create nuisances

Placement Experience:

The placement of the college is awesome about 80% of the total eligible batch was placed and the average package was about 20 to 25 lpa and median was about 18 to 20 lpa which is really good considering the current placement scenario

My friend is an alumnus of IIT-BHU and he was a member of the Kashi Utkarsh too. He claims the organization is doing really well in eradicating the prevalent social constraints through the collective efforts of the group. The body convinces the financially weak families living in Varanasi slums to send their children to schools with the help of KU funding.

As easy as this may sound, the actual process is very tiring. The families are hell-bent against education and persuading them is a big task. The relentless efforts of the team members of KU and their compassion to serve the weak have brought massive changes in society.

However, some students of the institute don’t give KU the respect they deserve and are not ready to spend a single penny claiming that KU pockets the funds themselves.

If you visit the social media handles of the KU members, you will find a list of children who get into the formal education system along with their school fees being paid by KU. Dictionary the constant assistance from professors like Prof. Ashim Mukherjee with KU helps KU stay strong.

What are the changes that took place in the college after IT-BHU got converted into IIT BHU?

My friend was a student at IIT BHU and he witnessed a number of changes as the IT BHU got converted into IIT BHU.

The Vishwakarma hostel became a 3 storied building
Kashi yatra, the annual socio-cultural festival of IIT(BHU) Varanasi stayed open till 10.
The grading system first changed to absolute from relative and then finally back to relative grading.
Mid-semester tests were introduced in place of class tests.
One of the sandwich shops became a complete multi-storied restaurant.
The Chemical Engineering department was updated in many ways.
The students were no longer allotted single rooms.
The campus facilities were improved including the Internet connections.
The 90 % attendance rule was introduced.
The institute got 3 new directors.

These were some of the changes my friend witnessed after the IT BHU got transformed into IIT BHU.

My review of IIT BHU will be based on some very common parameters.

Infrastructure: The academic buildings are not air-conditioned and are equipped with obsolete instruments. The hostels are surrounded by natural beauty but the living conditions are pathetic with cramped rooms and dirty toilets. The poor LAN connections are a major major problem here.
Faculty: The faculty again is very disappointing. some even lack basic knowledge and some are too arrogant to guide the students. The answer sheets are checked in a disorganized way and the pedagogy adopted is old school. So here, you will have to completely depend on self-study.
Research: The majority of the faculty focuses on administrative tasks and fails to encourage students to research work. The institute has no globally recognized research work to date.
Facilities: The library has poorly organized books and lacks good study material. The LAN network is another major issue faced by students here. The departments are closed by 6 ok and the library is locked by 10 pm. This is a major hindrance during exams.
Campus life: The frequent student activities make the campus life of IIT BHU lively and dynamic. A number of activities are organized in IIT-Gymkhana by the students and Kashi Yatra is the annual cultural festival of the institute. There are amazing sports facilities like huge grounds and fields for Cricket, Football, Badminton, and Tennis.
Placements: IIT BHU has one of the best placements among the top IITs. Currently, IIT Bhu Placements 2023 is being held and around 474 offers and 305 PPOs have been made. IIT BHU's highest CTC was recorded at INR 1.2 CPA. A total of 117 recruiters took part in IIT BHU Placements 2023. Top recruiters included Airbnb India, Uber, Microsoft, Accenture, Piramal, etc. Last year the highest CTC stood at INR 2.05 CPA which was offered by UBER.

Overall, IIT BHU is a great choice if you are willing to sacrifice the hostel conditions and self-study.

Pharmaceutical Society and Department of Pharmaceutical Engineering & Technology, IIT (BHU) organize the Nation's largest pharmaceutical fest-SPIRIT.

SPIRIT is an annual fest of pharmaceutical engineering & Tech. branch of IIT(BHU). It is a national level event where pass out students can also participate. Pharma and medical enthusiasts from the country come together in this two-day fest to encapture new ideas and innovations to bring out the best of the participants. There are many competitions where you can compete to share and gain knowledge and ideas. Workshops and seminars are also organized. IIT(BHU) is the only IIT having a pharma branch, that's why it is the best college of pharma. The Department of Pharmaceutical Engineering and Technology, IIT (BHU) was established in 1932.
